It's such a small island and you'd figure someone would know or has seen something. I live on a small island as well and the community pulls together in times like that. Hope they find her safe and sound.

I know nothing about Bowen Island (near Vancouver, BC?) but it's obvious the boyfriend's story is BS. He claims she left the island, how self-serving.

The police should give him a drugs test, I think that's how he got her to lie to her parents and visit him.

I understand there was a restraining order against him for beating her months earlier. Check out all the people at the party and get their stories. A large reward would likely loosen some tongues.
