We in our University learned about Charice when we read a nice ARTICLE written by Ms. Lovely Soul. Ms. LS is young, college student and can really reach the mainstream American including other countries like South America and Europe. Ms. Lovely Soul's written articles are true convictions of her admiration for Charice.And she is only 18 yrs. old. Where is she???
There should be a good American Writer who should write about Charice and reach out to mainstream America. A Writer who could reach American/Latin, Blacks and American/European. YouTube can not really serve all. Not everyone will bother to check YT.

Not really i listen to every kind of music asian music esp korea (kpop) is spreading everywhere not just in my country EVERYWHERE if you search their artists we will see articals about them is alot of languages if you're not femilar with asian music don't judg them and if you are then you're tast in music is different

Actually I do listen to Asian music so you should not judge someone without knowing them, have u seen my channel? Like most of the music vids in my favs are Asian. Kpop, Jpop are only really big in Asia. They have small followings outside of Asia but it is still not as popular as deluded fans would like to think. (not saying you're one of them lol)
Plus it's just a matter of opinion. You think Asian music is the best, that doesn't mean it is. I think European music is the best, that doesn't mean it is either. But don't get me wrong, I loooove Asian music, but none of it is really original or innovative. And a lot of European writers write songs for Asian artists. Especially Johnnys =P

i have to agree that it is a cheap trick at the expense of charice's fans and i think charice knows about this. only 5 mins after charice twitted that the single will not be released until next week, this -zRG7n_qhtI came out and it wasn't charice but a demo. after only 15 min of the yt video being released, david jassy (composer of pyramid) twitted that it wasn't charice on the yt video but that every good thing is worth the wait. that's ok if they're not playing with our minds.

no one's blaming charice--i am concerned enough to give a constructive criticism. she announced over and over that her first single will be released THE FIRST of the month. if anything, her manager should have advised her not to do that if they were not even sure of the date. see, i am concerned about her credibility this early on. her handlers should know better than this.

Charice Int'l. album will be released in Asia this January, I guess and it will incl. the song Fingerprint and Reset with Taglish bridge of the song. And then, Europe will have it in Feb. (fingerprint not incl.) and finally in March on Ophra,I guess, for USA/North America launching. If somebody disagree, please correct me. I came to this conclusion by gathering bits and pieces of the puzzle from myriads of discusions, tv blogs, interviews of Charice, David and others. Hope I'm not mistaken.

Charice has yet to sing a hit song that would make her a household name. This song would not cut it because there's too much belting and it's not soothing to hear.
You obviously haven't heard Jennifer Hudson's And I Am Telling You... Too much belting yet became a big hit... There are many current American Pop Hits that resembles this style... I think it will fit her perfectly... Can't wait to hear the final version.
i think the marketing plan is good, they introduced her single " note to god" thru the Oprah show, then they expanded her fan base thru DF and other concert tours, then included her in the very special christmas 7 album with other stars and scheduled her first musicvid in time or right after the worldwide release of the chipmunks2 movie, which they expect will generate more worldwide attention for charice.
neji1954, you are right. Her management was waiting for the right timing. I think this is the reason why the album's release was slightly delayed. Her duet with David A. was also intended to expand her fanbase with the younger set. Also, the "Skate for the Heart" where Charice is an invited singer will be broadcast in the US in January 2010.
There is no doubt that Charice is being built-up in an image different from her contemporaries but they are careful to select songs that suits her unique voice and so far, Note to God is a good song but still many are still waiting for something indefinable. I think Charice has proven herself by having that unique voice to be able to go where others dare not. For myself ,she can sing anything and I am already satisfied because I know that so few others can do it as she has..

To the Charice fans(like me): Kayo naman, don't waste your time replying to the haters. You can never change their hates towards Charice. Kahit anong gawin nyong pagsagot. It would be better just to ignore them, they're not worth our bother. Most of these Charice haters are fans of Banig, Regine, and Sarah. I know, I had a online confrontation with few of them. And definitely not worth it. So cool lang kayo. Charice is doing super fine.

i have to agree that it is a cheap trick at the expense of charice's fans and i think charice knows about this. only 5 mins after charice twitted that the single will not be released until next week, this -zRG7n_qhtI came out and it wasn't charice but a demo. after only 15 min of the yt video being released, david jassy (composer of pyramid) twitted that it wasn't charice on the yt video but that every good thing is worth the wait. that's ok if they're not playing with our minds.

no one's blaming charice--i am concerned enough to give a constructive criticism. she announced over and over that her first single will be released THE FIRST of the month. if anything, her manager should have advised her not to do that if they were not even sure of the date. see, i am concerned about her credibility this early on. her handlers should know better than this.

nope, it's not going to be out today. they're making lots of people upset. even charice's mom doesn't know when it'll be out. it may not even be released until the middle of the month. they should just let david jassy give us a preview since he wrote and produced "pyramid." check out his myspace page and we might get more info from that site. it's bad that charice kept mentioning jan. 1 without really being sure about the release of her own song...oh well....

@007chey - yes the other races will buy it too, you should have seen how non-pinoys stood in ovation in every concert shows she had in the U.S.. and canada... they were impressed, very very touched. and mind you, all the concert audience more than half are non-pinoys. isnt that great?

So Pyramid, is due to come out soon. Honestly, my fellow Charice fans kinakabahan ako. Do you all know Boa (Korean singer)? She tried to break in the US music industry with the song "Eat you up" earlier this year I think,she's pretty and everything. Her album was already released, geared toward younger audiences also. Anyway, she didn't make it so I guess she's back in Korea or Japan. I hope Charice will succeed to enter the US mainstream. But whether she makes it or not, she's already .....

Charice Int'l. album will be released in Asia this January, I guess and it will incl. the song Fingerprint and Reset with Taglish bridge of the song. And then, Europe will have it in Feb. (fingerprint not incl.) and finally in March on Ophra,I guess, for USA/North America launching. If somebody disagree, please correct me. I came to this conclusion by gathering bits and pieces of the puzzle from myriads of discusions, tv blogs, interviews of Charice, David and others. Hope I'm not mistaken.

Charice has yet to sing a hit song that would make her a household name. This song would not cut it because there's too much belting and it's not soothing to hear.

i think the marketing plan is good, they introduced her single " note to god" thru the Oprah show, then they expanded her fan base thru DF and other concert tours, then included her in the very special christmas 7 album with other stars and scheduled her first musicvid in time or right after the worldwide release of the chipmunks2 movie, which they expect will generate more worldwide attention for charice.

neji1954, you are right. Her management was waiting for the right timing. I think this is the reason why the album's release was slightly delayed. Her duet with David A. was also intended to expand her fanbase with the younger set. Also, the "Skate for the Heart" where Charice is an invited singer will be broadcast in the US in January 2010.

There is no doubt that Charice is being built-up in an image different from her contemporaries but they are careful to select songs that suits her unique voice and so far, Note to God is a good song but still many are still waiting for something indefinable. I think Charice has proven herself by having that unique voice to be able to go where others dare not. For myself ,she can sing anything and I am already satisfied because I know that so few others can do it as she has..

Let's not forget that Kelly Clarkson was not that popular at first until she came out w/ her second album. It's really hard to find the perfect song for anybody. It has to be well thought-of.
