  • okay davros say you do destroy reality what are going to do after that

  • Lol becused drwho

  • The Doctor: "Ermm wouldn't destroying reality kill you in the process?" Davros: "Shut up! I'm evil! I can do evil things! MWAHAHAHAHA!!!" The Doctor: "Right......................"

  • @TheNandojoe yeah but he IS a Kaled like u said and i the daleks were mutated kaleds, then surely Davros, to make a dalek mutated his own Kaled DNA and therefore had pure Daleks

  • If only this was a film trailer incorporating the stolen earth apesode

  • This is best promo in all of sci fi history!!!

  • Funny

  • EXCELLCENT

  • EPIC!!!! :D

  • This is best Doctor Who trailer I have seen Davros looks a little bit of Darth Sidious =)

  • For everyone who criticised this ep, I reckon they r appreciating a bit more since Victory of the Daleks. Granted it as a 1 part, episode 3 not a 3 part finale cross over with Davros but if u wanna talk about plot holes. Its a real feat to have about as many plot holes in 1 episode as the 3 part series 4 finale had. And Vitory's had MUCh bigger plot holes too

  • @227060 what plot holes did VOTD have? I didn't notice any. A lot of people claim to have noticed plot holes in series 5 but I never saw any.

  • @MasterPlaythrough Well the crack was a hole if u get me. But seriously...it was confusing, even 4 me and I watch them closly BUT unlike ppl looking 4 mistakes I'm willing 2 give em a pass and I was confused. well I haven't seen the ep in a while but I recall the idea that the Daleks wre IMPURE as being a plot hole, where did they get the progenator. how did the planes get fized up so fast. among other plot holes, the ep itself was, it has 2 b said, the weakest of S5, entertaining but flawed

  • @227060 good points : ) Um, well, an explanation to why the planes got fixed up so fast might be that he already fixed them up in the past. And there was only 3 planes so.... it wouldn't take long. The progenator came with the ship they were in most likely and the impure bit, well, i thought they said inferior. I only know all this cos I was stuck in America at the time while it first was broadcasted on TV because of that volcano last year so I watch the episodes on my Ipod XD

  • @MasterPlaythrough no if they were fixed up b4, then the idea didn't need suggesting (it was a cool sequence tho). Plus fixing up one plane with adv alien tech, during an air raid, wud take hours at least. I'm sure they said pure (which if orig Daleks r Kaled mutants and Davros is a Kaled, doesn't make sense), and if the Prog was there in Journey's End, why wasn't it used if the Daleks r differ? seeing it on ur Ipod probly explains why ur keener on the ep, differ mediums give differ impressions

  • This is the story of Journey's End. Ppl love it initially, the newspapers give it generally favourable reviews. Then the fans criticise i from nitpicking to larger issues. It would get worse over time before things mellow out and ppl appreciate it without the hype and realise it was overall pretty good, and u can't knock the ambition. This is a process hastened by Victory of the Daleks.

  • Sorry but I've read all the criticism and all the problems that are apparently in this ep. But each time I watch it they all just disappear and I enjoy it so....yeah I don't care anymore. If I watch something and I enjoy it while I'm watching it and even in hindsight then who cares. Personally I think its the most epic of Dr Who eps, biggest Dalek plan EVER and best finale of the series.

  • If the Devil had a voice and face, it would be DAVROS

  • @MarkyVanHelsing Well it should b as it happens the Devil sounds like Gabriel Woolf. or he did until the Doctor kicked his ass. Thats something ppl always underwrite. The Doctor, actually the Tenth Doctor, BEAT the DEVIL. Nevermind the Daleks he sent the devil himself packing. What hero can claim to that

  • Davros should of said the atoms will become electrons then neutrons then protons THEN NOTHING

  • Why does Davros remind me of Darth Sidious?

  • God, this trailer gives me such chills.

This, Stolen Earth and Turn Left was the best finale ever for a Doctor Who series. Davros was phenomenal.

  • @MrDCWood What about The End of Time?

