anything after 20 minutes is considered late-game. mass bcs would be considered late game, but that would be late-late game.

the term late game refers to both players maxing out units with all possible tech; after hive tech is finished for zerg, science facility + addons for terran, and archives/fleet beacon/tribunal for toss are done, the game enters "late game"

It depends on the races involved. Anything past 10min is late game in ZvZ since people only go mutaling, whereas TvT games can often go 30-40min. Late game in TvT probably starts somewhere between 20 and 30 mins in. Probably at about when bc's come into play, or when each player has 5 dropships or so. In ZvZ, late game is each player having their natural expansion up and running. For all the non-mirror matches, 18 minutes sounds about right, as well as for PvP, but 30min isn't uncommon for TvT.

Late game is max or nearly max armies for both players and 2/0 upgrades for both players so the siege shells kill in two shots.

This game wasn't late-game, it was cleanup. FBH was way ahead the whole game and the question was just how he was going to win. He chose third gas and 2/0 upgrade.

I'm not sure if BCs at that point could really be considered humiliation; when one player gets massively ahead in TvT, BCs are a very safe way to win. The only ways FBH could have lost there were ridiculous drops (which is why he had an inordinate number of turrets at the very end), surprise tech switch, or wasting all his tanks against a fortified defense. BCs crack any fortified defense and own any tech switch, so they seal the victory for FBH. And there is no reason not to get them.
