strangely enough the PSP vita has more system ram than the PS3 and xbox360, porting full sized games like Mass Effect 3 (which will come to the PSP vita) is far easier.
also the PSP vita has a 4 core CPU and a 4 core GPU and is twice as fast as an iPad2, and at some tasks it can actually beat the xbox360 and PS3.

@JohanOlsson It will be somewhere between PS2 and PS3. It does have HD visuals because of the smaller screen and higher resolution. Check some other vids on my channel, they will give a good example of what the Vita is capable of
@JohanOlsson It will be about 70% PS3 and 30% PS2. I know these characters look like dolls but its not PSVitas fault, the one who created this engine didnt make them look good.. btw go check Uncharted, it has almost PS3 graphics and the characters look AWESOME. In Japan when they revealed the PSvita codenamed NGP they tested a PS3 game running on PsVita.. It was Metal Gear Solid, and it was 19 - 27 frames per second.. man this thing is very powerful..

@JohanOlsson hey ^.^ you're welcome.. well yea PS3 has a 1 processor that has 7 threats in it running at 3.2 ghz, its a very good hardware but the game developers are TOO LAZY (cuz it needs more work) to make games compatible for that processor, so they make it run at 3 processors like Xbox (has 3). uncharted 3, if you have seen the gameplay, has very good graphics cuz they use all CPU's. & About Wii U, yea its 40 % more powerful than PS3 but PS3 (continue on the next comment)

@jazz7205 PS3 & Xbox 360 graphic cards are too old, only the Processors are good.. and i dont think that they will launch the PS4 in 2015 cuz in that time, PS3 should play games in low resolution like 480p cuz games are requiring better hardware every month. but if the PS3 and Xbox make the graphics way lower than the PC's - same as Battlefield 3 did, its okay.

@therealwouter directx or opengl have no impact on how graphics look, they both are pretty limited on the consoles.
and recently almost no xbox360 games looks or performs better than the PS3, with one or two exception of a few lazy developers.
but first party xbox360 are the ugliest looking games on the xbox360 (alan wake and all the halo's are fugly with a capital F) especially compared to Sony's first party.

And yes, it looks like an early 360/PS3 game, reminds me a lot of Oblivion (watch a video of it if you don't believe me), which was released near the start of this current gen. Have you ever seen Nintendo 64, PS1 or PSP graphics? They would NEVER be able to run this. And I looked at FF8 - while the art style means it's good looking for a PS1 game, it's nowhere near as good looking as this. Look at 0:07, 0:11, and 0:16
@Bondytheecliff lol no offence but I think you might need glasses and/or a better quality monitor or something. Did you even own a ps1 or 2? I have a ps3, which I'm pretty used to by now, and these visuals are almost (#ALMOST) on par with it. The only real difference I see is the smoothness of character movement, which I'm sure looks a lot better on the actual screen, though it is only 5 inches wide (smaller than this youtube video window), compared tv-sized consoles like the ps1 - 3.