  • @badcompanyization

I really enjoyed The End of Time but the Series 4 three-parter remains my favourite

  • @MrDCWood Mine too though I think I prefer the Master as a villain. I think they r both equally big bcos End of Time is about just the Doctor and is a more personal finale while Journey's End is about the series and chaarcters as a whole. Its a crossover and I think it seems bigger bcos it had 3 parts AND featured ALL the characters even though technically the Time Lords were gonna end time which was worse

  • @227060 Agree with the comments. It was what fans had dreamed about. The Tenth Doctor, Donna, Rose, Martha, Captain Jack, Sarah Jane, Mickey, Jackie and crossing over with Torchwood and Sarah Jane Adventures. Against the Daleks no less and featuring the return of Davros after twenty years. The whole thing was such rollercoaster, high-stakes drama that changed everything forever and it was pulled off so beautifully

  • @MrDCWood Ppl criticise it and 2 an extent I can see where they r coming from but I've seen it 5 times now and each time I sit down, I just forget about those things and enjoy myself, even the time I watched specifically 2 find those faults. Yes some characters do V>little, but its just nice 2 see them. The Five Doctors did the same thing after all

  • I think Julian Bleach is better his voice is show chilling. I love this trailer, Davros' voice over is great!

  • Julian Bleach - even better Davros than Michael Wisher?

  • @Razza1091

As Wisher himself once famously delivered.... "It is an interesting conjecture."

Julian was really awesome. Truly the best Davros since Michael.

  • haha my brothers been using my account what a bitch

  • Nice to see Davros again. Lets just hope they don't start adding him in EVERY dalek episode after that. Don't want to do that mistaker again now do we :P

  • Wth? Isn't that the Six Flags guy?

  • whoa

  • That was SUCH a good episode. This trailer always gives me goosebumps. :D

  • umm..Is that sarcasm?

  • No, not at all. I love the narration. I usually watch it by myself, really loud, when I feel like checking up on Doctor Who episodes. It's the neatest. :)

  • Davros, Donna, Supreme Dalek and Dalek Khan > The Doctor (in episode 13)(and everyone else in that ep for that matter). I hate Russell for doing what he did to Donna right at the end =[

  • It's spelt Caan :)

  • My mouse wheel just broke down... It's Dr. Who's fault! He's insane in the head lol

  • This Is On Tonight xD

    Looking Forward To It. (:

  • Really?

  • i heard the doctor had a failed regeneration

  • ok i really dont understand this monster who want to blow up the whole universe even when they are in it??

  • He's completely bonkers maybe?

  • Davros was outside of reality you idiot.

  • hey, please reply to this but how cum all the other episodes have been put on youtube, 1 through 11, while 12 hasnt been put on yet and it was aired like 5 days ago. whats the deal?! i live in canada and i rely on this stuff. i need answers!

  • Go to the youtube account:

    tennantntatetravel

    :)

  • I'm gonna spam that to prevent it's detection

  • rose stops the regeneration.... or something gose wrong he stays untill 1010

  • well tbh i would prefer he stayed till 2010 and didn't go back in time :P

Bt yeh, something stops the regenartion, my bet is on something to do with Jenny (his daughter), as she regenerated into herself so somehow the doctor might do that :/ who knows :o

  • was this the best trailer ever or what

  • David tennant is back 4 another season folks!

    It's all clear

  • lmao season you mean series a

  • Muah ha ha...I know what happens

  • Wonder what the new writer will be liike :/

  • ok so this mite b a spoilernot official tho,k david was pictred filming the xmas spesh in the metro ages agob4this drwho series aired, around march, filmd in gloster,up the road from me plus last week in drwho confidential,he was wearing a drk blue suit,difrent2 his brown usuall one had black hair with a black shirt on,so mabe the fact that he gat hit by a pure darlek made him in2 this dark lord davros was tlkin bout last week plus it wont make sence 4rose 2 die she already did,i recon its donna

  • Both of them die :/

  • Oh yeah and donna and rose dies .. not 100% about rose but its prob the end for her .. :'( even through she was the best companion ever!!

  • Hmm..I think its just heartbreaking ..and rather fustrating if they regenerated the doctor before he even got to tell rose he loved her...It wouldnt be the same as someone else telling her..But i heard something about the 1 second out of time that the cascade is does something to the regeneration..But i doubt david is leaving yet.. :] . he's just to perfect to get rid of :D

  • but there was a rumour last year that john simm would come back to be the 11th doctor

david tennant is still in it next year

  • yup, but he also said he'd definitely consider continuing as the Doctor if asked for 2010.

