  • The WCVB Movie graphics began during the Metromedia era (1982-86) and lasted into the early 2000s at least.

  • wow you recorded all these? i wish i had a vcr back then

  • I wish the same thing. While I am caught up now as far as tech goes, we didn't even have a VCR until about 1991, same year I got a Nintendo NES for Christmas.

  • The a rare Metromedia Boston ID...nice!

  • I'm gonna have to recheck, but I think the Metromedia card is the oddball in this clip, and off of one of my 1982 tapes.

  • It's not a full fledge card, but the bottom of the That's Entertainment tag is says "Metromedia Boston."

  • Right- that's what we are both referring to..

  • Do you have any audio/video of the Channel 5 station i.d. with George Fennell as the booth announcer (WHDH and/or WCVB) and/or with Nancy Vallone announcing (WCVB), or of "Five All Night" with either Vallone or Matt Siegel hosting?

  • @gymnastix - What I do have of WHDH-5 is up now; I don't know the name of the VO announcer. The only female voice for WCVB that I have is Eileen Prose. I don't have any 5-All Night..
