this is good .will be good .can be good,it is good great song well played ,love joy, love nin ,ding dong they keep calling me they keep calling me they keep on calling me calling me calling me calling me they keep calling me ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,when will we listan
Every other cover of Joy Division I have heard (with the possible exception of Shadowplay by the Killers) has been crap. Only when the artist in question takes the song and makes it their OWN does the song sound good. This is a great cover because it slows down the original, is less angry and more depressed than the original, and that guitar combined with Trent's voice adds up to a whole lot of awesome. Other artists copy Joy Division; NIN adapted, and that is what makes this cover great.
@JessicaVaught The message I replied to mentioned both Dead Souls (NIN cover of Joy Division) and Burn (The Cure). I was talking about Burn......... study up on your common sense, retard.
Saw these at Leeds the same weekend, wish they would've played this! Still got a great set there though. Saw them last month at the M.E.N Arena and that was some gig, probably the perfect setlist for an NIN concert

Yeah, I have nothing against NIN, I really don't. I remember really liking their first album when it came out and their videos are great. But I'm 38, and when I was growing up goth meant Joy Division, Siouxsie, Bauhaus, etc., and those bands really kick the ass of any of the new school stuff in my opinion. On a US tour, Bauhaus opened for NIN and although I know it's because NIN has a lot more commercial appeal, it seemed wrong to me, like if the Beatles opened for Oasis!
Joy Division und Ian werden in meinem Herzen immer Weiter leben!!Jetzt trennen sich auch noch New Order,,, man kann sich auf nichts mehr verlassen in dieser Welt,,,,
well...thats just what i like about the cover...a nine inch nails interpretation, and not playing it like joy division with trent reznors voice and a more theatralic ending
I am happy to admit that I was there and that I cried when they played this. I'd spent the entire day saying how much I wanted them to play this, and when they did, it was just too much. Unbelievable, one of the greatest moments of my life.

Aaron North! In real life he's like 3ft tall I shit you not.

@46lar If that's Aaron on guitar? Who's on bass, 'cause that's not Twiggy.
ComaAlpha 2 months ago
@ComaAlpha That's Jeordie White, also known as Twiggy Ramirez.
46lar 2 months ago
@46lar that was twiggy? Maybe I caught a glimps of Allesandro playing guitar instead of keys.
ComaAlpha 2 months ago
@46lar Yeah Mr Cortini also played guitar. Check out their rehearsal videos for the Lights In The Sky tour.

@edub77 It's a festival so I suspect there are some people in the crowd who stumbled in from other acts ;)

That sounds reasonable. They probably thought it was going to be a Tim McGraw concert or something....

@Vermin 80. Agreed! Burn is the shit, and this song basically makes the movie. Brandon Lee would of had as much success, if not more, than his dad.
