If you mean ATI, well then the best card they have is the radeon hd 4870x2. It's expensive at around $500. If you want good performance for cheaper I would suggest running two 4850's in crossfiere. This will have a total value of $300. Which is a really good deal for the performance you get. But if your obsessed with Crysis I should let you know Nvidia is optimized for it.

well man I don't think so... I got GF 8600GTS and I was able to play Crisis at medium settings (1024 x 768) and the game run smoothly... When I set everythig to high it runs smoothly till you run into enemy...then FPS goes quiet low... I got Win. XP; 2GB RAM; AMD dual Core (2,7 GHz) and as I already said GF 8600 GTS...so I think you don't have a shot with very high settings....

well it depends a lot on your procesor and RAM, but I recommend you to set your own details...Well textures should be always High (or atleast medium), because on low it's not very nice really. But some of the settings you won't even notice the different between high-medium (sometimes even low-medium)e.g. soft shadows or post-process...If physic is set to low - you can destroy nothing, but med. and high are almost the same...just try it on your own and you'll see.

I run on my HD3870X2 crysis on high 1680x1050 about 40-45 fps, e8400 3.0ghz, 4gb 800mhz ram, intel x38 mb; with that config you maybe be able to run crysis on very high at 1280x1024 about 30 fps, but maybe...(try on 1024x768 too)

You don't have to pay a lot to get a decent Core 2 Duo. Buy a E4600 - that was AUD $129 for me and it's serving me well so far. If not, buy a E2xxx.

well if the game sussports dx 10.1, ati is better, but if the games sussport only dx 10, GT is better, atm all games sussport only dx10, except ati pingpong and assassins creed, the patch is coming to sussport dx 10.1 so it's up to you atm, personaly i have 8800 Gts 512 gddr3 and i'm very happy.
