  • Love Poco! My favorite band....love to watch Paul play the guitar...

  • @MrCainandabel, I am 28 and have loved classic rock my whole life. It's only been in the last year or so that I have really discovered Poco, and LOVED them. Even though I wasn't alive when the music came out, I do feel much simpler and more peaceful, and well, happier whenever I hear them. Keep enjoying!

  • @XFiles1993 That is great that you found them! Timothy B. Schmidt is the bass player in this video(the guy with the long hair) he was Poco's "2nd" bass player. Their first was Randy Miesner who lleft and went to the Eagles and then Tim took his place in Poco. Then when Randy left the Eagles, Tim took his place there too! Either way, great music!

  • Check out some old Nitty Gritty Dirt Band if you like this.Or Buffalo Springfield

  • @gol7on4 Richie Furray and Jim Messina came from Buffalo to form Poco in 1968 I believe and started in Denver, Co. Great mucians that have made it a lifetime and are still going! YES!

  • The lead singer, Paul Cotton, MUST have been hugely popular with the ladies. He's absolutely gorgeous!

  • Love these guys> Poco is great

  • This was great music for the hiway. I always remember the sunset in Wyoming many years ago listening to the "Legend" album. Those were awesome times and happy days.

  • YET ^

  • Paul Cotton, Rusty Young and Timmy Schmit were my heroes in the 70s and 80s...............I loved their music and I still do. I'm nearly 60 years old yet I'm a stupid, foolish, youngster when I hear their music again. Take me back boys, take me back down the years!

  • I don't care how long Poco has been around........I LOVE EM!!!!!!! Sooooo many memories to their music!!!! :)

  • Love that Gretsch White Falcon sound.I bought all their records in the 70's .Wish everyone else had. They are great.

  • T.B.S. workin that Jazz Bass with a pick,sounds great !

  • Paul Cotton and Rusty Young got their first Gold record Crazy Love when all the original members were emigrated to different bands at that time,,,one of them Tim Schmit

  • Been in love with the music of Poco since high school! Think they are still FANTASTIC!! i CAN PUT ON THERE MUSIC AND ALMOST IMMEDIATELY MY MOOD GETS BETTER! They had a tape out years ago called BLUE and GREY! Have looked but can't find it?

  • Paul, If you ever read this, I just want to thank you for all the classic guitar rifts over the years. Every one is very creative and memorable. I love learning them myself. I just want you to know how much other guitarists appreciate you.

  • I LOVE Poco and the Eagles, and Fleetwood Mac...people think its odd cos I'm a Pacific Island/Maori, not quite 30 - I guess they expect me to be into pop/hip hop etc, which I am but this stuff is awesome... :)

  • JUST LISTEN TO THAT!! How could ANY band be better than that? I LOVE these guys! I have played guitar since the early 70's and Poco was then and is now my top favorite band! They make me feel good. Just listening to their music brings me up!! The Eagles could never be as good as Poco I just can't understand why Poco was not on the top. They were what defines every other band in that genre of music. No one ,No band could ever best Poco! They are THE best band !

  • I was raised on Poco and Im 33. Great music and I play it around my kids. Poco should've been given more recognition for their music.

  • So what if the Establishment did not recognize it. In the days when this was written being discovered and blasted over the airwave was a sign of selling out. So they just kept creating wonnderful music and trust me they had plenty of fans in and out of the music industry. I just love to hear them again. That's reward enough for me.

  • paul cotton-guitar and vocals, rusty young-pedal steel, harmony, timothy schmidt-bass, harmony, don grantham-drums harmony.

i'd love to see a don felder paul-cotton album.

  • Poco is It!

  • I really love this band , reminds me of a time when everything was simple nd easy !

  • There album "From the Inside" was huge in the 70's. At least where I grew up in NE Jersey. Love these guys. Way ahead of there time like most monsters back in that day.

  • Poco is the band The Eagles always wanted to be.

  • @PlymouthVT You are right: Paul Cotton singing and Rusty Young on slide

  • I love Poco. Is that Paul Cotton singing and Rusty Young on slide or do I have it backwards?

    Thanks for posting!

  • @PlymouthVT

    Paul singin and Rusty Slidin.

  • who really suck is those who have "disliked" the video

  • I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song! Beyond any other Poco song, this is MY song!

