  • He had to time that leap into the living room perfectly so he wouldn't kick the children!

  • It was just a shame that George Reeves ended up taking his own life.

  • I didn't even know there was a Superman episode. =)

  • Superman is so handsome!!

  • I love lucy even though.im only 15

  • The actress that played Caroline Appleby i think is the oldest last living I Love Lucy actor. Little Ricky is still alive i think he's about 60.

  • The ledge is different in this episode than in Lucy Cries Wolf i wonder if they moved again when Little Ricky grew up

  • 0:34 Lucy's so pretty

  • That is a GREAT leap....

  • "And they call me Superman" - That was one of my favorite lines in the shows history.

  • I always wondered how Reeves was able to jump through that window feet first and not fall on his ass, I guess he really was Superman lol

  • @TheSurfinbird21 he swung on monkey bars in the kitchen

  • The fact that 2 terrific legendary 50's shows & characters (Superman & Lucy) were able to merge onto one show for a classic episode is a credit to the creative minds behind these 2 shows. I think Lucy & George Reeves -- former movie stars -- may have known each other in the past & they both may have nudged those writers & producers to insure this happened for the kids. Little Ricky is my age & I know he must have been a big fan of Superman in real life & Lucy & Desi worked their magic.

  • I use to watch this show re-runs on nick @ nite in the 90s when I was a little kid.Check out music group 7/27 on ktrb90.Love this show

  • @ 0:17 Desi Arnaz pointing at George Reeves and looking at the audience saying "How about that"

  • 2 icons together. . . Lucy and Superman.

  • Ya know, the color suit didn't look so bad in black and white.

  • I dig Fred's lid.

  • Happy 100th birthday Lucille ball I love your show

  • good heavens...what a surprise to see that !!!

  • Happy 60th Anniversary, I Love Lucy!

  • lol i love how fread gets just as excited at the kids lol so cute

  • months later superman died 1957...

  • @muaythai4ko It was actually 1959 not 1957 that actor George Reeves passed away just to set the record straight.

  • @mythid12 Old people would know that...

  • Those are nice doves (pidgeons) at 00:38.

Lucy looks good in a helmet too! :))

  • iolove this show ilove lucy isonerof mine alltiem favorites its wasa whole osme show

  • best episode EVER!

  • @helenadagreat I AGREE...!

  • Doris Singleton -who played Caroline Appleby- is still alive at 91.

  • @ 0:18 Desi Arnaz points to the audience and looks at the studio audience and says "How about that!"

  • Superman: You mean to tell me you've been married for 15 years?

    Ricky Ricardo: Yea 15 years!!

Superman: And they call me Superman!

  • Aww, classic indeed. <3

  • hey how could Rickey like Lucy

  • @TheDsi11 I think before they were married Lucy was a little less crazy.

  • Happy Birthday Lucy!!!!!

  • Happy 100th Lucille Ball!

  • @tommym4070 That's RIGHT! 1911! Happy Birthday Lucy, and you STILL have some 'splainin' to do!

  • One of my favorites was when Lucy was arrested for passing counterfeit bills in Paris...and the cops had to form a line to communicate with her. One cop spoke French. One spoke French and German. A wino in a cell spoke German and Spanish. Ricky spoke Spanish and English....down to Lucy.

  • @brnleague99 Mine was the Bon Voyage episode when Lucy had to board the boat via helicopter a harness in front of a live audience.

  • Classic!

  • You have to remember...how Lucy was portrayed in that show was completely opposite in real life. Lucy made almost all the decisions in their marriage.

  • Happy Birthday Lucille Ball

  • Happy Birthday

  • Happy Birthday Lucy

  • HAPPY 100TH BDAY LUCILLE BALL!

  • Happy Birthday Lucy!! I love you, LOVE YOU, <3 U LUCY!!! (If I were a star, I'd want to be exactly like you lll EXACTLY) xoxoxo!!!

  • are you saying youve been married to her for 15 years yes 15 years and they call me superman

  • markoguitaro@yahoo.com

  • I looove George Reeves!!!

  • And they call me superman, lolololol..

  • George reeves was awesome as superman but its sad that he died.

  • the point is superman means if you have been married to lucy for 15 years your the real superman

  • LUCY WHAT ARE YOU DOING OUT THERE?! LMBO

  • And they call me SUPERMAN

  • @brianwells456comcast can you give out both full names as of who you are talking about.. thanks you.. just made me curious.. what are their first names, thanks.

  • good old Superman; how i miss George Reeves, who seemed like a real nice guy--RIP, buddy

  • Genius!

  • A few years ago, I met the actor who played Little Ricky. He told me that George Reeves REALLY was Superman.

  • So handsome!!

  • She's out on the ledge. . . OUT ON THE LEDGE! lmfao, the reaction time it took for that gag was absolutely perfect and there's no words need said for comedic timing.

  • I want to see the making of The Adventures of Superman 1951-58

  • The best I Love Lucy ever. George Reeves WAS Superman.

  • @LittleDragon2000 I don't think it was the best.My favorite Lucy is her putty nose with William Holden. There were many good ones.Desi and Lucy-great team.

  • @TheDorr71 There were many great ones. This is my fave because Superman really does save the day!

  • Classic.

  • I love the way Ricky and Ethel look when Superman moves the piano, but the expression on Lucy's face at the end always cracks me up!

  • Probably my all time favorite Lucy episode. But they cut out the part where the woman is seeing the apartment next door and is all hysterical when Lucy as Superman shows up at the window and her husband says

    "Was it a bird?"

    "NO!"

"Was it a plane?" "NO!" "What was it?" "It was Superman!"

  • @jennifersman That woman was Madge Blake who played Larry Mondello's mother on "Leave It To Beaver" & "Aunt Harriett" on "Batman".

  • I love this episode.

When Ricky tried he failed to move the piano

When his kid tell about superman to move the piano with no trouble

When he at superman he thought in his mind

"WTF how he move that may bee really be superman?"

  • @supermant25 Ricky's expression is priceless here

  • "And they call Me Superman". Very funny!
