But regards all you forget 1 Massive Point : Conearea : your soundstream xxx 18" can never move as much air then 10 of those . never forget the conearea rule x the x-max . So short answer : yes the Soundstream xxx will have the motorforce what maybe 3 to 5 of the big clarions would have ; but the Soundstream can just move as much air that he can do : what is Alot lower then 10 of the Clarions .

@gfhnk best 21" you can get your hands on is the Precision Devices PD 2150. its a PA sub but it has a hugh 6" voice coil and still has a high efficiency of 99db 1W@1M
its interesting to see the specs of typical car audio speakers -they typically handle over 1000 watts, reproduce subsonic frequencies well but have an efficiency rating well below most of the pro audio drivers...a simple example shows that for a speaker with a SPL rating of 92 dB 1w/1m (most are lower) to achieve 128 dB would take over 4000 watts...to get to 131 dB would take over 8000 watts.
Of course in a small confined area with many drivers I suppose you'd get up there.
Dont forget : the speaker can have a efficienty of 92 db 1w/1m ... ; but dont forget to add the efficienty of the accoustical inviroment . A system can only be as efficient as the box build around the speaker .
In a large folded horn you'll pick up around 6 dB, in a bandpass its more about tuning a chosen frequency group while eliminating others -gain is negligable.
...The 92dB spec does seem a bit high for car audio, I'm sure there's better but for many of the single or DVC's available I see things like ;
Lanzar Optidrive 12' @ 88 dB
MTX Jack hammer 12' @ 90dB
HiVi SP10 10" @ 84 dB
Dayton Titanic MK3 12' @ 89dB
...Although the Pioneer "Champion Series 12" claims 97 db -if true I'm impressed
The cheaper ts 301r by pioneer hits 94 and its like a 400 (rms) sub hitting just as hard with less power. Thats why jbl is the bomb. Get the gto 1022 or something and the right enclosure and your set. btw smaller amplifers soo you save money
Actually the Fi BTL 18" claims 94 db sensitivity. And on almost every pair of earbuds I read about 112 to 119 db sensitivity. Is it really possible to create a speaker that produces more energy than you put in it? If we can take the acoustical energy from a more than 100% efficient speaker could this theoretically be endless energy, lol?
did you forget? DC level 5 18" is louder, MTX 22" jackhammer can do 150+ DB with just 1, you can burp the fuck out of alot of subs and hit high numbers. giving them more than their peak power for a 3 second burst and call it a day.
I don't know much about DC audio, and so many people complain about Jackhammers know one ever discusses it's actual capabilities. But true, burping subs does put out some serious DB's.
speakers at most are like 1.2 % efficient and thats head phones that are right in your ears, sensitivity for speakers is usually measured at 1 m, at 2.83v at 1 watt

The mics in cameras do not do any of these super systems justice. They can't even handle my 2 12s. I would love to have a Steve Mead machine and that Clarion thing in the same parking lot to compare in person.

Thise 32" subs are VERY old school. They have been around for atleast 12 years. I remeber seeing them at the 1997 Iasca finals in Dallas. They werent playing them and they looked like a joke. It had a small motor structure from a 15 or 18 and the rep in there booth said they were intended for show use They only had a x-max in the .3"-.35" range.

In a large folded horn you'll pick up around 6 dB, in a bandpass its more about tuning a chosen frequency group while eliminating others -gain is negligable.
...The 92dB spec does seem a bit high for car audio, I'm sure there's better but for many of the single or DVC's available I see things like ;

...Although the Pioneer "Champion Series 12" claims 97 db -if true I'm impressed

The cheaper ts 301r by pioneer hits 94 and its like a 400 (rms) sub hitting just as hard with less power. Thats why jbl is the bomb. Get the gto 1022 or something and the right enclosure and your set. btw smaller amplifers soo you save money

Actually the Fi BTL 18" claims 94 db sensitivity. And on almost every pair of earbuds I read about 112 to 119 db sensitivity. Is it really possible to create a speaker that produces more energy than you put in it? If we can take the acoustical energy from a more than 100% efficient speaker could this theoretically be endless energy, lol?

i wouldnt believe what the FI BTL claims. since there are subs with sensitivities below 85 that hit harder than they do.

The only sub that I've heard other YouTubers claim to be louder than the Fi BTL are AudioPulse Ultra subs, but I don't really know their specs.

did you forget? DC level 5 18" is louder, MTX 22" jackhammer can do 150+ DB with just 1, you can burp the fuck out of alot of subs and hit high numbers. giving them more than their peak power for a 3 second burst and call it a day.

I don't know much about DC audio, and so many people complain about Jackhammers know one ever discusses it's actual capabilities. But true, burping subs does put out some serious DB's.

speakers at most are like 1.2 % efficient and thats head phones that are right in your ears, sensitivity for speakers is usually measured at 1 m, at 2.83v at 1 watt

He did do some Db Drags with it for Fun ,
at low low frequencies it produced a high 150 , low 160 , at 9 Hz if i remember right it could do a 152 +- db

The mics in cameras do not do any of these super systems justice. They can't even handle my 2 12s. I would love to have a Steve Mead machine and that Clarion thing in the same parking lot to compare in person.

Too much bass doesnt make the music sound good! its the way how yu set the equilizer. One can enjoy tht song million times more on juss a normal hi-fi system! :|

Thise 32" subs are VERY old school. They have been around for atleast 12 years. I remeber seeing them at the 1997 Iasca finals in Dallas. They werent playing them and they looked like a joke. It had a small motor structure from a 15 or 18 and the rep in there booth said they were intended for show use They only had a x-max in the .3"-.35" range.
