  • To get a detailed answer you may wanna google, "10 commonly asked questions about Hinduism" and read in detail...I am sure you will find it there...

BTW - Hindus, Buddhists and some other religions believe that this world is just an illusion, nothing is real and it is all God's play.

  • anticonversion; see my above comments and if you want to discuss lets find a forum such as groups . myspace . com /humanityawakening or something and others can talk there too

  • u still did not expalined correctly about the other gods? if they worship one god then why do that god had to sent other gods when god is all sufficient enough to manage his affairs he dont need other gods? and remember if there was more than one god all toher gods wud empower each other and they have to be some misintrptions in the universe . so basically might no be gods but some holy perosns

  • The only true Lord, the Creator, the essence of all is not subject to birth/death and Karma and his abode is accesable to only a few who are of supreme faith and wish to attain him, not the pleasures of heaven or earth (although each is riddled with equivelent miseries)

  • the sun is 1 but its rays spread around universe. Hinduism it doesnt say you need to worship many Gods,1 impersonal reality only, or cows. All living creatures come from God, have important significance depending on their situation, and have emotions/feelings, so they should be properly respected. Just as every humans life has its strengths/purpose, cows give milk like a mother does, which is made into dairy products and thus the backbone for a healthy and economically prosperous society...

  • -So its imperative they maybe revered more in that respect. There are higher beings that, when revered with certain actions, could give back rewards;God like, but not exactly God, just as Angels in the Bible maybe holy but not God. There is a Supreme Being with a personal form that is referred to as Sri Rama, Vishnu, or Krishna etc. Brahman is just 1 word for the infinite/eternal/total reality and if u seek that u get that impersonal knowledge/peace but no personal relationship (no bliss)

  • Just try to understand the difference between God and gods. These gods work with the power derived from God. And we Hindu respect them for instance sun, earth and so on in a similar manner as one should respect his parents as suggested by almost all the scriptures.

  • I have always felt the God is a multi-fasceted being that is the source of all existance. We and all things are sparks off that force. If it is not of God it does not exist. To me the angels are creations of God, made for special missions. We all are part of God and equal in the universe. Our job is to do good, perform our tasks and once completed rejoin that force. Too many people limit God or try to make a physical figure out of God, this limits God and is an error. God has no limits .

  • Very true,,,..The evolved souls understand what you just said...

  • thanks a lot 'anticonversion' u just cleared my mind......i was also looking for the same question, bcoz some ppl just puzzled me saying hinduism is not a religion bcoz we hindus hv so many gods, whereas god is one......thanks man now i can answer them back properly!

  • You might wanna google, "10 commonly asked questions about Hinduism" and get more information. Jai Shri Ram.

  • What is that song in the backround?

I love that and would like to find it and listen to it x3

  • I have myself taken the video from another website so I am not sure about the background song, sorry. God bless!

  • Its very simple, there is one God manifesting himself in different times and to different spieces throughout the manifested space in different forms according to HIS WILL. And then there are DEMI-gods(impowered souls) who do some galactic cleaning everytime puffed-up humans throw shit at the ceiling fan.

  • Mark, I believe that Atheism in other means questioning the existence of God. Hindus believe that every living being through several incarnations finds salvation at one point - it is the destiny of every living being. Questioning is better than blind faith...At one point when the person who questions gets the right answer and that is the point when that person gets firm conviction; this person, I think, is better than the person who never questioned and realised the truth!

  • If Hindus are monotheists then who is a polytheist???

  • I am not sure sir/madam!

  • im sorry, i don't mean to be rude or to disrespect, but i heard somewhere that Hindus through their god in the ocean each year. and get a new one.

and i heard that you guys buy your gods.

if the answer to the two questions are yes,

can you please tell me why?

i am sorry if any how i offended or hurt your feelings. i didn't mean to

    peace :D

  • There is a long story and philosophy behind the surface negatives of the two things that someone has told you. Each year during the Ganpati festival an idol of Ganpati is brought home by the people who like it. After worshipping it for 10 days or less, as one wishes, one then immerses the idol into the sea to send the subtle energy into to be back with the ocean. Much of it can be researched on google if you like under "Ganesh festival, its significance".May Godbless. Glass is half full for some

  • no one anymore i guess. the greeks/romans and norse years ago, but no true polytheists now!

  • I respect everyone's religious beliefs. However,I have to say that too much stress is laid on heaven and hell in other religions.Sanatana Dharma or Hinduism says that heaven and hell are not our permanent homes.A soul may go to heaven if he has accumulated very good karma while he was on Earth or a soul may go to the hellish realms if the soul sinned a lot.But eventually the soul will be send back to Earth to finish all its Karma and attain liberation.True Liberation is even beyond heaven.

  • i hope this that video give answer to all narrowed minded pple .

