@FashionedUp I appriciate your oppinion but I have to disagree. The tempo makes the song. I now know why this song it wasn't a succes in the 80"s, it's not a balled song it's an up-tempo song. This version could have made it to the charts, again this is my oppinion.

The 80s were fantastic. I absolutely loved the 80s. Music was everything back then. Be who you want to be, play music, and not worry about things. People cared about others more back then, too. There was a recession in the very early 80s, but it doesn't compare to the current one.

Love this. Probably my fave DD single...certainly as good as anything they released. Strange it's a much less well known single...a bit like Careless Memories. Top tune! With a great groove to it.

Russell Mulcahy on top form. He knew how to dress, light and edit Roger. John totally gets it. Just watch the way Mulcahy brings out John's beauty and attitude and, at the same time, shamelessly turns Nick ultra-fem. Simon clearly was ego stroked throughout the shoot and gives a self aware performance. Shot on film this gave Duran's image a gigantic lift at the time and paved the way for Rio. The rest is history. Simple ideas, wonderfully executed.

actually another poster got it right... it was the released single version. it was put out like 6 months before Rio was released, and can be found on the Duran Duran 'Singles 81-85' box set. It is close to the night version because they were released at the same time. Personally I like this hi tempo version much better than the Rio version... much much better.
