Couple years ago, I went up against an 03 Mustang Cobra 60-120.. Me and the guy met up before the race and talked a bit. He told me he had a shorty supercharger pulley, magnaflows and airintake done to his Cobra. My C6 was completely stock at the time.
From 60-120 against my C6 he was inching forward pretty slowly, but still had me beat by about half a car length. We tried it again a second time and still the same story. The third time he grinded his gears while shifting, victory was goodlol

actually the cobra 03-04 at least was known as the best muscle car and as clos as it can get to the real old muscle.....now i like vettes, but they're not muscle cars, they are sports cars, pure 2 seater sports car

I am a fan of both car, but you're hating fords is just plain retarded.....you know that the mustang i still going strong while every chevy muscle car is out.....vettes like i said, not muscle cars and are expensive for everyone to have. You compare a pure muscle car to a 5.7 L vette that weights alot less then the cobra. both cars are great. end of discussion !

you hit the nail right on the hammer. anyone with any american automotive history knowledge will tell you that in the 60's muscle cars were camaro, mustang, challenger, charger, GTO etc. they were cheap fast 2 door 4 seater and lacked in comfort and features. this is where corvette stood out from them cuz it had better looks and features and more power. i can see why its mistaken though cuz of that signature v-8 muscle car exhaust sound thats why.

thats ok, there are plenty of vids out there where mustangs blow the doors off camaros, corvettes, vipers. I would hope that vette would beat the ford, for 30 grand more it better! but then you take the $30000 cobra, spend 2 grand on a pulley swap, exhaust, intake, and reprogram and you get to romp all over bowties...the 03 cobra is a fantastic carwith soooooo much potential...

of course it "takes" a blower...the GM cars are running 70 more cubic inches. you talk about a blower like its a bandaid, shit... europeans have been builing small displacement motors based around turbos and romping all over domestic cars for YEARS. point is any car is only as fast as your wallet, but regardless the cobra is a better car than the old camaro/firebirds. obviously the vette is "nicer" but its also 30 grand more!