  • it seems such a peaceful beautiful religion

  • hinduism is a great :) i am Catholic

  • What an iinformative video. thank you. I'm atheist myself, and believe tha tthe true beauty and power of the world is the physical lie itself. The universe blows me a way jus tby being what it is and being the height of all that there is- is a god in a way.

  • Profound thought! Very true! U r not an atheist then - you revere the prakriti (nature) which is also the energy of God! In disguise, you revere God!

  • i am a muslim convert myself but this is very interesting video.i like it and i respect all religons

  • hinunism is great religion in the world

  • Yes this will answer the main question people ask about Hinduism. I believe in one god, AUM.

  • I believe that Hinduism is the most oldest religion and the most Ancient. Allt he storis you read in the bible are similar to the stories in Hinduism. I believe that there is only one God and the world made different religions just to separate themselves from other people who are not from their religion.

  • true i agree, there is one god, and i totally agree with your point. and the stories from the bible are EXTREMELY similar to that off the vedas and purans. THe most shoking is the story f the kalyg, the demon kali and the kalki avtar of vishnu, telling the exact christian sptry of Jesus and the anitchrist.

Hinduism is the oldest surviving monotheistic relgion. Even krishna says in the bhagvad gita "there is no other god but me, immerse yourself in me" again symbolising monotheism.

  • Hindus believe in one God, but don't limit Him to one dimension. He is unlimited! God has unlimited forms, names, and expansions. He is both one and many. These many forms is God in many aspects, but all still one, the same, God. Hindus know that God is greater than what others may teach. This is because Hindu scripture is so detailed and complete. Vaishnava Hindus worship God in love and devotion "bhakti".

  • Good reply but one minor correction. All Hindus believe in "bhakti" or "loving devotion". In India, the word "bhakti" is used to refer to any kind of "loving devotion" - for instance, patriotism is called "desh bhakti" or "country devotion" etc. But, all forms of Hinduism practice bhakti not just Vaishnavas. However, their chosen diety will vary. To shaivites it is Shiva, to Shaktas it is Shakti and so on ...

  • thank you so much for this video.

  • Get our concept of God. All Hindu deities are symbolic representations of ParaBrahman (God).

  • We come to know that we have made God in our image when God hates the same people that we do.

We should all be as tolerant, although there haa been innumerable incidents of hindu violence against Christians in India. Like all religions and violence, these were perpetrated by Hindu fundamentalists.

  • "All living beings, moving and nonmoving, are My expansions and are separate from Me. I am the Supersoul of all living beings, who exist because I manifest them. I am the form of the transcendental vibrations like omkara and Hare Krishna Hare Rama, and I am the Supreme Absolute Truth. These two forms of Mine--namely the transcendental sound and the eternally blissful spiritual form of the Deity, are My eternal forms; they are not material." (Bhag.6.16.51)

  • Lord Krishna also explains that he is the Supersoul of each and every living being, who exist only because of Him. He also establishes that He is the spiritual sound vibrations that can be chanted, as well as the forms of the Deities that we can see.

  • "My dear Uddhava, I am the cause, protector and the Lord of all mystic perfections, of the Yoga system, of analytical knowledge, of pure activity and of the community of learned Vedic teachers. Just as the same material elements exist within and outside of all material bodies, similarly, I cannot be covered by anything else. I exist within everything as the Supersoul and outside of everything in My all-pervading feature." (Bhag.11.15.35-36)

  • "Know that all opulent, beautiful and glorious creations spring from but a spark of My splendour. But what need is there, Arjuna, for all this detailed knowledge? With a single fragment of Myself I pervade and support this entire universe." (Bg.10:41-42)

  • Jambavan also says to Lord Krsna,"You are the ultimate creator of all creators of the universe, and of everything created You are the underlying substance. You are the subduer of all subduers, the Supreme Lord and Supreme Soul of all souls." (Bhag.10.56.27)

Because Krsna is the source of everything,it is not possible for others to determine His origin. "Neither the hosts of demigods nor the great sages know My origin, for, in every respect, I am the source of the demigods and sages."(Bg.10.2)

  • In Brahma's prayers to Lord Krishna, in a later portion of the Bhagavatam, He continues to explain, "Are You not the original Narayana, O supreme controller, since You are the Soul of every embodied being and the eternal witness of all created realms? Indeed, Lord Narayana [Maha-Vishnu] is your expansion, and He is called Narayana because He is the generating source of the primeval water of the universe. He is real, not a product of Your illusory Maya." (Bhag.10.14.14)

  • The verse below explains all the vishnu tattva avatars mentioned in the vedic literature but Krsna is the source of them all. The srimad bhagavatam is the essence of vedic literature and there is nothing higher then the bhagavatam. So I hope this helps.

  • Excellent video!!!

