  • Huh? Since when does a Galactica-class move its flight pods forward just before tucking into its hull like that? O.o

  • @KuDastardly well first its not the galactica class, its a concept ship made my Tandotj but it wasn't intended it turned out to be an animation error when i rendered it, i forgot to parent the flight-pods to the hull so when i dragged the model forward to animate it, the flight pods were treated as separate objects and their velocity was calculated by there size, hence the move slower than the main hull. sorry about that. this vid was mainly a test of the FTL effect anyway

  • @Bluetorchproductions

Ah okay, thanks for clarifying that for me then.

  • @KuDastardly no worries, i should get around to doing some more animations like this soon , i need to work out 3dsmax and transfer all the meshes first.

  • @Bluetorchproductions Your animation error actually looks kinda cool.

Even though this video is very old.. Still gotta point it out.

  • @b0rks it would have been realy usefull in character animation, getting limbs and inanimate possessions to lag behind the character as s/he is walking, Unfortunately i have since been unable to replicate the effect.

  • @KuDastardly Well, first off, it's not the Galactica's sister. Secondly, Galactica is a Jupiter Class Battlstar. Galactica simply made herself an unknown hero after one third of the fleet was destroyed by the CPE backdoor hack, and only six made it to making their own colony (Corpinacus Defense Force) and stayed there ever since.

  • @Tyco200 There were only 2 Jupiter class battlestars: Jupiter and Hermes. Galatica was a Columbia class battlestar.

  • @dumbenoughou812 whats your source? Jupiter-Class is what the designer who built the 3d model of Galactica called the class of ship. all the original 12 battlestars belong to this class

  • @Bluetorchproductions BattlestarWiki.

  • @dumbenoughou812 Correction-From Battlestar Galactica Fanon Wiki

Battlestar simply states that Galactica was a Galactica Class battlestar.

  • @dumbenoughou812 correction noted

  • @dumbenoughou812

Ah, but then it's a fanon, not a canon. IMO I would think that even though Galactica was built right along her sister ships, Galactica would have the prerogative given that she represented the capital planet of the 12 Colonies.