  • WOW

  • Here's an interesting thought. His "Daughter" Was forced to regenerate in an episode this season... She did not "Regenerate" Properly either. Aaaaaand! *Puts on his smarty specs* The future companion in the library that knows the Doctor's True name knows him by how he looks now. Aaaaaand... I do believe it will be Donna Dying as she had said in an interview early on that this was her one and only season, and she accidentally outted David as not coming back which he was surprised by this as false

  • I don't think his "daughter" actually regenerated. I think it was the. Glowy stuff from that ball.. that fixed her up

I think Donna still has the time beetle on her back. The regenerated doctor will be the next doctor but will only exist in a time bubble long enough to introduce him, before the whole time envelope collapses, leaving everybody alive except Rose, and the doctor restored to his pre-regeneration form.

Allowing Moffat to do as he wishes in series 5, whether or not DT returns or not.

  • David Tennant is confirmed to star until 2010.[8] However, during the second half of 2008, Tennant is committed to a Royal Shakespeare Company production of Hamlet. Following the conclusion of filming for the fourth series, the 2008 Christmas special was filmed,[9] and has finished production.[10] After the Christmas Special, four specials have been commissioned to air throughout 2009

  • Quoted from Wikipedia

  • Also from that episode, the Pirate planet itself could jump through space just like the Tardis. Planetary teleportation is what we saw in The Stolen Earth in wide scale use. Connection?

  • OK - done my homework now -

1-The "Dark Lord" Dalek Caan refers to as returning is the Master?

2-Regeneration energy arching over the doctor's severed hand splits him into 2 different David Tennant Doctor's?

3-From the Tom Baker series, "The Pirate Planet", a perfectly balanced collection of planets was held in a museum. The energies were harnessed to allow an Evil Queen to re-manifest in a younger projected incarnation. One of the planets was Calufrax. Calufrax minor is among the 27 this week

  • Wow.. i like your second point. Interesting idea.

  • Actually:

1- The "Dark Lord" is the Doctor; dalek Caan said that as soon as the Doctor had made it into the Medusa Cascade and found the planets. However, there is still possible room for the Master to come back because of that ring and the ghostly laugh at the end of The last of the Timelords.

2- definitely not, that would just be cheesy. However, David Tennant will actually be starring though 2009 so something will go wrong with the regeneration.

  • i thought maybe something to do with the hand as well.

  • I knew that.I think he will just have a different shade of brown for his hair. That was serious.I mean it.Rose came back they cant get rid of David!!

  • I really have nothing to contribute except....WHAT THE HELL?!?!?!?

    Oy.

    That was MEAN RTD!!!!

I don't know if I'll be able to sleep now.

  • 1. which companion will die?

    2. why regenerate now?

    3. did Harriet Jones die?

    4. what is the planetary engine for?

    5. "you are something new" Donna Noble is not human? parents not human? father mystery?

    6. what happened to Jane Smith in the car?

    7. everybody kept saying who's the boy to Luke, significant to next episode?

    8. what's this Astahgen key?

    9. Dalek Khan is clairvoyant now and saw all this come to pass?

    10. in 'the library' DT was positively identified by a lover in the future?

  • Thank you shall so out to all those whom placed any info concerning Doctor Who this year and every year since those, like me who lives in the USA, can't see the trailers and the episodes as it happens. Doctor Who is the best show in television history.

  • I agree! I'm in the US and love to be able to see them here as it happens..well close enough anyway. Best show...yeah definitely.

  • thanks for this, genius but also... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! but yeah, rocks! thank you thank you!

  • Thanks for posting this.....It's so quaint to think that the BBC has delusions of controlling web content in the USA.... LOL ....

Subvert the dominant paradigm - LONG LIVE THE INTERNET!!!!!

Seriously, though, it would be an amazing event if RTD actually managed to keep everyone guessing about DT staying as the Doctor when he intended to regenerate him in episode 12 to 13 all along... I mean fake footage shot and misleading leaks to the media with fake pictures of the X-mas special....LOL!!!!

  • The BBC indeed can't control The Net. I rejoice with you. I don't think on the second issue (Hiding the regeneration with diversion) would go over too well though. I know, I'd be pissed.

