  • @AngelDemon567 What? Why?

  • @AngelDemon567 I think you mean that this video finds you disgusting.

  • @AngelDemon567 Are you on drugs? Are you deaf? Are you blind? or are you just thick as mince?

  • so good i can't actually think of what the one person who dislikes it could possibly be

  • He sings with his SOUL.

  • I think he really thought he had a guitar on his hands

  • woodstock is the soul purpose for me to fine a time machine

  • I guess joe's the first air guitar player of the world

  • BEATLES.......

  • vote with your money...pay for that organic carrot, that prius

vote with your lifestyle...spend time with friends, ride that bike.

  • Sheffields finest, the one and only.

  • Somebody shut up that damn dog!

  • My mom forbid me to listen to Joe when I was a kid. She used top tease about him saying he looks like he has SP. I used to think Mom, why are you so mean. So what if he does. All I seen was a man that was one with his music. So living in Utica, NY at 14yo I ran away from home and went to see Joe and CSN at Wood Stock. RIP Mom

  • @Witig this should have the most thumbs up man.......

  • @Witig you're not alone in that experience. You rock!

  • My mom forbid me to listen to Joe when I was a kid. She used top tease about him saying he looks like he has SP. I used to think Mom, why are you so mean. So what if he does. So living in Utica, NY at 14yo I ran away from home and went to see Joe and CSN at Wood Stock. RIP Mom

  • Wonderful. He really feels the music.

  • joe is the greatest ....

  • this is shit.. he looks retarded flailing around.. im all for flailing.. but styles gotta come in somewhere

  • @HTBD2525 I used to think he looked retarded, too. This was before I understood his genius had nothing to do with his appearance, and as far as his style goes, he fits right in with that era. You must not have been there. If you were, you'd think he looked normal!

  • @cliftongal51 true i actually just started listening to him.. :P i tend to throw shit out there on first impulse

  • @HTBD2525 Has it occurred to you that there could be certain substances involved.any how the crowd liked it.Maybe you should stick to Westlife!.

  • the best sound in joe cocker's soul is the precise single word vibration in the word "song" at 1:39 to 1:40. Emotion stirring through a word.

  • talent x passion x spastic motion = joe cocker at its pork chopped side burn finest

  • talent x passion x spastic motion = joe cocker at his pork-chop side-burn finest

  • The Beatles are my favorite band. That being said, this version blows theirs out of the water

  • totally captivating,

  • You gotta get ahold of your friends....Somebody knows the way.....

  • i think in peace in freedom i want a pacific world althoug there are bad persons we should try to change his bad things

  • John Belushi. Enough said.

  • i bet there is mesculine in that cup he drinks out of

  • I`m 15 but I wish that I was at woodstock too

  • @MrRonaldo309 i know your feeling

    i want woodstock to :D !!

    yeahhh !!

peace love and rock n roll !!

  • one of a few greats that actually made it through this amazing era of great music

  • Pretty sure he was on acid - hence the gestures.. and general weirdness about him. Still, taking nothing away.. incredible song and performance

  • @Mullafunka

he always did the spasmodic hand gestures, I saw him at singing in the Black Swan - Sheffield Pub – he did the same thing and was only fueled by the local beer

  • when he first starts singing - GOOSEBUMPS! fkn amazing

  • I guess even Woodstock didn't realize fully the gift Joe gave them... just the awesome power...

  • I guess even Woodstock didn't realize fully the gift Joe gave them...

  • I believe that the entire success of this version comes from Joe Cocker's wicked underbite. What do you think?

  • strasno!!!

  • @nvucko

    I kako jbt :D

  • somethin about joe cocker in this video reminds me of jack nicholson in Stephen Kings the Shining. idk y. But this video is just great.

  • no sé si en alguna otra ocación esta canción justificaba su existencia en forma mas suprema! esto más que una canción es un grito existencial, good, very good!!! woodstock forever!

  • ¡¡¡¡QUÉ RECUERDOS, VI ESTA PELÍCULA 21 VECES..... TRES VECES DIARIAS DURANTE 7 DIAS.... VIVIA EN EL TERCER PISO DEL TEATRO O'HIGGINS DE COQUIMBO.... EL ULTIMO DÍA ME METÍ POR EL TECHO DE MI CASA......

  • That scream at 5:00.... holy shit.

  • @Sarc37 : ) yeah man !

  • As powerful today as it was in 1969. Who knew?

  • amazing !!!

  • The drummer forgot to turn his snare on at the beginning, heh.

  • @stevoe05 but he played it off =]

  • This is good stuff!

  • Name someone who can belt out raw, gut-level, fuel injected whiskey and cigarette emotional exhaust like this today, huh? This ain't no damn LL Cool J, no stinkin' Jay Z, definitely rides higher than Justin Beaver (yeah, I know, man) or Lady-Freakin' GaGa or the crap you hear nowadays, am I right? Am I right! Can I get myself a witness?

