I'm not the 1st to think Siouxsie Sioux has had an influence on Karen. I hear some of Siouxsie's singing style in Karen (they're both great singers). Both S and K write lyrics filled with imagery and mystery (YYY's are a bit over heavy on obscurity of meaning or mere word play though).

Siouxsie and Karen both became fashion icons too.And

K's blackhair/red lipstick look is reminiscent of S.

I see on her mic it says "KOKO" which obviously is her initials X 2, but is that also her nickname? Also, a few years back their producer joked to the press they were coming out with a concept album about Karen's cat, to be called "Coco Beware", that she has a cat named Coco (or Koko?). Hmm.By coincidence I too have a "Coco" cat!

You're right about that, come to think of it.

At a SY show in Vanc.,BC a few years back, Thurston talked about watching an IMAX movie at Science World ("Bears")that day "with my little friend Coco, my daughter".He told a little anecdote about getting into the theatre by a little trickery toward a naive employee.(Inspired by SY fans tricking their way into SY shows?). I think YYYs' guitar player is a SY protege.
