My husband and I just laughed and laughed. Thank you so much. Our son just got his feeding tube a few days ago and we needed a good LOL. How can I make a g tube baby for his sisters and him?
@tcsansmama Thanks! Any vinyl- bodied baby doll will work. I've used a few different devices to make the actual tube. The easiest is if you have spare foley catheters. Just puncture a hole, insert the catheter, fill it up, and voila. For this doll, Maggie had a form of g-tube made by Bard. The tip on her connector tube was easy to remove from the connector, so I just punctured a hole in the doll, inserted the tip, and then the girls could insert the connector tube to that. It is very popular!
@tcsansmama PS: I made a spare doll for her classroom. The other kids were very curious about Maggie's g-tube so I made a doll for the housekeeping corner and kept spare syringes for it. But we really discouraged using anything but empty syringes after this incident!
