My Uncle is a petomane who had a similar mis-hap to the le petomane he had to have his rectal stitched cos he ripped\damaged it through ripping loud farts. i must watch this film when it comes out.

This is about my Great-Great Grandfather!!! That is the gods honest truth!! His grandson, my Grandfather Charles Pujol and my Mother came to America in 1954 and lived in Washington D.C. , My Grandfather Charles just past away from Cancer this past year.

Haven't seen steves film, but another by the same title (Le petomane)

from 1979 by Ian MacNaughton.(director of almost all "monty python" tv shows)

Its about the life of Joseph Pujol, a man who made a living as a "farting" performer in european(mainly french) variety shows, see wikipedia for more info.

I hear you. I wrote and directed the film and the idea was to take the subject matter and handle it so seriously that the film would play essentially as a "drama," but actually be a comedy. If you head over top IMDB and read the comments (notwithstanding one that just hated the subject matter overal) you'll see that we successfully rode the line. The trailer, however, is on the drama side. Thanks for commenting. You may have inspired another, comedy-focused trailer to be cut!
