Yes China has hurt and is still hurting Germany... By just being living well. Just like siding with Dalai and Rebiya, this is but another piece of evidence showing that Germany has lost its pride and self-confidence... In 1989, this reminded me so much of the comment in CS Lewis's *The Last Battle* regarding Narnia: "I saw it born; I did not think I would live to see it die." I was just old enough to remember the dramatic shot of the soldier jumping the barbed wire fence and the beginnings of the wall the next day. I did not think I would live to see it demolished. Still, a cautionary lesson re China and other oppressive regimes like Iran: none of us are free until all of us are free.