  • why are people so obsessed with popular success? would it enhance your appreciation for the music if they had been big million sellers? sometimes huge commercial success does not have a positive effect on creativity or inspiration. the music of Poco is still there to enjoy. have a good time, listen, and forget about what "should have been".

  • @pretorious700 you got that right partner....................well said

  • what a hidden gem...a diamond

this pioneering spurred my many hikes in the Wilderness areas---solo, almost the best time of my life

  • Why Poco never went mainstream I;ll never understand. IMO they are the best band of all time in this genre, with the possible exception of CCR if you want to put those two bands in the same category, which they aren't.

  • @Ghenghy How about on the same bill? Awesome!

  • The rock n roll hall of fame is a joke

there are so many bands who deserve to be inducted but haven't been like Joe Walsh the James Gang

  • brill

  • Great music but people need to look deeper into this kind of music.. the early stages of this music were created by Ricky Nelson.. many of the original Poco, Eagles and other bands got their start with Ricky in his Stone Canyon Band. This was real music and was so under-rated during its days.. but one thing about good music. it lives on forever and music of Ricky, Poco, Eagles and other bands similar will live forever.

  • @NitroManXoX

God bless you and THANK YOU for pointing this out! I have argued this for YEARS with those who think they know all the history...but facts can't be denied...Stone Canyon Band existed before Poco or the Eagles. Yey, it seems NO ONE will speak of SCB, as if it would cause their head to explode or something.

  • Loved it, Loved it, Loved it !!!

  • Love this track. A lovely breezy summer feel to this track.

    dave

  • must be a Madison Avenue reason these guys aren't heralded as much as the Eagles, this is truly beautiful, I just discovered this band, and I am in love!

  • The band used to stay at the New York Sheridan many moons ago. Me and my girl would take their clothes up to the room from the valet laundry and that's how we got to meet the band. Three or four times and each time they were are friendly and down to earth as possible. Got to see them over a dozen in as many years and always paid for a great show. It's a Good Feelin' To Know. Definitely native sons-not from NY.

  • Paul Cotton knocked it out of the park with this song !

  • They are and have always been a great guitar band.

  • Wow!! love this song!!! Thanks for uploadin such a great footage! I really appreciat it from my heart

  • Dreamy, peaceful song to relax to and be carefree for awhile.Poco had neat songs and harmonies. Remember them from the 70's.Alot of good songs from the 70's and 80's.

  • Just saw Timothy B. Schmit 12-7-09 at Portland's Aladdin Theater. Voice hasn't aged one bit, and he had a backing band every bit as musically talented as The Eagles. I would have been thrilled to see a solo acoustic show for my $21. ticket but he treated us to the full album sound of the new songs from "Expando" plus his classic stuff from Poco and The Eagles. "I Can't Tell You Why" was note for note as perfect as the original on "The Long Run." What a night!

  • a dvd of all these old film clips would be nice rusty.and old live concerts as well any one agree with me .anyway keep it country and southern amen

  • what a nice sound - what an easy time!

  • what a great moodfull song!

  • This was a great album..loved the title tune and a pretty solid album top to bottom..just no top 40 hit, but a great tune.

  • If anyone wants to post a vid (or even just audio) of "Find Out In Time" from the Indian Summer LP/CD, I won't object. :D

    Love that little tune....

  • Duh, Timothy B Schmidt....hello

    \

  • Duh...Timothy B Schmidt...

  • I used to love Poco...Indian Summer was my favorite album back then. Great fibe throughout the album and it just made me feel great!!! Actually, I think they sounded as good or better than the Eagles, but hey, the Eagles rocked then too! Lot of guys came and went with Poco, to other bands.

  • forgot to say........Food for the soul.

  • when music was real music without all the fashion and makeup...true artists.....

  • Very nice.

There was a beautiful vibration to their music, along with a heartfelt quality.

  • Ah 1977, riverside park, grand forks, Eric Ashem, it was my first time. To Indian summer

  • This takes me back.....Wow! Indian Summer is by far the best Poco album in my opinion. It is the one with the most good songs. Other albums har one song that maybe outshines this albums', but in tital itøs the best.

It's a bit funny. In those days I favoured Poco over Eagles and other Contry Rock bands. Looking back today I feel The Eagles had better songs. But I still love the feel of this particular album and consider it to be one of the top three country rock albums og all time. Pure joy!

