  • I really want a Nokia WP7!

This is the video I've been searching for, most videos miss out this crucial stuff!

  • no one needs ur phone numbers u is messin up the vid dam

  • I actually hope they DON"T change that @3:40 as that is the biggest annouance on my 6.5 phone. 99% of the time I have the dialpad open, it is not for a contact! Soo aggrivating when the phone takes the dialpad away while dialling and gives me the search results... That ironically may be my only complaint on 6.5, can't wait for my 7!

  • I like wp7, you like iPhone or android. who cares. in the end, I use my phone and you use yours.

  • Check out my windows phone in action.

  • deny all you want, android still steals iOS' UI, but still fails at sleekness, smoothness and cool looking factor

  • @SpadeAce90 I know, that's why Windows Phone 7 and iOS is better than Android in terms of user experience.

  • Perfect for users who want a simple, clean interface, thats easy to use and gives quick access to the main functions. But it must be really unappealing to users who use their phone for things beside calling , surfing and texting...

  • dude u could dial as private....

  • He calling Justin Bieber ..

  • it reminds me of flipbook from the ipad, and also i see they just shrunk the zune app in a phone, i was expecting more from multimillion dollard company with 3,000 engineers, but well i gues the world is in crysis

  • Ugly. Those tiles seem so dated and plain. This is the best that they can do. Are you joking me man.

  • Windows phone 7 rocks.. I hope the hardware would match the software and I hope that apps would be succesful.. and if it is.. This would be the best mobile OS platform right now

  • This looks good but, I like the tab interface on android (in my case galaxy s so touchwiz UI) better than the little buttons at the bottom... They seem more simple and clean rather than having useless features that make you take more time when you just need to call someone.

  • @corpixcorpredtorro not really, you just put the most common stuff on your screen. if you use the phone a lot, then just go to the home screen and call. pretty obvious

  • half the shit is covered in black boxes this video is stupid

  • finally fml .. im using htc sense on wm6.5 and its O.K.

i jsut don't wanna switch to iphone or android

    i guess ill wait

  • Captivate pwns!! XD

  • windows 7 is faster then iphone or some androids !

  • Like i really want to switch to a droid phone but the windows phone 7 is looking promising but my contract doesn't end til may so we'll see.

  • android os still the best!!!

  • @kali004 Nope

  • iPhone is better.

  • I absolutely love the UI.

iOS's UI is pretty good too, but this is more simple.

  • the interface is wack.

  • Another cool Windows Phone 7 app video:

Deluxe Moon for Windows Phone 7

  • @nxnja well, i'd buy it without contract, so i had to pay for internet exept WLAN and i dont think i'll use it just at home

  • It's expensive, all these internet features. can you turn them off?

  • @CrysisSB2 Internet on a smartphone is $15 or $25 a month, why would you buy a phone like this then turn off the features....?

  • he keeps saying windows phone 7, shouldn't it be windows 7 phone?

  • @creataphysics That's it's official name.

  • @creataphysics lmao no, it's called "Windows Phone 7"

  • @greeneyedmajik welll someone's a hateboy..

  • When I started seeing Windows Phone 7 videos and reviews earlier this year it prompted me to do one thing, the same thing I'm doing now... Hold off and see what the phone market is like when Windows Phone 7 hits the market.

  • Just wondering how u got a copy of win 7 already, and that phone

  • yeah, totally good idea to put those squares onto the video... you could just save the dialler's number like "Test" or something like that....

  • @greeneyedmajik Okay.

  • Jesus! I want to see it in other phone, LG dont know how to make phones. Why do you dont choose to create a fake contact instead of contact with black boxes, wich makes the experience useless...

  • microsoft thinks secret of ios success is animations...lol

  • omg... wtf? was it design for Orange? hahah WP7 EPIC FAIL.... lol

  • butt ugly. epic fail.

  • @peteyz

Jesus Christ how can you say that? This looks truly fresh and awesome?

  • why you always press buttons threetimes??? :-P

    UGLY

  • looks like the biggest rip off of an iPhone.

  • @CopperheadViper Thats gotta be the most idiotic thing I've heard.

Looking at this, its the EXACT opposite.

  • Is the interface and huge text designed for old and visually impaired people? This UI could get boring real fast.

