Hey, I'm relatively new to PC gaming and I was looking for some recent and good FPS games

My computer is good so don't worry about graphics problems, I'm just stuck on what sort of thing to buy.

I'd rather people didn't go "BUY EVERY FUCKING COD GAME THERE IS!" because I'm looking for more intense game play than that.

I would really appreciate some help. Thanks :)

@Boy4Hell64 Well I don't know about Recent FPS games but I like Half-Life 2,Skyrim,Team fortress 2 is free to play...The S.T.A.L.K.E.R games are nice and intense,any Serious sam game is great fun...This game Metro game!Oh,and Deux Ex and Red Orchestra 2 is great games...And have Steam..But I think you have that by now!=D

@Boy4Hell64 If there is one game I would recommend, it's definetly Battlefield 3, but it is quite buggy, and it gets boring after some time, and you need a decent internet connection (and patience), I would recommend Amnesia and Penumbra if you like horror games, fallout new vegas (rpg) and The Darkness 2 (splatter, action, horror) hope it helped :)

@Poulie0001 Fallout has alot of things happening around you and so Fallout beats Metro with quantity and Fallout has a large world. But if you ask me I say FUCk Fallout, my opinion, Fallout makes me bored most of the time. Metro has a storyline that is like no other and some elements that make sense, you use expensive bullets for money not rusty caps. Characters are also very mysterious that makes you curious to want to know about them especially that monk guy. Go play the game its worth it.

Maxing out settings does not make too much a difference in metro anyway.

One new filter lasts for about 15 minutes or so. A filter looks like a small, flat, grey cylinder. If you're on PC, hold T to see how much time you have left with your current filter
