Watched his performance today (Sheffield) and there are no words to describe his talent. Even when he's injured, he seems to go on like there's no trouble et all. I wish him best of luck and fast recovery now that he's heading to his knee-operation. Can't wait to see him again on the ice. <3

@rthistory Lysacek made several mistakes in LP. He got -0,6 for his wrong flip instead of -2-3 (as rules demand). His programs were easier than Plushenko's ones. Stojko, Candeloro, Witt, Tarasova (Yagudin's coach), Petrenko supported Plush. There are many arguments pro and contra, but the majority is on the Plushenko's side.
There is nothing I hate more than stupid "patriotism". Only a brainwashed mind like the american and canadian "experts" can´ t see how graceful and elegant is this boy and what an amazing presence he has. Response to all who are shocked and appalled i don't like Plushenko: I think this is a subjective sport - I don't question he's a great skater - I don't like his style, and I don't think that there is anything particularly great about this program except that he's an unquestionably exceptional jumper. I don't really see any of the other skills I like to see in a program however.

Beyond remarkable talent, charmisa, and loyalty to his country, his sports, his family and friends. Totally agreed! He is just adorable and unique, I am so glad he is back. He gave us the highest level of artistic interpretation of the sport which I absolutely LOVE!

For me, however, his poor sportsmanship and bad attitude is such a turn off that it is hard for me to appreciate anything he does. So he wanted to win. They ALL wanted to win. Silver is not bad and to insult a compadre in your field because someone thought he did the job better is just sour grapes.

The bottom line is that this is a subjective sport - some people appreciate big jumps - others prefer the more subtle stuff. I happen to prefer Lysacek because I think he's a great skater and great skills - I liked Plushenko in 2006 but not this year. I favored Poetzsch and Witt over Fratianne and Sumners despite being an American. But I think Evan earned his gold and I'm sick of the belly-aching and bad sportsmanship that is depriving him of the well deserved right to enjoy his win.
@Chutson353 You are american, and celebrate your mediocre champion in USA, we celebrate the real winner all over the world. Evan is boring, he haven't charisma, and talent. He is a good skater, but not special. If the judges scored well, then Evan enjoy his 3. place, what he deserved.
@Chutson353 I really like the way Plushenko defended his love and effort for the sport. Olympics is about pushing limits, go big or go home. I've found the media in U.S. and much of Cananda/UK targeted Plushenko in a very negative way. They edited the part and made they looks negative. Which is not we wanted is to be manipulated by the media. I've found negative comments on Plushy, said he just rip off his medal...but instead on other countries media, and other win he kissed it
jzrnsk, his choreography and techniqe is good enough to beat such a mediocre skater as Lysacek. Just enjoy Plushenko' s art because he is a real genius of the figure skating.

such cleanliness and fluidity in his skating now, unlike his olympic performance, which deserved silver but not gold. weak choreography though, a lot of skating from jump to jump to be a show-off.
This video and the Vancouver Gala are my most favorite videos. Such a sensibility, power, energy, mastery of movements, true connection to music... Vancouver Gala vid always brings tears to my eyes!!!
Do we still have to mention this rivalry? For the record, Yagudin has said that Plushenko was his only real rival and that he's the strongest figure skater right now with no one to match him (despite the loss in Van). I'm sure Lyosha means that he's the only one who could match him but still! lol. It's nice to know that Leesh holds Zhenya in such high regard.

Response to all who are shocked and appalled i don't like Plushenko: I think this is a subjective sport - I don't question he's a great skater - I don't like his style, and I don't think that there is anything particularly great about this program except that he's an unquestionably exceptional jumper. I don't really see any of the other skills I like to see in a program however.

@Chutson353Evan's skating enchant you, you speechless.... I don't belive.... You know Evgeni's programs? Tribut to Nijinski 2004 LP, or Tango and flamenco 2004Sp or Gala program in Vancouver. His skating is not only jumps, ridiculous!

