I am not Persian, I am a Norwegian-American born in South Dakota; but when I was very young I fell in love with Persian music. Anyone know who may have sung an earlier popular version of this in Iran (mabe in the 70's)? BTW, if you like this, you will love the CD "Moon Rise Over the Silk Road" by Ghazal. Great Performance Namaad. Nazeri and Shajarian may soon be listening to you!