  • @BGwinetteMulroney1 damn straight

  • @BGwinetteMulroney1 BG, you got a witness....it only takes fancy equipment to put out the crap Jay Z and that lot does. Joe did this in a pasture field...didn't take nothin' but raw talent and energy.

  • LOVE THIS SHIT! What a time it was then!

  • ...buena cancion....aprendan chicheros de lima......

  • silver gracias hermano creo cualquiert calificacion alta queda corta,

thank's for your tribute and contribution to keep in mind this "little" (high powered) piece of our lifes.

  • silver ,silver, silver, silver gracias por haberla puesto pero esta cancionnnnnnn...me cala asta la minima celula de mi cuerpo...y me hace retroceder a los años más, más , más ,más y mas lindo de mi vida.

  • awesome epi. joe........back when men could have long hair and still be real men!

  • this version rocks so much fucking harder than the beatles version.. BY FAR.

  • amazing man i wish i would have been around in that era"go up to your address bar, put the letter "Q" between the words you and tube and then press enter or click go"

  • Include quantum physicists in your night prayers

  • ジョー・コッカーの声は魂に響くいい曲だ。聞いているとぐっと締め付けられるすばらしさがある。

  • This song had greatness embedded in its veins. Guitar work from Jimmy Page, words from Lennon and McCartney, Steve Winwood on the organ and finished with the soulful, gritty voice of Joe Cocker. Such a wonderful rearrangement. Definitely on of the best cover songs ever.

  • One of the greatest vocal performances of the 20th century hands down. I read some of the comments with some amusement. You guys who were too young for that era..you did miss some exciting times. The whole hippie thing was greatly overrated though...the music was magic though.

  • i rew up with this music smoking grass lonely but i didi find jesus that was it

  • i wish that i could have gotten the chance to go to woodstock...if i had lived in that time, then i would have been a hippie, without a doubt.

  • I want to turn back the clock. I want to experience. Make Love not War

  • me too

  • what would you do if i said you where a douch bag johnboy

  • Brush it off cuz it's coming from you.

  • i love the music of woodstok i just fucking hate hippies and how they destroyed this country.

  • how the fuck did hippies destroy anything!? by supporting an alternative lifestyle founded on love and peace instead of items and money?

  • @Toris93 dont worry, hater's gonna hate

  • @Toris93

But remember all those "hippies" that sold out though, like Santana, Genesis, Rod Stewart, Eric Clapton (partially), Elton John, Robbie Robertson, Steve Winwood, Chicago, Mike Love, and the most important sell-out of all.... Paul McCartney.

They smelled money, fame, or if they already had all those things, then Hollywood. These "Hippies" are probably the biggest traitors of the whole generation.

  • @Toris93 They destroy our liberty and our constitution, that is why you dumb liberal. I do like this song and yes I am a black republican.

  • so you can't love woodstock, because woodstock was hippe!

  • is there anything better

  • Ty silver 6109...tunes for the soul:)

  • Beautiful

  • (LargeLindaR ) it's very sad that u don't appreciate great music...if u have nothing nice to say turn off the f****** screen..... NOBODY gives a SH** about ur opinion

  • you don't need to watch this video...LargeLindaR

  • i agree

  • obviously you dont know what music means to some people. he is putting his heart and soul into this performance and you sit here and mock him like your better than him. i would love to see you stand in front of 500,000 people and put on this great of a performance, which you would never be able to do so you can shut the fuck up and if you dont like this performance or this music for that matter, than why would you bother even searching it you dumbass?

  • I have to comment again...this is so good. He puts so much emotion in to this...I wish I was born then...great music!

  • If you were around & old enough back in 1969 you would understand the music & what it ment. This is Joe Cocker at his best!!

  • I don't care if he's on something or not...they were all singing for love and respect of people everywhere...something we ALL need more of. This is a great version and you can't beat his voice. I love people who express their individuality, that's the coolest thing you can do with your little peace of this reality.

  • Dude love and respect of people everywhere?????? What about the soldiers that were returning from Vietnam and were spat on and called baby killers from hippies????? Love and respect for who? People that are just like themselves!

  • If I ever met a VIetnam Vet that wasn't spit on by someone I will surely pass out...Nobody spit on those guys and you are full o' shit. You surely have been watching too much liberal crap.

  • My uncle and his fellow troops returning from Germany in the early 70's had to change into civilian clothes to keep red paint and dye from being thrown at them and being spit on...they couldnt even come home in uniform...what a disgrace, and yeah, that stuff DID HAPPEN!

  • @Prideoffreedom your right ..but the sadest part is most of those men would have given anything to be at woodstock right along side those same hippies

  • His Joe Cocker is almost as good as John Belushi's!

    (yeah I know J/K)

  • Terrets syndrome?

  • no that just the way he sings I this cuz I saw a show about woodstock and they were talking about him.

  • more respect for someone who has the guts to stand in front of so many people and still to be able to sing like perfect you little peace of trash brain.

