Parkour is getting from one spot to another in the most efficient way possible, by doing vaults and other thing. Free Running, is adding creativity and style to parkour by adding flips and other unnecessary things to make it look cooler and better.

the whole idea of parkour is to get from point A to point B as quickly and fluently as posible. If you manage to go around say a gate faster than you can vault it you need more practice

Parkour is all about moving fast forward and not get hurt.

Style vaults are still fast but they are like more style in them.

@Murloc999 nope im not wrong, parkour is: moving from point a to point b as efficently as possible (point 1, this is not effiecent as it takes more energy to get over the object as a non style vault and point 2. parkour was not invented to show off cool tricks, it was as above invented for the purpose of the deffinition, freerunning on the other hand, is technicly parkour, but adding style, it is pointless unless making a cool video, or want publicity.

Very useful video, i, at first, could only do the lazy vault because it's the only one the other videos showed me how to properly do, now i can do the monkey vault and pop vault. Unfortunately, there isn't much to do parkour wise down here in south carolina, all i can do is jump the rails on my porch and scale the walls of this big metal dumpster in my back yard XD

My friend and I both started about 2 months ago and we can do most of this stuff. If you're really really dedicated, this will only take a week... But you need a lot of conditioning. Really, just stick to it, do push-ups, get in good shape.. then just do whatever you want to =)

i practice in various places around the city. its hard to find a practice spot, but i usually practice around the neighborhood and around SM and sometimes around the highways and bridges. :P