  • at least one company who didn't steal their entire interface from the iOS.. looks good

  • @Olli120 Android did not steal their entire interface from the iOS. Lol band wagoner. Icons are icons. How many ways can you design a phone UI? Blackberry had Icons before the iPhone was even around so does that mean they copied icons? Please. Find another argument if you're a fanboy.

  • @RhinestoneRhino please read my comment again. where did i mention android? ah, btw i'm not a fanboy ;)

  • @RhinestoneRhino Agreed. Though I find the interface similar, that really doesn't matter. They have found an interface style which the user base likes most, and expanded on it.

  • @RhinestoneRhino "How many ways can you design a phone UI?"

Well Android is given away for free, so Google probably thinks they're free from any Patent issues. Microsoft, since they license WP7, had to 'design' around the logic of iPhone, and now they get to say, "look! innovation!"

'Pinning' my best friends just sounds clumsy. Have fun with this MS. Good luck with getting all those iPhone ports.

  • @Olli120 Uh Apple stole their interface from previous phone developers...

  • I noticed that several times you are pressing on icons on the screen with no response... or having to press several times to get a response.... typical windows interface.

  • @clouby22

Lol I own and ipod touch doing that all the time . . . typical apple interface.

  • @XKS99 Yeah i make calls with my ipod touch all the time to....usually while im doing other impossible things like riding the luck dragon into narnia

  • @brabba

Er I meant the tapping twice before it registers. Lol that was funny though.

  • dull interface!

  • @irfaanfr1 I'd say it's minimalistic interface

  • I really enjoy watching these WP7 videos. The new Windows OS brings a fresh new approach to the handheld device. Can't wait for its release!

  • You should blur the numbers out next time, be better than a black box, struggled to see what was going on with black boxes

  • Looks fantastic , I'm a wm6.1 user, I am definitely going to buy a new one. lol, i'm wondering about the battery life, how long can the battery last? any ideas?

  • These are by far the best reviews of any out there. Not just for WP7, but you do give it much more of an objective demo. Same for any reviews/demos I've seen. It's nice to have demos that aren't flooded with personal opinions. Subscribed.

  • You've been playing with the iPhone too much! Press the screen harder!!

I'm a WM6.5 user, and the lack of the quick dial function as you mentioned will be a deal breaker for me. Hope they have it upon release.

  • Much better from the older versions of windows mobile! The icons, the animations, the touch keyboard and generally many thing are like android... They get jealus! And copied them!!!

  • Kinda funny that the world is waking up !

Apple isnt the first to do eerything.

Look for better rendering and apps for windows 7 lik nova4phone

and also look for MS to sync up everything like contacts, calender, email, social network, xbox, skydrive, zune, everything MS has is to by syched up to the web - and THEN...

    Synced to a computer.

But - for MS to finally nail it in the business world, they need to add a good keyboard to it!

  • Yeah really thumbs up! I am still WM6.5 User and there are some downsides but in general Iam satisfied. Then I read about Phone 7 and thought man, how could they make it even worse???

But luckily someone actually tested the software and not just copied what other people were writing..BIG Thumbs up for Pocketnow!!

  • This already looks 100000% better than wm 6.5.This actually DOESNT look like a piece of garbage.

  • 2:46 i think becuase of the video cut that the phone froze...keep in mind its not a finished product

  • Thumb down for black squares in almost all of video

  • so far what ive seen looks awesome. my iphone is due for renewal in nov i gotta get this

  • My Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant does all that and more.. nothing new at all dissapointed with Windows. SMH "Personaly " I coulndt be able to look at those blocks all day in the user interface.

  • @complexgrafix guess you didnt hear the beginning... "THIS IS NOT FINAL SOFTWARE OR HARDWARE"

  • Looks good, I'm a bit of an iPhone fanboy but for me, THIS IS GOOD.

  • One BIG FLAW on the design part. MS, you totally forgot about the Zune. There are something called docks. What do docks need? Wait, first of all, are all the ports the same on all the WP7 phones? If they are, then good, as docks would just need to have a cable sticking out. If its not universal, that is a major blow, because companies like Samsung like to be in their own world for ports. It absolutely needs to have the same port as the Zune.

