Ive passed this song on expert at like 94% with the standard controller. Ive also passed Revolution Deathsquad on hard at 97%. Ive became quite good at the controller.
I feel like this might be easier on controller than guitar. I've never played with the controller, but parts like 3:17 seem to require a lot of fret hand movement and precision, whereas on controller it's nothing unusual. And there aren't any fast strumming parts in this song either, unless the three blue notes after the part im talking about are difficult. What do you think?
It's really hard to compare guitar to controller, but I would say in general solos that are really weird, like the one you are referring to is harder on the guitar.. Another example is GH:A Train Kept a Rollin, I believe it's called car solo or something. It's really hard on the guitar with its random strums but fairly easy on the controller. In this case though also for controller I would say the blue strumming part at 3:18 is the hardest but it's not too hard if you focus on just that part.
I also have to add that the ho/po parts for the controller where it starts on for example blue and pulls off to yellow is easily chokeable on controller as if you hit it off it'll count as an overstrum while on a guitar you can just hold it down. But again it is really hard to compare them to each other but I'll have to agree on the part at 3:17 being easier with a controller.
Yeah pretty much this and Number of the Beast were the only songs I had motivation to play (only songs besides One and Raining Blood I didn't FC in my guitar & controller career. With my -1 on NotB later I passed 14,2 million. I also choked after the solo (which I didn't finish because it was in the chords so it wouldn't be a good score) =/
