  • It's almost pointless for me to watch Tony because he throws the same mark with the same amount of revs almost every time. So, I don't get an accurate idea of what that ball he's throwing can do.

  • I am a new bowler I want really want to start playing this sport. I am on my schools bowling team and I average about 100 it's horrible I know bit I did order a ball it's a Columbia 300 Scout Reactive. Did I make the right ball choice or did I get screwed. I also am now trying to learn to get my hook motion down is there any good vids I could look at? Please help!

  • @zGraphiiXz - The Scout is fine a likely to be good for you as a learning ball. You won't get too much over/under reaction from it. As for videos, I like the old school Marshall Holman- Maximum Bowling. It is a classic that is still true to this day. Enjoy and good luck!

  • @jamierocks42 the new Taboo is a very aggressive ball that works wonders in heavy oil. You should have no problem getting the reaction you want from it. However it's a bit more angular on the backend then typical solid balls so keep that in mind when throwing it. It will recover fast and hard.

  • @jamierocks42 it sounds as if the second house you bowl at has either a longer oil pattern or one that has more volume of oil overall. In that case you would need a more aggressive bowling ball in order to get the same reaction that the Fast gives you at the first house. A ball like the Virtual Gravity Nano or the Storm Marvel Pearl would be good heavy oil balls to look at.

  • @shado3mane Thanks for reply. i have been looking into a hammer taboo as my storm seems to be dieing on the back end. maybe it just needs a resurfacing but i am really looking into a hammer taboo electric blue. any thoughts?

  • hi, i am 17 years old and have been using the storm fast for a little over a year. i bowl in 2 leagues at 2 different houses. At one i bowl a 208 average and have no problems. but at the other i have a 130 average using the same ball. i don't get near the reaction at the 130 average house and it really messes me up. any advice? should i look into a less aggressive ball? (i am a tweener)

  • Love this ball. This is my first ball ever and after awhile i got better with it. Hitting about 180 everytime i go bowl :)

  • @bitchslayer Tropical Breeze!! Amazing short pattern ball!

  • Got this ball today and started out my first game horrible 90 somethn 2nd 143 then last 207 loving it!!!

  • does Tony ever change his shoes? only ever seen him in them shoes.. XD

  • I absolutely love this ball! When a lane is broken down or u have a stronger ball for beginning lane conditions overhooks, this ball is perfect. It holds, u can play multiple angles with it, and if u have a VG like i do, when it seems to bite too early, this is the ball to go to. The smell is amazing also.. Way to go storm!

  • I LOVE this ball, this is my opener and my strike ball, highest game with this ball is a 257 and i thrown a back hand hook at the lefts hand side inbetween the 2 and 3 arrow. I reccomend this ball to anyone who knows how to control their hook

  • this is an awesome ball for the price point!

  • 41kmph Bowl /watch?v=4mznbb4BnDg

  • I love my fast...no matter how far out it goes, even the first board, it ALWAYS comes back

  • Got this ball yesterday ..

    it is great..

    i bowled a 235 ")

wonderful ball i rcomend it to everybody

  • @jacobisbasketball If there is a ball you should check out, it would be the Mutant Cell or Virtual Gravity. I have the two and definately bowled my highest games with them.

  • im so excited, i'm getting this ball so i will now have the storm fast and the storm second dimension which i highly recommend!!!

  • what bowling center is that

  • i have a tatrum reaction bowling ball 14lbs and am a right handed bowling, im 16 and think about get a new ball but not sure which would be good for me. any ideas?

  • Lol I just realsed when John bowls his non-bowling arm displays a "Loser" sign. HAHA nice one John :D Check out 2:09 for it.

  • This ball was a surprise to me I was looking for a med oil ball but man this thing hooks it gave me 2 300's this season

  • how should i get this ball drilled so i have a lot of backend?

  • Just bowled my first 300 tonight with this ball i was soo pumped! lol

  • @zTOOzSKILLEDz congrats man, i love this ball too

  • I just got this ball not too long ago with what is becoming one of my favorite layouts. Storm has been putting out some really great equipment for a while now.

  • i use a storm slingshot for strike shots and i use a storm hyper gravity to pick up my spares and this ball looks like a really good strike ball for people who like to hurl the ball down the lane im definetly picking one up at the pro shop

  • why all the balls they show on these videos do they have the pin down, why dont they have 2 different balls each one with pin down and one with pin up shows the difference

  • tony has his up

  • Comment removed

  • @ejishungryforsubway thats because its not made for heavy oil

  • This ball, has a amazing reaction and it smells soooooo goood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • this ball has a good reaction

  • do these dudes get to keep these balls after they throw em? cuz that would be sick if they did

  • im pretty sure they work for the site so yeah

  • what is better? The Storm Fast or the Storm Reign or the MoRich Nsane Lev Rg?