  • this is so incredibly simple! I never understood the whole concept of multitasking and all that but this phone will really allow me to do that. its just so user friendly

  • the ui and hardware doesn't fit

  • So if you want to call someone, you need to slide to the button, click phone handset icon, click on the middle lower on screen button and then type in phone number you are calling... WinMo Peeps definitely decided to make a device that is phone secondary but everything else primarily :)

  • I think Windows 7 will do just fine, BUT I am not sure of how friendly this interface will be to a broad market end user groups - that is something that really matters and what I have seen so far, I am not overly impressed but kind of liking it what they did with it...

  • Even though I'm a webOS user, I love pocketnow's specific videos of Windows Phone 7.

  • looks promising. me being an avid zune and xbox user helps also.

  • love the reviews and really starting to love windows phone 7

  • Those big orange tiles are so attractive. Gives one a feel for the good ole 70's and shag carpets.

  • Oh how I love the silly replies I get, for saying how MS is doing good, ppl can't handle it, it's too much for their Android/iOS soaked brains AHAHAH. I really iOS btw, but I never had an Android phone, so I'm impartial on that one.

  • @jagjagin I LOVE Android, and I'm going to stay to it as my daily driver OS.

But holy shit I want a WP7 device!

    I LOVE the Metro UI.

  • @TheAndroidFreak duh, they are popular

  • @jagjagin Well, I think @TheAndroidFreak is speaking about the usability in terms of what the OS can and cannot do. They don't just get "popular" out of nowhere. But anyway this phones UI looks like the Zune!

  • @SofaKingAwesome23 actually alot of ppl with Android just get it, becuz they have seen it on tv or others with it, so it can become popular out of nowhere. But I know what your talk about.

  • @jagjagin but why do those people buy it? they see the functions and capabilities it can do etc. so therefore it becomes popular because of what it can do and what they prefer. I mean, not too many people just wake up in the morning and go "hey i think ill buy an android phone today." Do you know what I mean?

  • That's an ugly UI, IMO.

  • @Gregz0r1 the phone is fuglier.

  • looks good!

  • Windows is kicking SO MUCH ASS!!!

  • @jagjagin well not androids...

  • @Porsche010 haha we see about that

  • @jagjagin Yes, by tweaking the OS registry, renaming it Windows 7 and charging full price, MS has definitely kicked the user's ass. Next, they name their new phone after a desktop/laptop OS and no one, including Mr. Microsoft doing a review here, says anything.

  • @RobynHode8 another troll deducting gibberish that he thinks is logical, smh just sad

  • @jagjagin Yes, and six posts on one page are normal. Let's go for 7! It will match Windows 7 phones. Or is it Windows Vista 2 phones? No, it's the Zune phone!

No, it's whatever MS says it is. We don't use the term MS fanboy here.

  • LOL nice how the keyboard looks like its just been ripped from Android

  • @arranmc182 nice how you try to compare this to Android

  • @jagjagin Im not saying that Windows Phone 7 is bad as it looks so good but the keyboard looks almost 100% like the stock Android keyboard

  • @arranmc182 but every vid i c of some1 usen the ui says the keboard ids better than android

  • thats a very polished UI... no lag at all. hmm maybe i wont go android juust yet

  • @calcioazzurri34 with what I'm seeing now with this videos, Windows Phone 7 can actually beat Android, I both have used, WinMo,Android and IOS,but this one is simply amazing. I think just wait and try which one you're more comfortable with.

  • Next year I am gonna buy a htc or samsung with wp7

  • Nice video, but why didn't you touch on voice dialing?

  • @Xoraxone

Ya, but Windows 7 software rocks

  • I'm a WM 6.5 user..and i was thinking of buying an android..but after seeing all these windows phone 7 stuff..i think i'll wait :)

  • @xiaopengyou13

Hey, if ya can tell me that how is it, if its good enough to use now and does it got video download app too, besides main thing is is it good enough to use, is it worth or I should go for some another OS

  • @xiaopengyou13 FYI droid does all of that but with droid you have the added benefit of a more established software and friends and stores with the phone to try out as opposed to being a guinea pig for their launch.

  • @xiaopengyou13 Go android. this doesn't have multitasking or even copy and paste!

  • @sean1256 It's not the final build.