    जय हि्न्द। हिन्दु धर्म सर्वॊत्तम धर्म है।

  • Why does Hinduism believe that Jesus and Krishna are one, The same with Allah or Yahweh,How did the Hindu practice of tolerence begin, Thanks.

  • Hindus do not believe god will come to earth at the end of the world, the pure athma or soul will be one with the god and for the sinfull athma will be send to hell. God can do anything without moving from places to places.

  • actually Lord Krsna comes as Kalki at the end of Kaliyuga. In the vedic literature bhakti is the essence. With Bhakti you dont become "one" with God, you are an eternel servent. We are eternelly seperate from God. If we want to understand vedic culture we have to understand it through guru sadhu and sastra via a bonafide sampradaya mentioned in the sastras.

  • good video

  • please check this video out.

    watch?v=HbPspkmUoYA

  • good video

  • this is just super...wow!!!! hindu dharm is so cool

  • Religion is not about just worshiping God but worship the true God who created us, what is the point in worshiping a God who could not be there on the Day of Judgment to look into good and bad deeds. Just a question.

Every soul will experience death, and you will be given your recompense in full on the Day of Resurrection. The one who is saved from Hellfire and admitted into Paradise will be truly victorious. And what is the life of this world except a deceptive enjoyment. [Al-Qur'an 3:185]

  • So do u mean that Islam's God is the only true God and all other religions are worshipping a false God?

If yes, then don't you think it is your EGO who is speaking?

Islam is peaceful and tolerant right?

  • anticonversion

Yes absolutely. The reason is God is one, if you are a Hindu then everything is god, and God is everywhere that we don't believe, so I think I will be wasting my time with you. If you want to take part in an intelligent and logical argument then we can talk about it.

Islam is peaceful and tolerant 100% unless if you quote something out of context.

There is no compulsion in religion.

  • Did u know that Hindus tolerate everyone else coz they believe that every person can approach God in their own way?

I personally think that most Muslims have a superiority complex and think that all non-muslims will go to hell...

Al though there are some intelligent Muslims...I personally love th Sufi saints and the Sufi are almost the same as the Hindus os the Bhakti Marg (path)...

  • anticonversion

Did u know that Hindus tolerate

I am not saying this revelation is saying this, you can believe anything you want but it won't take you to paradise. Islam means total submission to the will of God, if you worship other gods, you are doomed.

Islam is peaceful and tolerant until you oppress and occupy. You are just ignorant, just because somebody is a Muslim he can't go to paradise, he has to worship and obey God. If Sufis worship idols they go to hell too.

  • voiceofreasoning - u have no true reasoning but only have one eyed Muslim reasoning bcoz all tht u r saying only shows how narrow minded u are. U r basically saying tht whoever doesn't follow "your" religion, Shia or SUnni or whatver Muslim u r, goes to hell and whoever follows ur religion goes to paradise.

  • Hinduism says, that be it Muslim, Christian or a Buddhist, if one follows their religion in "true ardent spirit" then one goes to paradise but not for following it dogmatically with an egoistic misinterpretation. I know that all of this just means Jackshit to u, coz u cannot decipher such a broad thinking, can u?

  • But if a temple is gone then people change aswell. Although recently been learning more about hinduism it's fascinating, more of a way of life than a religion and interesting to learn but still feel that our people may not see it that way, they can say it but are easy change or to kill anyone who burns a temple or steals from a holy place specially one that's muslim. It's funny how outsiders can understand our hinduism more than most my family.

  • U may be right towards the actions of some people but it will be a big generalisation to label it on all Hindus. Also the reason for why u find that sometimes outsiders can understand more of Hinduism than most of ur family, is the same with why some people who learn a different language diligently are able to use correct grammar etc than the some natives who use their own slang!! I hope it makes sense!

  • So whats your saying is Hindus and Buddhist are going to hell? Nice peaceful religion you got there man! Two peaceful religoins that don't even eat meat are going to hell wow your religion is totally right..lmao.

  • voiceofreasoning

... can u show me ONE person, who has gone to HEAVEN and come back to tell YOU there is one . ??

  • voiceofreasoning

can u show me ONE person, who has gone to HEAVEN and come back to tell YOU there is one . ??

  • Soul has no death, it has no birth. Soul is immortal. It takes different bodies after the destruction of current manifestation. It is very similar to God that way. Going back to God and joining our soul to His, by doing His service should be the ultimate aim.

There is no "Judgement Day". Everyday is a judgement. Your Karma gets manipulated according to your deeds. Have you not heard- "What you sow, so you reap"? God bless.

  • very informative! I don't follow your beliefes but its good to understand and learn about each other. Thank you for sharing and may God give us all guidence.