  • I could look at Timothy B Schmit all day - would love to have seen him back in the day

This is such a great track

  • I was in the late 60's/early 70's a huge Poco fan. I still am. But, to echo your sentiments, I stopped taking dates to Poco concerts back in the day, because inevitably, they would all fall in love with TBS! Man, I thought I was turning them on to good music, and all they wanted was him. Geesh! Bummer for me.

  • The Eagles had to steal Timothy and sign Joe as a free agent before they could surpass Poco......by far the #1 country-rock band EVER !

  • I agree, as far as just classic music goes, Poco is very and always be underrated compared to the Eagles

  • I always preferred Poco to Eagles.

    By quite a bit, actually.

    But that's just me.

  • This song is great. It has a little Eagles sound to it. Never heard it before. Or should I say the Eagles have a little Poco sound.

  • timothy i want to make luv to you

  • Look at Paul and Rusty with hair!

  • I'm a Poconut from way back but I have to say I've never heard this song before. It must be one of the first songs after Richie split because Timothy is still with the band. Great song! Thank's for posting it.

  • the album was named "Indian Summer"...tryin to remember when Richie split....I think it was after "Crazy Eyes" and this album was the followup to Poco "7"...which was a GREAT album...

  • i love Poco

  • Good to see Timothy B. on Bass Guitar ! Love this song !

  • One of my all time fav. bands

  • Rusty Young on steel guitar!

    Sweet!

  • This is God!!

    It's Magic Time!

Poco is the best no matter what you guys say 'No'.

    Thank you for postin.

  • ABSOLUTELY transports me somewhere else!!! The voices of Paul Cotton and Tim Schmit are just MAGICAL!!!! Sends chill bumps all over me!

  • i hear it in my small town....

  • Paul Cotton Rulez

  • Poco was so underated. The Eagles owe much of their success to the path that Poco had made. Even with all the personnel changes--they were always great.

  • When this song came out, every other song faded into it's shadow.

  • steel guitar does it

  • One of my all time favorite bands. Rusty inspired me to buy a steel guitar, Tim inspired me to sing harmony, Paul inspired my guitar playing. Great band, great tune!

  • 5 clock in the morning....

  • What really sucks is they aren't in the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame.

  • @OGENELLLA no.what REALLY sucks is that they weren't BIGGER(in popularity and record sales)than the eagles.

  • @gittahfiend I hear you, I was in the business for 10 years and never could figure how fame could strike one band yet much lesser fame hit another one. They are every bit as good as the Eagles and in some instances better.

  • @OGENELLLA Your right cause they certainly belong! The volume of music and the quality should surely put them in!!!

  • They all are great singers , One the Best Bands in The World,

  • wow, did this take me back to high school.......wow, the memories.....ml

  • SONG WITH WINGS...

  • Such a great song, love the White Falcon Gretsch tone! I wish I could have seen Poco back in the day.

  • he is my grandpa's brother- i never got to meet him though

  • It's great you uploaded this -whenever I need to re-set my brain, blow out the worries, get that lazy BBQ, breezy Saturday, tinkering with my trail bike feeling, I just mosey on over to marish4sure for some Poco therapy !

  • well come on to Bamiyan,Afghanistan and we'll do de-Ghan Hustle yo!

  • no matter how he looks, Paul Cotton will always be great. Poco will always be great. their music is timeless.

  • Indian Summer, my favorite album of all. Except for maybe Keep on Trying and Cantamous. (They are close.)

  • Paul Cotton used to have good look and great songs too, thanks for posting one of their latest great ones.

  • Thanks for posting this. It's amazing... Timbaland and oasis have millions of hits on you tube and LESS THAN 43,000 people out there have watched this classic! Maby because as hardlines4 said - they playing lots o' crap on the radio stations so people that weren't around in the seventies would have never heard of this great band!

  • My own favorite from this album is "Find Out in Time"

  • One of their best songs. Just listened to the CD and it STILL sounds great.

  • im looking for country girl...

  • Still no Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction, This band deserves it!

  • Help put Poco in the R&R Hall of Fame by going to petitiononline-dot-com. I agree they deserve it!

  • Will do, thanks for the heads up.

  • very nice.

  • EXCELLENT!!!

Thank you for uploading this gem!