  • the Fast & Reign don't even compare lol, fast is for drier lanes, and isnt anywhere as near as aggressive as the reign

  • that is a false statement. the fast is plenty of ball for oily lanes. not the shark but its a fairly aggressive ball. the difference is the reign, which id say is the overall better ball is more skid flippy and very angular

  • @DXBryan100 Ive got both and the fast is a house shot dream ball. The reign sets up much more prolly 4-6 boards more but does get down the lane much further

  • anyone able to compare storm fast, storm tropical storm, and avalanche slide in dry conditions?

  • is this ball good for dry to medium lanes? im looking to replace my super old burnt out tropical storm.

  • i just got this ball and i bowled 8 games with it and my first game was a 199 and my 9th game was a 201 and my 7th game was a 223

  • i kno wat its based on im bowling college i got 20 full schloraships wow i spelled dat wrong but still it might help if u wanna curve it more or have the reaction get switched up

  • well your full of shit then cause i bowled in college and you can't receive any scholarships or have any recruiting materials, phone, calls etc... until your junior year of highschool. and since your 14 you'd be violating recruiting regulations. now if your talking about scholarship money received from Jbt tournaments and such then that's legit

  • i have just got 2 300's and im only 14 i use the virtual gravity by storm message me if u r gonna buy one at ur local store and i will give u a good layout

  • yea it's called a pro shop and your layout may not work for anyone layouts are based on a bowler pap and your rev rate depends too which im sure yours is on low side.

  • are you bein serious?

  • i ordered this ball 1 week ago can't wait till i have it. im gonna ask the proshop if it can be max drilled i would love the hook!

  • this ball hits sooo hard... its a fired up on steroids..

  • ur right it has some major power in this ball

  • This Bowling balls smell like a candy!!! XD

  • i think all storm balls do. I have a storm tropical storm and a storm street rod and they both smell yummy :)

  • amen to that to many ppl bitch just deal with it learn to adjust and like u said earn ur ave.

  • i have a venom, a sauce and a rising (arranged in order of least to most hook). i need a ball that sits between my venom and sauce (any brand will do). Any recommendations? I am currently looking at the nomad... seems great! is that a good choice? =)

  • Why does Storm even put smells on their bowling balls. Kinda stupid, I think. Doesn't take anything away from how good their bowling balls are. Just seems unneeded to me.

  • i heard it was aromatherapy helps u clear ur mind when u breath

  • Oh, I see. Well If thats the case, i guess i could wear one of those little tree car scents since I dont use Storm, haha.

  • really let me guess u use that wonderful(sarcasm) company ebonite or one of there sub. companys or brunswick please tell me you arfe not using that crappy company. ebonite and the E.I. companys are to maintance oriented

  • I use Hammer, so I guess yea I do use one of their sub companies. They work great for me, so I don't bother changing.

  • i used nothing but hammer 2 yrs ago but changed when they started trying to create hook with oil absorbtion 30 games after you buy them you have to soak them in hot water to get the oil out that was to much trouble. u should try the fast or the furious u might like them im glad i switched

  • Very well said!! I have shot two 300's with my fast and posted some Monster sets!! 801 and 793!! Now I'm using the Reign and wow... skid and then unreal snap!!

  • let me kno how ur scores r thats the next ball im looking at getting i have a furious bout to be drilled up in a few hours cant wait

  • The Storm aroma takes the stinky bowling shoe smell out of my ball bag and locker too!

  • Oh, and I've also finally rolled a couple 600 series with this ball. It sure has taken some time to learn how to bowl with it. I have been getting good results by lofting the ball out towards the ten board arrow and trying not to go too fast. Slams the pocket sooo nice!

  • My friend with only a 160 average got the fast, furious, natural, siege, and nomad. fuck his spoiled ass. he has 18 bowling balls now. he doesn't even know what half of them do.

  • Yeah, I know a 13 year old that's gotten 8 new bowling balls this summer and gets personal coaching from our Alley owner, all paid for by his parents. People are dubbing him the prodigal child around here, and he hasnt earned a thing in his life.

  • haha that's life man! is he a good bowler? or just one of those rich kids?

  • does the ball have any smell? i don't have

  • Yeah it does cherry

  • I got this ball. Works just like in the video. Has lots of back end. I bowled a 235 with it and bowled my first 600+ series with it.

  • This looks like a great ball, I just ordered one today at my center's new pro shop. I'm going to test it and get proper adjustments assumingly Tuesday. Wow, does this thing look like it has back end power.

  • Didn't quite get my 600 series but had a nice 275 game a couple days ago. This was after watching this video about five times to get it into my mind real good how this ball needs to get down the lane. Works for me!

  • das is echt keine demo bei den miesen spielern......das is echt lächerlich.....

