OUTSIDE THE SUB: You begin the level outside the sub. Lara is wearing the Extreme Depth Suit (EDS). The controls for swimming in the EDS are similar to those for normal swimming; however Lara can't roll. Also, the EDS is equipped with 10 chaff flares, which can be used as decoys to draw enemy torpedoes away from her. To use a decoy flare, press the Sprint key. (Regular flares, for seeing in dark places, can still be used with the normal Flare key.)

@manarch2
That's really not logical. Why would you want to avoid torpedoes ?
TombRunners 1 year ago
@TombRunners Not in a "real" deathrun, but with using them it's possible to make it non-restricted.
They're like weapons, which are also non-restricted.
So the run can be restricted.

Could the run get non-restricted using a decoy?
manarch2 1 year ago
@manarch2
What decoy ?
EwilCZ 1 year ago
Why isn't this run restricted? o.o

@tomeekun
You can't swan-dive in this level.
EwilCZ 1 year ago
@EwilCZ Where did I swan dive? o.O
tomeekun 1 year ago
@tomeekun
Nowhere, I said you can't swan-dive in this level, which automatically makes it non-restricted.
EwilCZ 1 year ago
@EwilCZ Uhm... Doesn't using a swan dive make a run non-restricted? o.O
Actually can this level be done non-restricted?
tomeekun 1 year ago
@tomeekun
Yes, using a swan-dive makes the run non-restricted. You can't get restricted in this level, that's why it's non-restricted.
EwilCZ 1 year ago
@EwilCZ I still don't get it. ._."
If I don't use swan dive in a deathrun then it' restricted. I didn't use it here either.
I think one of us is mistaken.

@tomeekun
It's called "exception". I'll add it to rules.
