How To Change App Icons Using Cydia!

Xcellent vid, but i am having a problem with changing an icon within a theme. I changed the file name and replaced it in the theme icon folder but the old icon is still on my spring board. Any suggestions?

Just one thing.

Instead of making the icons in the ipod, I think its easier to make them with paint or whatever you wanna use, in the computer, and then using WINSCP you just drag them into those folders you talked about

@TheAppodTouch hey man you have a great video and it helped a lot to make sense of what I was doing but when I click generate Icon it takes me to the IconMaker section of iFile like its supposed to but it only shows the themes folder...not an actual icon file :( and to make matters worse when I clicked on the Applications folder to try and find where to save the file if it had shown one......all the titles of the subfolders were in jibberish and didnt have actual application names in their title

 'send deleted files to trash' enabled? if so go into the trash and make sure you didnt delete something you need... good luck

@fingerboardmaster22 @MissAlex1310 im not sure what happened honestly, make sure that you deleted all of the original icon (some icons have a 'glow' background, etc.) also if you haven't, delete the new icon that is displaying white and try another icon, maybe the original.

@iFindTweaks well if you deleted it from ifile already, you may be able to check your trash in iFile and see if it (the icon you deleted) is there . if not you can repeat the process but find the original gamecenter icon on the internet (which shouldnt be that hard to do) and use it.

@TheRubiksUniverse it means to reset springboard. if you have sbsettings or winterboard there are options to respring there, or you can just power off you device completely and then turn it back on

@grow2prosper i do not use themes, the apps that make up my SB are

-iconoclasm (for the number of apps per row)

-gridlock (for the icons to be placed anywhere on the SB)

-Masks (for the faded icons)

-Bigify (for the size of the icons and the slight tilt to them)

-Springtomize (for the colored status bar and much more)

-barrel (for the cool effect when you flip the page)

-and then i can just change the icon so it looks like a theme

@reddust5 if you want to reset the icon, either check your trash in ifile and try to find the original icon there, and repeat the rest of the process,,, or go on the internet and find the icon for what your are looking for and continue the process from there :)