  • I'm not crazy about the smell, but it's pleasant I guess. Actually bowled Tues. after posting and had a 221 game with it. That was pretty sweet. Going back today and try to beat that score. Next goal is a 600 series with it.

  • Just getting used to my new FAST, and it slaps those pins silly as long as I do my job and hit my mark. I'm a stroker and having a little problem with control, but overall I think this is a great ball for the price.

  • do you like the cherry smell on it?

  • i dont really hook the ball at all when i bowl, i just try to go straight down the lane at the first pin/pocket.......would this be a good ball to help me hook without me really trying to?

  • This would be a great choice for your first reactive ball! After you get this ball we would suggest looking for a coach who can teach you the basics of throwing a hook. While this ball will help that process, it won't do it on its own :)

  • thanks alot for the info, right now im using a 16lbs Brunswick Zone.....i dont know to much about the ball and the specs etc.....since im not the original owner.

  • Well it is very important to have a ball that fits your hand. Also, when you buy your new ball and take it to a pro shop, most pro shop guys will take the time to go out and work with you a bit to get you started. So I think a new ball is definitely in your future!

  • @bowlingballcom do the testers get to keep the balls or do you guys plug recondition and sell them.?

  • @StormBowler1994

They are typically used as demo balls in our pro shops to allow bowlers to get to throw the ball before buying it.

  • It would be interesting to see ball speeds for a comparison. I would say rev rate too but that is a sore subject with some people.

I am concerned that If i get a ball drilled too agressive (like Brians) that it is going to hook out of the house for me.

I throw about 18.2 MPH and have 16 revs per 60 feet of lane (or about 420 rpm).

  • Hi, This is Kevin Blackmer I am the Texas staff Rep for lane#1, I just wanted to tell you guys that I think your video is very well done and awesome and the filming.

    Keep up the good work.

  • does storm own lane 1

  • Maybe if they made it more difficult a few more hundred thousand people would quit and you couyld have the lanes all to yourselt for a few week until all the bowling alleys went bankrupt. Try bowling barefoot if you thinks its too easy - just leave the rest of us alone!

  • if they quit screw them this game isnt about cake shoots its about adjusting im in one of the toughest houses out there and i deal with it i would rather it be tough u learn more that way

  • Brian, fun fact: our PAPs are almost identical. Mine is 4 1/2 over and 3/8ths up

  • im gettin it

    wa hew

  • I wouldn't say that is a real shot it is just a tougher house shot than the other one. I was giving comparisions.

There is a house in Akron OH though that had 85 300 last season (it is a 64 lane house). To me that is absurd.

Also in the league that had 8 300s I bowl with 1 regional/touring pro, 2 senior regional bowlers and 4 regionals.

Again it depends on your definition of a real shot though. Since the "Shots" all fall within USBC requirements they are all "real" shots.

  • whats funny here is that even though the 180 avg guy is doing all of these vids, his average is still under 200

  • looking at the video. Tonys ball looks faster, i didnt time it yet, too lazy lol... But tony looks like he has more ball speed, and both of them are playing the exact same area on the lane. John we both completely agree is a stroker, but in this vid, even he was left quite a bit. But this vid only shows strikes too. Nice to see 3 reactions, but its like watching 3 different one guy vids throwing strikes.. I dont really get any info from this, its just fun to watch what they can do.

  • looks like 2 crankers and a lesser skilled stroker to me. I love the vids though.

  • I wasn't reall trying to belittle them. I was just saying that when there is all the hold in the world in the middle and free hook outside it is hard to really know much about the ball. Other than it is great on a walled shot, which a lot of balls are.

  • it's a house shot....and considering that a house shot is what the majority of league bowlers see every week, i see no problem with showcasing what the ball would do for the average league bowler.

then there's the rest of us who would like to see what reaction we'd get on a real shot, but since i only see a real shot for 12 weeks out of the year, i'm not all that interested. i can adjust, if the ball doesn't match what i'm looking for on a specific shot, i change balls. no big deal.

  • It depends on your definition of a real shot. I play at one house on a blended THS that is 40 ft in length and the average score is about 190 (only 8 300s in a 24 team 36 week league).

The other house shot is 36 feet block that inflates scores to no end. The average is about 210 and there were 20 300s in a 14 team league that ran 32 weeks.

I would be interested to see this equip thrown on a sport shot, PBA experience shot or one of the Kegel shots

  • omg i dont want this...

    i must have it ! =o

  • i neeeeed them bothhhh ;D

  • I think a White Dot would look good on a walled shot like this.

  • this ball is so strong, and its in storms VALUE performance line

  • you know the performance lines really have no significance to the reaction?

  • i know that, that was exactly what i was saying, it is a great ball, and it wont be very expensive....

  • great

  • i want to the furious