  • This was a nice video and some wonderful features to look at.. I owuld love to see it a little bit more enriched with a little bit more features. other than that it looks great..

  • Thumbs down for balckboxing the number. You can just blur it!

  • SMOOTH

  • Seems like there are a lot of Android/Sense UI features in Windows 7 Mobile. Hopefully some of those features become standard on all future devices and systems.

  • care with telephone numbers , try to call with anonymous id when you're filming, people who're bored can still see your mobile phone number if they put the video in 720p.

  • Why are you talking about making phone calls on a smartphone? It's not like making calls is a big part of a phone.

    /sarcasm

  • would it been possible to blur out your number instead of black box them

  • will this work on cdma phones as well?

  • @mota411

    yeah buddy

  • wow windows phone 7 blows

  • HOLY CRAP!! can't wait to see the final product!!!

  • looks awesome!!!!

  • All I saw was black boxes hard to thumb that up :/

  • @farestabs He have to block the number with black box so that he will not receive spam calls from his subs lol

  • Very plain and dull interface wtf were they thinking?

  • @chicagojoe12

    It's minimalistic?

  • awesome job

  • @lidsman2221 you are totally right , they must improve the interface and nothing else

  • the screen is freezing sometimes?о_О

  • can you not use a black box to hide ur privacy? blur it out? the black box is rather annoying

  • Does it have a proximity sensor as the Win 6.5 in HD2? or is it something that's handset related? Because when I make or receive a call, I want the phone set to turn off the screen as the default action and allow me the option to turn it on if I want to navigate or use the phone's other features while on a call. That way I won't accidentally tap on random keys with my cheek.

  • @nuvamusic I believe it can tell by the size of the object touching the screen that it would be not a finger, but that would be a pretty good addittion.

  • @nuvamusic Proximity sensors are part of the Windows Phone 7 minimum specs.

  • who checks their email while talking to someone over the phone? someone who doesn't care that is.

  • @YOUCANNOTDENY It's just to show one aspect of the multitasking functionality when using the phone7.

  • What about phone sound profiles? I hate my windows 6.5 phone for this... for example Ringtone+Vibra profile is soooooo bad. Vibration in this profile is constant. I have no idea what they were thinking. They give you settings to changing vibrations to some fancy shit but only when you use "vibra" profile not when "ringtone+vibra" god i so hate that guy who came up whit this

  • I'm sorry to say that, but Windows mobile in general is completely Hopeless, I'm using it since 2001 (from Windows CE all the way to windows 6.5.5 )...I like how flexible it is, yet it's still Lagging !..no matter what they do

  • WP7 just keeps fascinating me more and more!

  • no handy windows phone taskbar?...FAIL

  • @taltigolt The start button IS the taskbar - in essence - it just isn't a physical bar, even though it does essetially the same function.

Do you really think adding a big, blocky, ugly taskbar would look good in any respect?

  • @Abington586 Panther

  • @bluefisch200 what?

  • @Abington586 It's the LG Panther

  • what is the name of that lg phone you are using ?

  • Do the menus have the 3D tilting effect like they do on the Zune HD?

  • I love this, MS does not forget that a smartphone is a phone, this function is very well implemented...

  • @bluefisch200 Exactly.. Unlike iPhone, this thing actually makes calls.. And does it well!

  • I'm actually excited for W7 phones to come out, the OS is looking very promising!!!

  • niiicee !!

  • Just wondering, what are the specs for that LG phone?

  • @albel65 type lg panther on pdadb.net

its site that covers specs of every smartphone on the earth

  • @MacQ2309 Awesome, thanks!

  • When did win7 came out on mobile phones?

  • Brandon is the best! you should create a new youtube account and carve out a career! Really, those other goes just annoy because of their incompetence!

  • @susukek They have 2 other reviewer that are very nice, Geoffrey Farinha and Jaime Rivera are as good as Brandon...i even like the first one better then Brandon...

  • @bluefisch200 actually I know that Pocketnow does have couple of good reviewers.. but unfortunately the bad guys are burning into many viewers memory ---> they're not subscribing!

  • I don't know if ill be a sub after these videos stop haha

  • You are basically the only reviewer who is giving Windows Phone 7 the attention it deserves. Keep up the great work!
