  • Hello, I'm looking into buying a Honda Fit. Don't know what to choose between A/T or M/T. What are your thoughts?

  • @nisornt Pros: 1/ Mechanical simplicity compared to AT. Arguably a manual transmission is less likely to break. 2/ When I bought my car it was about $1,000 cheaper 3/ Fun to drive. You have more control and feel connected to the car. Cons 1/ Selling it can be more difficult as less and less people know how to drive manual 2/ Could be annoying in a stop and go traffic 3/ Difficult to talk on the phone and drive (not really a con IMO but for some people...) 4/ final gear ratio. ~3500rpm@70mph
  • @cassini83 I just learned how to rev match with this car, get the manual! So much fun.

  • @nisornt As much as I like hondas, I've been burned by their automatic transmissions before. Go to autobeef and you'll see some of the worst cars are auto hondas.

I'd get the manual for sure.

  • this is the regular honda fit right? not the sport kind

  • @B023D Yes, it's the base model.

  • Great car, especially for the city. I love my '08 Fit but I'm moving on to something with a more comfortable suspension.

  • lol your shifting reminds me of a magician doing a card trick with the hand wave gestures...

  • Sweet then you back into your garage! Nice finish!

  • *holds gun up to your head* Teach me!.....teach me now!......you're great at standard and I need to know because I'm getting a Fit too!!......TEACH ME!! RAWR

  • Has it been really good to you and reliable? Is is smooth on the road?

  • @eiggerris The reliability has been great so far. I've had it for a year and a half with no issues whatsoever. As far as the smoothness goes... I used to drive a G6 and the Fit's suspension is a lot harder. That makes the car very responsive but you also feel every bump on the road.

  • Is this car good on gas?

  • @jolg14 Better than the official estimate. I'm getting 35-40 mpg in mostly city driving.
