I actually think Brandon is trying here, but the recording is bad, so it makes his voice sound like someone's stepping on his nuts. like come on, it's Brandon, he always tries, and he doesn't even half to, he's truly the best singer I've ever heard.

This was obviously done a radio show and that explains the song. Remember that a lot of radio stations have mics that aren't necessarily made for dynamic voice which is the type of mics that people who sing usually use.

I'm not hating and I love Incubus' old stuff. I'm merely stating that this rendition is a poor one. And my comment above highlights the poorer points. People can be so blinded by their love for a band that they can't see a good performance from a bad one. I can.

I think this is an early version of the song rather than

an acoustic rendition of the version we all know and love.

Probably a home demo to take into the studio and improve.
