I work with Hal several times a week. Watching this documentary has given me a new sense of what a talented actor and local Indy celebrity he is. Oh, and for whoever is interested, the gift shop at the Indiana Historical Society in downtown Indy on the canal sells the complete dvd...come on down, you may even get to meet Hal acting up a storm!
tsnakehenderson, he is such a kind hearted man still. Still on the go constantly and still performing. Not for kids any longer, but for adults. They love him and are the ones who know him. He is so at home in front of an audience of baby boomers and above. lol
I ran into Harlow (Hal) back in the late 80's on the steps of an apartment building, at 38th and Meridian St. I was returning home, and he had just visited somebody, I said to him, "Are you Harlow Hickenlooper?", a huge smile came across his face, as he said, YES!!! He thanked me for remembering him...we talked a little bit...took me back...way back...even then.
russc98, harlow gave so many kids these great memories. I just wanted to make sure generations to come got to witness them as well. The complete dvd will be available through harlow's website one day very soon. I almost have it completed!
Thanks for using the photos I submitted. I enjoyed this very much and it brought back so many good memorys. I watched Harlow and Curley every Saturday. Loved the pie in the face so much we filmed a pie fight on a 8mm home movie. Mom loved that mess. Ha ha ! Thanks so much to Harlow and Curley. Thanks papaw for everything you have done to make this all happen. Alot of work but well worth it ! God bless you all !
papaw, thanks for posting this wonderful piece of central Indiana television history! I watched Harlow and Curley Myers every Saturday morning when I was a kid. I'm glad that you are offering this interview...

I sang Harlow's "Happy Birthday" to my poor daughter and many friends over the years. Wow, take me back
I remember when Hal landed a role in a Stooges film - we were so excited to see our "Harlow" on the big screen.
Thanks so much for posting