    BUT, it ain gh

  • dude how do u know that something wont happen. David tennant HIMSELF has confirmed many times that he is doing the xmas ep and specials next year. There has to be something special about the blast glancing him instead of hitting him full on.

  • Who's to say the up-coming specials are in chronological order subsequent to the end of this series? Need I remind everyone about what BSG just did with flashing back in Razor?

Although I think with the rumors floating around about the actor who played the Master hanging around the set for the filming of Journey's End it is more likely that we are about to see the Master re-manifest himself through an aborted regeneration by the Doctor..... They were in physical contact when the Master "died".

  • BTW - you are right, there is something special about the blow glancing him - it didn't instantly kill him and trigger a regeneration. Instead, we had Rose hold him and have some final words with the tenth Doctor before he regenerates. Imagine the holy hell RTD would have caught if Rose never got to even touch the DT's Doctor one more time.... It just allowed dramatic plot exposition instead of an instantaneous regen. like 6th to 7th Doctor.

  • (cont.) I could be wrong, but it would amazing to have DT's Doctor die just after finding Rose.

  • U say amazing I say DEATH TO RTD and to think at the start i wanted to hug him for having Gareth david lloyd (ianto). You could be right about the specials not being in chronoligical order and the specials being a refelection of something thats happened but really think, what has happened in the 10th doctor's time that really warrents however many specials they are gonna have? Nothing too important really

  • Another Cyberman encounter, at least, and more possible multiple-Doctor stories, including one with an 11th, future-self? I know I've heard about the "other Doctor" trailer in the set of this year's x-mas special..... just some theories here. I do stand by the fact that given both the Ood's warning of DT's Dcotor's song ending soon and how mu RTD HATES spoilers and how Moffatt mocked them openly in Silence/Forrest episodes this year it wouldn't surprise me if they tried to pull this off.

  • Good points. I never thought of that. Although the Christmas special would kind of debunk that since he was there those other christmases.

  • Again, time travel .... I believe this years x-mas special is set in the 1800's. just because we can account for 2005's, 2006's and 2007's in the this Doctor's life doesn't mean sometime between meeting Donna and meeting Martha or the Titanic and reuniting with Donna he didn't have a 1800's X-mas in there somewhere. We have no idea how much time elapsed in his life during those particular gaps.

  • Goodpoints, but we would have heard about a new Doctor and I already know that he will be around for awhile so I just know, but we'll all know next Saturday because it will be obvious then.

  • Slightly off topic, but maybe you can give me your thoughts on this - The Doctor alludes to the last time has saw someone move the Earth across space and time - 6th Doctor - Trial of a Time Lord...not a bright period in Doctor Who history, I know. By The Doctor CLEARLY referenced it and wondered if the same technology/people were involved this time. The same people were Time Lords in particular his future evil self. Why did RTD allude to that now?

  • Could he possibly have this bizarre quasi-regeneration be the birth of the Doctor's evil alter ego and maintain Tennant as the Doctor proper? Might sound weird, but I stand by this prediction, some new (or possibly old) character is coming out of this regeneration/aborted regeneration next weekend. I'm pretty sure it's the Master since I have heard rumors that someone else other than Davros and the Daleks are the real bud guy this season. But that moving the Earth reference makes me wonder...

  • I can't remember. I'd have to go back and look at those old episodes again. I thought maybe he was refering to Davros but I don't recall the Daleks ever trying to move the Earth. I vaguely recall something in the new series about that but can't quite place it.

  • Let me know if you figure it out because I don't want to be bracing for a plot twist that isn't there.....and it will only strengthen the odds that John Simm is back next week.

  • But....but....but... David Tennant is scheduled to play the Doctor in the four specials in 2009! .....It's true that he isn't confirmed for series five in 2010, though... No! David Tennant is my favorite Doctor! They can't regenerate him yet!

  • WOW!! How exciting

And handy that you got your act together while the BBC struggled to even load the trailer onto the internet

    Thanks

  • Indeed. The iPlayer once again thwarted by Youtube!

  • Thank you , I still cannot se it on my computer on the bbc so me and my lovely children were really chuffed to see it on here. Looks good , I really hope the rumour that he will regenerate back into David Tennant are true!

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS! I know the BBC put it out way late, so thanks for getting this up so fast. :)

  • No proplem we like to help all doctor who fans out there that is why we made this account
