  • .Sounds Killer. What kind of pups are in that beaut.? And what volume were you at on the amp and axe ? thanks.

  • @LesterPaul01 stock pups and cranked!! Thanks for watching.

  • What kind of speakers are you running thru? :D

  • @Kitarist88 4x12 cab with 20 watt celestions

  • Great clip,... this really helped me in my decision between a plexi or JTM45. Go check out the vid I posted of some clips I made with my JTM45 and '58 RI Les Paul. Thanks again, you are a great player.

  • Is the metro different to the Ceriatone? USA based? Kit form? Nice playing and tone!!

  • Fantastic! Do you mind if I steal a bunch of your Clapton licks? There's TONS of gold in this video.

    Thanks again!

  • so i take it the metro amp is a clone type of take of the marshall?

  • Yes, better than any new JTM45 you'll ever get from Marshall. And equally as good and better in some ways than the original.

  • Groovy! Is that the amp breaking up on it's own or do you have an over drive pedal or a Hotplate? No pre amp gain on that I assume....I play all amps with no pre amp gain...old Fenders and Marshalls. Have good luck with a Power Soak, Tube Screamers, Fuzz faces etc.... Really enjoyed your video on the building of the amp.

  • No pedals used, just guitar, amp and all power tube overdrive. Thanks for the comment.

  • That's cool...not too loud then? Usually not much call for super loud amps these days ya know! How many watts? I also use little Princetons and Champs....plenty good for a lot of stuff! Not everyone considers power tube od....good thing to strive for. That amp looked superb on the construction video.

  • you know..i'll try to learn whatyou're playin'

it's soo cool.. nice tone also..335's rock!!

  • Thanks for the comment.

  • man you have some killer tones my friend!!! i love that guitar!!!

  • Thanks, I appreciate the comments.

  • dream gear man!,

the metro and the 335 sounds perfect together, i don't think it can get any better than that!

  • Thanks for the comment.....yeah it dont get much better..........well it does with the 58 historic.

  • Really nice job!

  • Hi! Love your sound man! And the 355's a beauty... Hey - did you build the head or the combo? If head - are you pairing it with a 4x12?

  • Thanks, yeah I built the head version and am running a 4x12 cab loaded with 20 watt celestions.

  • It's amazing how the best tone most guitarists have heard, regardless of their playing style, is a decent guitar into a hand-wired tube amp cranked up to head-splitting volumes! Simple and SWEET!

  • this is some of hte best tone I've heard from anyone on youtube. clear, full, & warm. nice playing to boot.

  • Thanks for the comment brudda!

  • Wow!! That really sounds great! This is actually one of the very, very, very few times I have heard a "tone sample" sound good on youtube..

  • that is a sexy amp man. im thinking of that amp. is it easy to build. or is it better to just have them build it.

  • If you can solder and follow instructions to the letter, you'll have great success. Thanks for the comment.

  • my dad can solder and follow directions. haha thanks a lot. im kinda deciding between a jcm 800 and this. any suggestions.

  • For an extra 300 buck or so, Id let George assemble it for you.

  • Where would you get the JCM kit from? Ceriatone?

  • yeah probably.

  • How loud is this amps?

  • Its cranked on about 6-7.

  • Sounds fantastic! I have the Metro 68 Plexi 50 watt on the way. So after hearing your clips, needless to say, I'm chompin at the bit and can't to fire her up.

  • Congrats on the Metro 50...thats my next build for sure. I look forward to some clips.

  • I've got a '96 Es 335 and wondered what your thoughts would be if I put Throbak's in it. I've only heard them in yours & Dan's LP's,but I wondered if it would make that much of a difference in something like a 335? ;I've got a set of Timbuckers in my LP,but am always interested in trying something to improve my tone. Thanks

  • It's got that Clapton Bluesbreakers/Cream era sound! Very nice playing and gear, man!

  • Thanks Brudda.

  • wow what a great tone I love when you hit that high note on the 13th fret i believe second string it sounds so good

  • Thank you for nIce sound and playng as always !

Please let me know setting of volume and tone for your JTM45.

  • nice sounding amp!

  • Thanks!!

  • Great playing, and what incredible tones in every position. I love semi-hollows, but that one has got to be the best I've ever heard. Been talking about swapping this high gain 3 channel amp head I've got with a mate for his JTM45 - this vid kind of sealed the deal for me. Thanks!

  • Thanks for the compliments. Sounds like a great deal to me!

  • That is the s**t!

  • Thanks Bigs.

  • Tks Phil...Can you see my smile? Are they the 57 classic pups? Do you have the 45's channels jumpered? Superior tone there Doctor....Sweet Vid!

  • No these are the patent numbered original pups in this beast. Plugged straight into the normal channel cranked. Thanks brudda for comment.

  • Now this is a fantasitc sounding combination!

Nice playing too! One of the best videos you've done. Have a great weekend! T

  • Thanks for the kind words my friend.

  • Is the 355 yours? If so shes a beaut

  • No its just been on loan or rather in storage at my place for 10+ years Thanks for the comment.
