As an actor playing a role, she is required to portray her character in personality, behavior, and image. If she can't accept those terms, for whatever reason, she should not hold that position. Just the same, I don't feel that it would be an acceptable action for me to display my Christian accessories while playing a role. As an actor playing a role, she is required to portray her character in personality, behavior, and image. If she can't accept those terms, for whatever reason, she should not hold that position. Just the same, I don't feel that it would be an acceptable action for me to display my Christian accessories while playing a role. While Muslims are constantly ridiculed for their beliefs by the western world, this is not case with this young woman.

This woman is just fucking stupid.
She has worked there for a couple of years and is well aware of the requirements of her job, yet she willfully violated the dress code.
Disney tried to accommodate her by allowing her to work in another position but she refused and went home. Sounds like grounds for dismissal.
When she is terminated for willful misconduct she won't be eligible for unemployment and that is tough shit.

I think those favouring Disney should be very ashamed, personally. The headscarf, or hijab, is something that is part of her religion, part of her. Disney should accommodate, and she should be free to wear whatever she likes (within limits - obviously, nothing offensive, for example), without fear of losing her current job. It's very wrong and unfair.

Its a matter of safety on some jobs example a factory with machinery and moving parts! Head gear like the burqa can get caught taking her neck off!!
