I thought MTV stood for Reality Television, not Music Television!! I may invent a music channel that plays music only. Unfortuantely you'd have to play everything like hip hop and rap in order to get ratings. But it would be an even balance.
There's a lot of great hip hop out there that has influence punk...and vice versa. Hip hop (in certain forms) is another branch of punk, in my opinion. A lot of the same ideas and attitudes, just expressed differently.
He's the front man, co-founder, primary song writer, and the only constant member of one of the greatest, smartest, and most influential punk bands in history. He's a solo artist too. And he has a Masters. Oh, & a PhD. And teaches at UC Berkley. Also, he's a published author & scientist. He plays piano AND guitar. He's a punk rock legend. OK. Pistols, Ramones., Clash...well, dirt, shit & water can grow flowers but we don't call them pretty do we? They ain't got nuttin on the punk rock professor.
MU-I-TO LO-KO!!!!
This is one of the most amazing songs i've ever heard... there's something about it that just speaks to me... i really just can't wait for this day to come... when we won't have anything to worry about anymore
But do you really think this day will come? I thought about these topics so often and concluded that this song is unfortunately about an utopia. Not possible. Human weakness.
iv heard this song b4 but never did i think about the meaning, after seeing this i truly believe wat it means and just hearing it sent chills up my spine (thats how u know your listening to a good song) simply incredible...
personally, i think this song sounds so much better acoustic than it does regularly, it just seems to give it so much more feeling... bad religion is the shit!!!
wow, this song is amazing acoustic... reminds me of mike ness from social d... they'r the two pioneering punk bands that have kept true to their roots.. and acousticly are both awesome.. thanx for the vid

Hahahaha. I just imagined something that would be awesome. Imagine there being a harmonica in this as well. It'd be kinda folk punk. Awesome shit.
Either way, great song.

mike ness and greg gaffin are the only punk poets in mankind
Uriar13 2 years ago 3
I don't think you can forget Brett Gurewitz. He wrote a lot of BR's lyrics. But I can't argue with the fact that they are definitely punk poets.
