Visual Kei encompasses both the look and type of music they create. Nearly all (if not all) VK bands are some type of metal band.
Even thought Girugamesh are classed as VK, I don't see them that way. I see them more along the lines of a slightly more glamorous Deathgaze in visual presentation and DG is a Nagoya Kei band. When I think VK, I think bands like Deluhi, old Luna Sea, old XJapan and old Dir en Grey where you have difficulty designating gender because of the outrageous costuming.
@dude7747 the way i understand, visual kei is simply when they dress up in a certian way, but can be any type of ganre. but i've heard alot of things so i really cant conferm that, but thats how i look at it anyways
