When I first put it on a flashed right back to the 80’s and Halston Z-14! However, the dry down improved it dramatically. Very masculine and mature; and fellow 40’s guys, this one attracts “daddy issues” so be on your guard!

Gucci Pour Homme is a favorite of mine, too. My girlfriend loves it on me and actually requests that I wear it. Haha! So, how long does the Pour Homme II last on your skin? I heard that it only lasts 1-3 hours? Great review Patrick! Keep it up! 5 starred!

This scent smells very different than others. It has a very masculine odor, but not overwhelming. I have tried it on my skin and it smells very nice. I sprayed something on my skin and went on shopping. Unfortunately I had to realize that the scent was gong after 10 minutes! I might consider not buying this scent for that reason....

i bought the new gucci by gucci a few weeks ago and i hafto say it was a mojor dissapointment there is no depth to it and after 20-30 minutes the smell is almost non existant as it fades so easily.

Lol, Tommy Bahama makes me want to vomit. I dont think this smells anything like it. I tell you I am super pissed though. I loved the smell of this stuff on paper but I didnt think to try it on myself before buying it. Stuff smells great on me but lasts about ten minutes and then I cant smell it anymore... Same w/ YSL L'Homme. I would say that I may have been ripped off, but I bought both frags from Macy's. FU*kin' pissed I tell ya!! Anyone have similar experiences?

The Gucci Pour Homme favors Tommy Bahama not the new Gucci by Gucci. And no the new Gucci doesn't last. It is a fast fade.

I think this Gucci smells a lot like the original Tommy Bahama for men in the brown bottle, but more "mintier"....even though there's no mint in either of them.

my favorite Gucci fragrance would have to be Pour Homme II. that one is also my favorite one ever. it's great for all seasons, really sensual and just great smelling, in my opinion. good review!

Thanks for this review. I saw Gucci by Gucci advertised in a magazine and tested it at a Duty-Free in Amsterdam. It smelled classy to me, something that women would say; "Hey, I like that," but I'm not a big connoisseur of fragrances, so I appreciate your review. I only bought a .16 oz sample on Ebay to check it out. I may try the other one you mentioned.

Sorry, only gave you 3 stars. You have a good voice, great flow and the cam view actually works. But, it's WAY to short! I would like to know more... This includes all your fragrance reviews.

Suggestion: Why not make videos explaining the basics in fragrance? Like, what do you mean by winter use? You could refer to these "dummies" videos at the beginning of every review.

BTW; Have your heard of Samba for men? If so, what do you think of it, and what category would you lace it in?

Well, it was friday and I MAY have consumed some alcohol... By "dummies", I ment a video/videos explaining the basics in fragrance for us who don't know that much of the terminology used. Much like those "for dummies" books. I think a video (videos) like this would be a hit. Yesterday, I went to buy some EDT (been a while), and the only thing I could say was that I didn't want it to have too much citrus (still, I know what I like). Went home with a bunch of paper samples...

thanks for the review. I haven't tried gucci pour homme. I do however have and wear gucci pour homme II and i like it. What do you think of it? And i definetly need to try the original pour homme.
