Never liked Bob Geldof....Micheal Hutchence was a preformer geldof could'nt even dream about being...& don't bother me with the live aid shit either geldof did that for personal reasons as well a humanitarian, i don't really care....RIP M H.
I just love this song with all of its energy and great music composition. Michael did have a great voice & style.I can not think of enough adjectives to adequately describe this band,Michael & their music and lyrics.RIP
he was a good man , a good singer , an amazing man ,, just he was full of sadness and unhappyness ,,,,the best time of music was 60s,70s,80s,90s, now just rubbish, its like music is dying everyday ,,,i havent turn on my radio since 2000 ,, nothing interesting to my ears,,, what can i find ?? justin timberlake, jessica simpson, or all the rubbish thats in mtv come on dont kill the music people at least try to play a guitar or a drummer ... anyway music is just commercial just for youth ...........
he was a good man , a good singer , an amazing man ,, just he was full of sadness and unhappyness ,,,,the best time of music was 60s,70s,80s,90s, now just rubbish, its like music is dying everyday ,,,
very, very gay version of this muscular song. Nothing against you shirtlifters, but there's got to be a reason why hutchence chanced it with the skinny legs and the whiny lyrics pacing.
Top performance. I saw that tour - top of their game then I think. The whole band was smashing it on the vid. Well connected energy and a shit load of love in the room probably helped too.
subway...you need to relax, i miss michael so much, i cried when he died. But the rest of this great band had to go on , and in my opionion they did a great job replacing him. life goes on. Give the guy a break.
If anyone would know it would be his family. Go watch the interview with his mom & sister. They give the reason. And I was convinced by their explanation for his death.
Ask Geldof. The investigators interrogated the Australians who had contact with Michael that morning but, Geldof and Yates weren't even required to present their phone records to verify their police statements. Utter BS - Aussies treated as 2nd class citizens and Sir and Lady Geldof treated with kid gloves even though they both had motive and opportunity to be extorting Hutchence.
What really bothers me is that Geldof has Tiger Lily when she belongs with her aunt. Geldof is a prick who took advantage of the situation. I cannot wait until Tiger is old enough to make her own decisions.
@CoreyZ91681 exactly. How the hell did he end up with custody? No blood relation at all. She should have went to Michael's family. I cant imagine how much money Geldof is getting to raise Tiger. sickening
I read somewhere that according to British law Geldof, who apparently had custody of Tiger with Paula, was in charge of inviting others to a custody hearing after Paula had died. Bob could have invited Michael's sister, but didn't, and she could not have come anyways because she was not invited. That's what I read, and it seems hard to believe, but it would not surprise me.
Another strange thing about the exchange of phone calls between Hutchence and Geldof - Geldof claimed Hutchence had been making hostile calls to him for Paula. I find it hard to believe that these calls were not recorded; Geldof has an army of lawyers, they would have advised him to record all communication with Yates and Hutch.
I watch this video over and over and i can`t get tired of seeing and hearing Michael!he never looked better, the performance is amazing, the song speaks louder thand words. thanks for posting! where can i see more videos from that concert, san francisco 1988?
I saw this tour when INXS played in Cleveland. Michale Hutchence was one cool dude. Although not as popular, he is every bit the front man as Jagger, Morrison or Elvis. A true performer. His loss was irreplaceable.
The drummer is so sexy!!!. Inxs never will be the same without Michael Hutchence, But now, they are not bad, are diferent. Let them be, must be people who like them.
A good one? You talking about J.D. Fortune as leadsinger now in INXS?? ;-)
Sorry, but I think Jason Deane is a great singer, in his own personality. He have also an original voice, not so good as well like Michael Hutchence had, and Jon Stevens, but he's great enough for me. :-)
I was thinking about that when i posted it here: Somebody will say JD is good. Well, as a formed musician, I know that he can't get the notes right on the pitch, no carisma at all. If he is great enough for you and not so good as well like Michael Hutchence, why bother?
It's not a question about how good he is for me. I love INXS with or without Michael Hutchence. The other guys is still there, and they deserve the respect to holding the line so long. :-)
I agree. Michael was wonderful but the rest of the guys are great talents in their own right. Lets not forget that most of their awesome body of music was written by Andrew. They all made the band great. Thats why Michael would not be photographed alone for the cover of Rolling Stone mag. He knew they all made the band great.I love them.
He was not self centered he loved those guys like brothers. I thought it was nothing but class that he wouldn't be photographed without them.....Cheers to you Michael....thats the way its done!
And another thing, I didn't knew INXS before MH died. I'd learned 'em to know back in 2000, so as you can hear, it's nothing a problem for me that MH is not there. So long the 'Farriss Brothers' + Kirk and Garry is alive, I still love 'em, it's still the same sound in the music without any voice. B-) When they're gone, it would not being the same anymore.
@runehede well I understand that the original remaining guys from INXS are good, they are not good: they are great! The music is great! And I love all of them but....I knew INXS with MH. And if i hear one of MHs song, I cant help but think : MH sing it better, MH sing it with all his heart. Nothing against JD, its like that and its a shame. If they would manage to find someone with great persona and voice, it might work again.
tHIS IS THE BEST.....Out of all versions on yt this is the SUPERIOR ONE.
Again thanks for sharing
