If nobody cares too much, the signs just stay until the police grab em. So let each neighborhood/their police decide. If nobody grabs them, nobody really cares that much, there are a lot of retarded laws, when those signs sit there for weeks, and nobody really gives a sht, it is obviously a stupid law for that neighborhood. Police know this, I am actually glad they are spending their time on real crimes and not this sht. Cities can be like people, a sparkling clean asshole, is still an asshole.
@aajoeyjo If you walk into somebody elses neighborhood, and enforce a law that nobody in that neighborhood gives a shit about, then your "caring" is really just a complete waste of time. How about feeding starving children or donating to causes that directly help people. If people dont care about the signs being there, you are not helping anybody by removing them but yourself. If you put a dish of soup in front of a starving kid, mow an old neighbors yard, NOW your helping people.
If you take a few minutes to check out my channel page, you'll notice that I helped create a charity recently. Atheists Helping the Homeless. You'll also see that I help the city of Austin eradicate graffiti.
But more to this video, if you listen, you'll notice that I have criteria for the signs I get. I don't get every single sign I see. Firstly I don't go into residential neighborhoods at all. Only public areas, not near homes.
Why do you say that no one cares? There's an organization made up of people like me, because obviously people care about littering and the look of their city.
Citizens Against Ugly Street Spam. Look it up, if you want to see that I DO have support. And teammates.
I think it's very good and considerate what you're doing. I don't think many people think about this (I know I don't) but you could be saving someone from getting scammed.
Not only does this keep our town more beautiful, it discourages these businesses from continuing to do this. I couldn't muster up the motivation to stop and remove these signs, but I'm glad there are people like you who do. Great job, Joey.
Yes, and the answer is that the perp can be written a citation. Further investigation might result in a warning for whatever company that person works for, but that's asking a lot.
I just joined that site using 100% fake information.

That's a good reason to just do this ourselves. We caring citizens.
I've actually been able to make a dent here in Austin. I'm seeing a lot fewer signs on telephone poles. Sometimes the message gets through.

That's a lot of signage.
Have you asked what can be done if the perp is caught red handed putting the signs up?