  • At 4:25 the guy in the background...lol

  • Since that time, and with all due respect , Joe Cocker has always made his own version better than several originals : Feeling allright, The letter, You are so beautiful,Sorry seems to be the hardest word, among many others..

  • The 60's! The most insprational era of the 20th century. Were fucking due another one!

  • never happening again. it sucks but most of the music is Vietnam Protest music.

  • You are so full of shit....there was one song about anything to do with Vietnam. Country Joe McDonald's "I Feel Like I'm Fixin' to Die Rag"...The rest was about anything but Vietnam...What does this song have to do with Vietnam?

  • This was the best version.. Beats the beatles version by a longshot... By the way I love the beatles

  • I would imagine the Beatles agree with you.

  • I love this, as everyone here, I just can't say that we could feel the same if we didn't know the original. I think that part of the impact is cause the surprise and the remnant of the original. So the emotion grow when we feel this. Anyway, this version always makes me cry.

  • LOVE LOVE LOVE!

  • wat a nut job. but a great preformer!

  • No... It's the drugs, I've never seen Joe do these things... Acting like he's playing the instruments! LOL!

  • brings me back to the wonderful 60's....what a time!!!!!

  • THE BLAZING HEAT... The aroma of Patcholi OILs intertwining with the pure Mid-Summer Sweat of So many LIVE bodies- A LITTLE herb Burning off the Left/hand/STAGE area...CHIP MONK Going through his afternoon announcements (W/A " Weather.. Warning") STEVE COHEN. MICHAEL LANG and JAY DREVERS Studying how a storm is to be weathered ..following Cocker and The GREASE BANDS'SET FInally the decsision needed to be made, a 60 Min.set, opening w/"DELTA LADY"and closing w/ I'll GET BY W/A LITTLE HELP From.

  • one of the best woodstock performances. and btw this song is called "With a little help from my friends"

  • WTF....Freaking awesome!

  • he pissed on 2 bottle's of gin and any drug he want lol

  • é simplismente lindo!!!!!

  • you know, he puzzles me everytime. You can't expect that voice to come out of that mouth, you just can't. joe looks like..I don't know what, but he sure doesn't look like somebody who sings beautifully. but he does. and that's the great thing. and the fact that he goes manic on stage just makes the whole thing better.

  • Cocker looks so different at that time

  • he is off his nut lol. great singer though and the fact hes so crazy gives a great performance =D

  • brings back good ole memories

  • what s that dog barking in the beggining??

  • a dog...

  • a cocker :)

  • If you like Joe, look up a copy of the movie "Mad Dogs and Englishmen"...Leon Russell, too good for words...

  • Takes me back to the wonder years

  • I was born in the late 50's.

I got to go to many, many concerts and back then it was $6.50, first come first seat. It was so much better back then.

Just the smell of pot in the arena got you stoned. Those were the days, wish you could have been with me!

  • AIR GUITAR !!!!!!!!!

  • Air guitar, air bass, air piano, air drums, you name it lol

  • Great performance

  • Ah Joe Cocker and the Grease Band, with Chris Stainton on keyboards I remember them well, great song ~

  • yes this is the theme song for the wonder years.

I love the beatles a lot and I love this song. But, I have to say that Joe Cocker has me on this one. :)

  • yes is was the theme song theme for the wonder years.

I love the beatles and I think that they do a good job on this song, but I almost have to say Joe Cocker has me on this one. :)

  • Wasn't this the theme song of The Wonder Years?

  • yup

  • awesome

  • wonderfull song, wonderfull cocker's voice and instrumental background,but...chorals are REALLY crappy!! looks like cartoon voices ,lol

  • when singing a song is burning a soul !!!!

  • lol stop at 1:30

  • superbe

  • i love this , so many close minded dousches make fun of this b/c he slurred his words and stuff in this . . man he was high , damn everybody was . . it was the thing , it was amazing , and i would have absolutely LOVED to have been there , nobody cared he was slurring , people were getting down , it was about more than small things . . god i wish i lived back then

  • i dont even know you and i like you

  • completley agree, that was a miracle age, i'm only 17 and i love all that music, janis, morrison, cocker, hendrix, stones, beatles, etc, and i'm agree with sewplex, i dont even know you and i like you

  • Thanks :) I think i love this time period of music history and history in general the most, not because of the drugs, sex, and wonderful music. But people were actually uniting in peace, woodstock had millions of people, i think it had the most any music fest. has ever had and it was by far the most peacefull. People were trying to change the world and love one another. and there just seemed to be an overall sense of colour and happiness. and thats gone now.

  • Ah men bro...I'm only 18 and wish every day i lived back then, i mean this song/version = WOW and Jimi hendrix and the cherry on the cake THE WHO!!! Woo

  • @7772121 word seriously... look past the slurring and the weird gestures this is fuckin music man... dont nothin like this exist now.
