  • DOES THIS SONNUS G2M HAVE LATENCY

  • @GYPSYROMA777 Very little, it requires a very clean playing though and a bit of adaptation...

  • Thanks for that! I'm sending my i2m back - it just won't track.

  • @stratocaster539 Really? I never had any trouble with it...

  • Great demo ... so much for Version 1! I am sold on V2 with the chromatic mode switch.

  • Good demo. I purchased the original G2M V1 and found it fairly poor comparatively to my Roland GK setup. But I'm also interested in real time midi conversion of my voice using my mic as the input source, and I'm wondering if the results will be improved with V2, especially in chromatic mode. V1 did not track my voice well.

  • @pjmuck V2 tracks much better for sure. But it won't replace the GK system...

  • Sweep5 m'a rappelé de la scène où Mario arrive au rencontre final contre le grand dragon aux Super Mario Bros :P

  • @Ningirsutyr Haha! Ouais!

  • Is there any difference in the tracking between this and the i2m?

  • @rickdwhitney They are about the same I would say... Maybe this one a tad faster, but not much...

  • awesome! what's the cost?

  • @frankenbat About $130 on their site. I added the link to the description of this video...

  • if they had one with monophonic and pitchbend modes, and a polyphonic mode too i'd definitely buy it,

  • Very cool if it works. Fretted Synth has had audio to midi in the form of a plugin for a few years now. Tracking has always been a problem.

  • @hueseph Yeah, I'm pleased with it. It's not perfect, but if used to blend your guitar tone with synth patches it works great. :-)

  • NIce work. Looks like I need version 2 now!

  • @sarinapaparone Yeah, it's great!

  • interesting i might have a look at this for recording flute leads...does it need a strong attack to get the midi on information?

Can you do me a favour and see if it picks up the articulation if you do a "violin" style lick with a volume pedal or knob.

    Thanks

    Brian

  • @sacredgeometry Not too strong.. But it needs a clean signal... :-)

  • @Wallimann Thanks, i might give it a go but run a compressor with a strong attack in between my mic and the G2M. Its a handy thing as I often mirror my instrumental parts so that i can run synth lines along side them.

    Peace

    Brian

  • Great review Dave :). The tracking is most definitely superior in version 2. I might have to look into it sometime in the future ;).

  • @udsahn Thanks Jason!

  • Wouldn't mind having one of those...

  • is this v2 in the form of a update for the device?

  • @BigCowz No, it's a new one. :-)

  • @Wallimann Schweet i might get it thx looks like a big improvement

  • David, can you lock it to a scale like in the i2M?

  • @GuitarFuYou No, you can't... :-/

  • non of my programs like reaper and mixcraft and programs like th1 work for me in real time can you help me

  • @xom400 You might need a better sound card?

  • @Wallimann probly do u know any cheap one that are good (im not getting any income at all atm)

  • @xom400 I heard good things about the M-Audio FastTrack...

  • @Wallimann thanks man ill check it out

  • just get a roland gk3 midi pickup, i can use my old crappy soundcard using cubase using a plugin called musicuendoz that converts audio to midi. and using the asio4all i can set the latency pretty low but for full midi note recognition this sonuus seems to work a lot better than what i'm talking about but roland gk3 the best way to get midi guitar.

  • Glad I had waited. You can do sum Al Di Meola type stuff with this.

  • i like boobs

  • Nice one Dave ;-)
