Some people bitch about how great of equipment jeff has well let me tell you something ive seen countless times at racetracks that jeff would be terrible all weekend till the race came along how to you describe that great equipment or talent? I'd say incredible talent. Jeff learned from Earnhardt on the plate tracks just following him during the race.Bliss use to drive hendrick cars and still ran like shit. I heard Gordon popped his ass one too after chicago in 05!
Jeff made a ridiculous run to win this thing. How many plate track wins do they miss Gordon making the winning pass at? It seems like just about every time it happens and it drives me nuts!
it pisses me off too...but i'll let this one slide. Honestly this really isn't even a race. The real race is to see who gets in the 500. But the Talladega one (1st COT plate race) is inexcusable!!! C'mon who gives a F#$% about 10th place.
@mrps3fan I KNOW!!!! I WAS THERE IN TALLY!!!! I saw Gordon win with my own two eyes. The "10th place" comment comes from this vid (daytona duel race). When Gordon is making the winning pass the camera is focused on the 10th place cars (b/c the real race is who gets in the 500). Me and CowboysForever81 are simply saying that its bullshit the camera's don't capture the winning move.
i was watchin race like "HELLO? WTF GUYS? Jeff Gordon just passed like 5 cars on the last lap and ur worried about people that will waste a position in the daytona 500."
lol...the 17 didn't get out of the way, jeff gordon faked the socks outta kenseth...if you look carefully, gordon makes a slight fake to the inside, and kenseth thought he was gonna get a push from gordon i f he stayed low...what a move!
Jr.'s one hell of a driver too. It's just sometimes when he's in position to win the race, he ends up getting something to go wrong. His winless streak should be over by now. He should've won at Richmond. He made one hell of a comeback in the Coke 600 though.
Jimmie"cheater, user,no talent"Johnson. A spoiled brat. Just like most drivers from 2000-present. New fans need to pull there heads outta there asses and realize he just looks good in front of the camera. He doesn't give a shit about his fans.
Dude, he was trying to repeat what the anouncer said because he thought it was funny. I think he knows that this isn't the Daytona 500. Would've been a sweet finish if it was though.
i dont think richard petty is as good as everyone says he is. he came around at a time when there was really no one to compete with, not much competition. and when there was, he lost the majority of the races against them. like david pearson. he got good racing them, but not as good as everone says. dont get me wrong, he is good
Nobody will catch Richard in the catagory of wins . Nobody will catch Jeff on the track! LOL! So I guess your right. Stewart and Jr. are good drivers though. You gotta admit.
Yeah but with DW at least he aint like the idiots in all the other TV guys who air NASCAR races, DW actually knows the shit when your racing. Rusty Wallace isn't good for TV and DJ I guess is ok but I never seen him do coverage before so idk bout him. Bottom line, DW owns. Plus, hes an oldschool racer where it was move or be moved, something that todays NASCAR severely lacks.
It should be simple for the Daytona 500. I know someone already mentioned this, but they said it should be for every race. I think it should only be for the Daytona 500. They need to change it to that way, because there's guys who just can't afford to get their Daytona 500 car taken out.
This was the second year in a row Mike Wallace got into the Daytona 500 by luck. He didn't deserve to be in the 500 in those years.

why did the 17 got out of the way of the 24?

Because the right side of Matt's car would've been a pancake in the wall, 'cause he wasn't clear of Jeff.

Wait, never mind. I'm stupid. I think Matt was trying to make a move on Kurt, and Kurt was thinking about the #24, and just never saw Jeff.

It does, that wasn't even his fault either. At least he finished well in the race though.

Marlin had to beat Mike Wallace in order for Mayfield to get in, and he didn't.

Oh. I thought the green car behind Kyle Busch was Mayfield, but it was J.J Yeley instead.

It should be simple for the Daytona 500. I know someone already mentioned this, but they said it should be for every race. I think it should only be for the Daytona 500.
