If they were able to harness the power of a true quantum link they don't even need to be stone when they move. Because the particles change they could literally be anything. they don't even need to look like an angel when they make the swap. They could actually,for just a split second "look" like a regular person. By the way @BritaniaAngel I now feel better about it for having listened to your observation. I love other points of view!

I have watched Dr Who since I was 6 (1975) and I remember Davros appearing in Genesis of the Darleks...he scared the crap out of me. THEN, at 40+ years old, I see the Weeping Angels for the first time. All I can say is I am glad I wasn't 6!! My kids (10 and 11) poop their pants at ever angel statue the see now! MEGA CREEPY stuff....

Honestly; I don't think they should have ever shown the Angles moving.

I mean, we're watching them, aren't we?

They followed that motif in 'Blink' *(they purposely edited it so that; whenever an angel moved, even if they were on screen, they would be blocked by something, such as a moving person)*.

I don't think anyone's addressed this, and if they have, I'm sorry to have tried to steal their thunder.

There's always a few fractions of a second that the video cameras cannot capture. (In a normal video camera, I believe every frame is a thirtieth of a second.) Well, in that fraction of a second that the camera cannot capture, the angels can move. They are moving in those spaces, they are learning to use those fractions of a second and they are coming for us.

Forgot to add this; It can be picked up by the almost 'jerky' movement of the angel. See how it's not a fluid motion that we're use to? It looks kinda like a bad stop motion film, yeah? That is the Angel only moving in those spaces. It can't move continuously, like Amy can, so they have to stop for a slip second, move a split second, and so forth. It makes a stop-start-jerky kind of motion.

@BritaniaAngel but in case of a camera if no-one is looking at the monitor they can move during the actual click of the film, plus each of those little pieces of film will each hold the image of an angel and therefore will become an angel.