@Chutson353 Because he is the best. You are the Evan's big fan, i read your comment to other vid. Of course you don't like Plushenko.Yagudin is also brilliant skater , but Plushenko even unique, and most charismatic. His skate is passionate and very emotional. Plushenko is therefore better, technich is almost identical, ( Evgeni's personality is immersive, funny, and lovely.)

@lala630312 couldn't agreed with you more! Despite biased and negative comments targeted Evengi, I first saw his SP and instantly fell in Love! How can one not like a person like Evengi? Beyond remarkable talent, charmisa, and loyalty to his country, his sports, his family and friends. Look how he is so successful and yet remembered his roots AND helps out his parents and family, also for his friends being included in MV like Edwin Marton and Dima Bilan (Eurovision 08 winner)!

@thequadlegend I adore Evgeni since 1998, when he was 15 yold, and i first saw him. He was awesome, and he had lovely, and originally personality this time. His skating was interesting and brilliant. And i adore him more and more. I'm under influence of his charismatic personality. Do you agree with me more? I'm nervous because of your comment.

Totally agreed! He is just adorable and unique, I am so glad he is back. He gave us the highest level of artistic interpretation of the sport which I absolutely LOVE!

@lala630312 You know, honestly I don't argue that Plushenko is, and wil be remembered, as one of the greatest skaters of all time. For me, however, his poor sportsmanship and bad attitude is such a turn off that it is hard for me to appreciate anything he does. So he wanted to win. They ALL wanted to win. Silver is not bad and to insult a compadre in your field because someone thought he did the job better is just sour grapes.

@Chutson353 If you don't like Plu, why do you watch his videos? I have many information about Plu, i read his biographic novel, i read his official website every day, i watched many videos about him, not only skating videos, etc. He is my hobby. Feel free to say, he is a great person, he is always sincere. Do you know, that the ISU changed the rules, because of Plu, and his defenders? The ISU was under pressure!

@Chutson353 Lambiel, Weir really loves and respects him, the japanese great skaters admire and respect him. Even Lysa also said he is a great guy. Plushenko had so many show in Japan in last year, he received a lot of gift, he transported by ship to russia. In Japan was an orchid exhibition, where a new orchid's name became Plushenko. He has magnetic personality. Don't you like Plushenko? Do it!

The bottom line is that this is a subjective sport - some people appreciate big jumps - others prefer the more subtle stuff. I happen to prefer Lysacek because I think he's a great skater and great skills - I liked Plushenko in 2006 but not this year. I favored Poetzsch and Witt over Fratianne and Sumners despite being an American. But I think Evan earned his gold and I'm sick of the belly-aching and bad sportsmanship that is depriving him of the well deserved right to enjoy his win.

@Chutson353 You are american, and celebrate your mediocre champion in USA, we celebrate the real winner all over the world. Evan is boring, he haven't charisma, and talent. He is a good skater, but not special. If the judges scored well, then Evan enjoy his 3. place, what he deserved.

@Chutson353 I really like the way Plushenko defended his love and effort for the sport. Olympics is about pushing limits, go big or go home. I've found the media in U.S. and much of Cananda/UK targeted Plushenko in a very negative way. They edited the part and made they looks negative. Which is not we wanted is to be manipulated by the media. I've found negative comments on Plushy, said he just rip off his medal...but instead on other countries media, and other win he kissed it

jzrnsk, his choreography and techniqe is good enough to beat such a mediocre skater as Lysacek. Just enjoy Plushenko' s art because he is a real genius of the figure skating.

such cleanliness and fluidity in his skating now, unlike his olympic performance, which deserved silver but not gold. weak choreography though, a lot of skating from jump to jump to be a show-off.

even though Plushenko got only silver in olympics 2010, he didn't really lose to Lysacek. Plushenko remains as a legend.

Do we still have to mention this rivalry? For the record, Yagudin has said that Plushenko was his only real rival and that he's the strongest figure skater right now with no one to match him (despite the loss in Van). I'm sure Lyosha means that he's the only one who could match him but still! lol. It's nice to know that Leesh holds Zhenya in such high regard.