  • Thanks for sharing. though i do not share your belief I think this is a nice way to describe your religion. Thank you. 5*s and in my favorites

  • You are an open minded Muslim...I like! God/Allah/Ram/Jeovah bless you!

  • Thanks! you are doing an excellent job at presenting your religion

  • Nameste: You are doing an excellent job at presenting your religion. I believe that we should present our ideas and then let people decide what they want to do. The interesting part about Hinduism is that it recognizes other religions :) As you know Islam does recognize that prophets were sent to other regions that is something we are similar in. I look forward to watching more of your videos!

  • That's true! and Hindus believe that all religions are like different rivers that merge with the sea (God) in the end in their own ways...SO we believe that one should follow the religion in the right spirit and there is no need of conversion but only wisdom is needed to follow the religion in the right spirit.

  • Good words. I recall when I got dissatisfied with Christianity I also looked in Hinduism and the fact that Hinduism is very tolerant to other religions and has a bigger view of others believes :)

  • Hindu Dharma = 100% TRUTH

Hindu Dharma is MOST tolerant and SECULAR

Unfortunately, this tolerant and respectful nature of Hinduism has been exploited by cunning Christianity and Jihadic Islam. What a pity!

  • Crazy folks!

  • does that particular symbol at the end of this presentation mean hindu, or Deva, cause I'm doing a report on Hanuman, and I cannot interpret that symbol no matter what I look up :C

  • That is the symbol of "Om". Google up "Om, Hindu" and you will find what it means. It is the eternal cosmic sound.

  • what is that song? Can I download it?

  • Where's the proof for this view of Hinduism?

  • The proof is in the Vedic scriptures and the Bhagavad Gita. The wise have interpreted it correctly.

  • And who gets to decide what the correct interpretation is, hm?

  • A self-realised Master/Guru or your own inner voice of discrimination when it is heard through pure devotion and deep meditation for the almighty God. I read the book by Paramahansa Yogananda - named, "God talks with Arjuna" and it is a translation and commentary of the Bhagavad Gita. If you would like to know more about Hinduism then I would suggest you to read the interpretation of such self-realised Masters/Gurus.

  • "Self-realized." Hah, that's all I needed to hear.

You'll find lots of Hindus who disagree with this retro-interpretation of Hinduism.

  • Just as a lot of Christians would disagree with there being a Mother Mary and other topics.

  • Yeah, but it doesn't mean any of them have any legitimate claim to ultimate authority.

  • I suppose the proof is in the pudding! Dec 2007 "Elephant-faced Lord invites family back into Hinduism through a miraculous act of Grace"George Kurien, former Christian says "Lord Ganesha heard my Prayers".He wept freely as he explained this momentous turning point in his family's life. "I surrendered before Him. He heard my prayers and helped my entire family."George, who once attended a Syrian Orthodox seminary, has become the custodian of a Ganesha temple. Jai Shree Ganesh! Har Har Mahadev!

  • None ot the things that deal with "FAITH" have any legitimate claim on the ultimate authority and hence it is being an ignoramus to say I am right you are wrong if everything is just depends on FAITH. The experience of an individual is the only factor that makes him/her have that FAITH; nothing that another person says wud help divert the believer from his/her faith is one has the full conviction that what he/she believes in is the truth. Hence Gandhi n other great thinkers negated conversion.

  • amazing .... very very commendable job done...

  • wonderful video.... bhagavadgeetha, is one of the best example for the hinduism...

  • Keep in mind. There are two groups of Hindus. One group believes you can pray to the One God by many idols, and the other group believes you can pray to the One God, without idols or many idols, but only to the One God by meditation.

  • sorry, we hindus don't have 2 groups its just one "HINDUS" thats it. About what you said that is pretty much personal choice to help with meditation or to think of god, it doesn't divide hindus in 2. They don't go around and say hey i belong to the non idol hindu or what ever you are saying.

  • tom, worshipping through idols is a personal choice in Sanathan Dharma which works well when done with proper understanding. Worshipping through Idols is definitely not a requirement though. Also, there is a distinction between "worshipping through Idols" and "idol worship". Worshipping through Idols is sanctioned in Sanathan Dharma, whereas Idol Worship is not.

Please watch "Worshipping through Idols vs Idol Worship" - it's awesome. Swami Nithyananada shares one of his amazing experiences.

  • GOOD collection, ur effort is appriciated.

  • There is no conversion in the so-called Hinduism. If u r a free thinking person, and respect every ones freedom, U r already Hindu . U could call it UNCONVERTING or setting ones self FREE from the cage called RELIGION. Start Thinking u will become a HINDU

  • There is no conversion in the so-called Hinduism. If u r a free thinking person, and respect every ones freedom, U r already Hindu . U could call it UNCONVERTING or setting ones self FREE from the cage called RELIGION, start thinking ... and u will become a HINDU :)