  • Now this is REAL music... The idiot radio stations should be totally ASHAMED not playing this and other lost classics over the airways!

  • hola! marisha4sure thanks for publish this memorable tune from the very best country rock band by far...this song counts with mr. donald fagen playing arp odyssey and other synth devices to great effect...dreamy tune, dreamy memories...;-)

  • Just when I thought I heard everything from Poco they realeased this. Fantastic title song from a very underated album.

  • Ah more soothing sounds from this awesome band. Such great harmony, love the White Falcon Filtertron tone!

  • Who is with me here? Poco sings beautiful song that really touch your heart like no other. Simple as that. I just go to heaven on all of there songs.

  • I remember when I first heard this on the radio. I was hooked. This is their best tune.

  • Oh this makes me cry ...the memories it brings! Such a great song and Timothy was sooooo adorable ~ still is. :o)

  • Always ticks me off that the world fell in love with the Eagles and never 'got' Poco or Pure Prairie League.

  • rose of cimarron is a beautiful song

  • If you haven't seen Poco perform recently, you should go see them. They travel the US all year. I've seen them in Ft. Lauderdale, Denver and Boulder in the last two years. Paul Cotton is as good or better than he was in the 70's.

  • Best place to see them? The "Living Room Concert Series" at Wildwood Springs Resort south of Cuba, Missouri. They fit about 200 people in the lobby and set the "stage" up at the fireplace. The bands there eat dinner with fans, mingle with them and the show is very intimate and personal.

  • Great to see this finally, such a fine song.

  • Makes me think of a beautiful fall day, leaves turning, wife in arms.......life is good when this song plays!

  • Awesome song!! I never heard of Poco until a couple weeks ago when I was listening to The Eagles, have been listening to this song ever since, even went and ordered one of their CD's from the States to have a listen too. Go Poco!!

  • Ahh! to be back in the 70s. Great Band Thanks for posting.

  • Amazingly enough the hacks at the rock N. Roll Hall of Fame STILL haven't picked POCO to be in the hall! Add to that The Doobie Brothers and Three Dog Night and is it REALLY the rock n' roll hall of fame?

  • RR/ H/Fame? Bah, humbug. Where's CCR, Hollies, Raspberries, Blue Oyster Cult, Moody Blues, Grass Roots, Four-Tops, POCO?? But they've inducted Madonna?? 'mnuggs' I found them the same way you did -the Eagles; only 20+ years ago. SEE THEM!!! Rusty is a tremendous pedal steel, dobro, etc. player. Saw Richie solo (2007), his daughter doing back-up. Still rockin', still enjoying it. Get ALL of their CD's, I have and can't decide which is my favourite. Their solo CD's are strong as well.

  • CCR, as in John Fogerty and co? They are in the Hall already, inducted in 1993 by Bruce Springsteen.

    Richie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • no, it isn't, poco was (is) great, and my records have a better sound oh yes, the 70's

  • Great band, great song! They got a lot of FM airplay in Colorado in the 70's.

  • i saw poco on legacy tour in columbus ohio and i was hooked for good. paul cotton is amazing- so good.

  • Far and away my favorite Poco song. Thank You.

  • Great song! Poco deserves to be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. True innovators.

  • oh yeahhhhh...comon BABY, HOLD MY HAND, DANCE WITH MEEEEEEEEEE....can you feel it....where are the real guys????

  • Ahhhhhhh, bring me back to the 70's, when music was MUSIC!

  • Great song from the most underrated rock band

in history. Great personnel came thru this band and inspired many others esp. The Eagles

funny how the music biz goes. They did have a GOLD album in 1978 called Legend. Check it out!!

  • 'Legacy' 1989 did well also and hit top 40 with three hit singles..

  • Glenn Frey and Don Henley actually were inspired by Poco. They dug their sound very much. So the Eagles were modeled after Poco in a way.

  • Nice video, an amazing song!

  • Awesooomme video!!!

  • Christ I love this song - and Rose Of Cimarron..greatly underrated band...

  • One of my favorite Poco songs from my stoner days.

1977 for sure, I got my memory back!

  • Please post more Poco Songs and thank you for the ones you have already uploaded.

  • great to see poco with timothy b. doing one of the great songs.

  • Poco from 1977 with Timothy B Schmit on bass, now with the Eagles..
