Law & Order was never better without Jerry. I miss him dearly....he brought so much to his roles...whether it was in L & O, Murder She Wrote or The Law and Harry McGraw. I can say I judged every L & O character after him by his skills. No one was ever as good as he was. And his Broadway legacy will never be equaled.

I am also from the family Orbach, in Israel, and I can't believe why they insist so much on Wikipedia that Jerry Orbach was Catholic. Other American actors like Paul Newman were also half Christian and half Jewish, but Newman is remembered as a Jewish actor.

What a great tribute. Jerry Orbach was truly the heart and soul of the show. I was in NYC last year and stumbled across a street they renamed after him and it tore me up.. You are dearly missed and will always be remembered.
