It's bad enough that this series deviates so extremely from legends of King Arthur, with Uther Pendragon alive during Arthur's childhood, forever changing his coming to the throne, and Merlin being young-looking rather than very old from his backwards aging, but suggesting that the two would ever be homosexual is absurd. The times would never stand for it, and they'd be killed if it were true, but they won't because it is not. Want homosexual sorcerers? Look up Albus Dumbledoor.

(Also an already existing variation, blame Sir Thomas Malory and others.)
Merlin is the prequel to the more famous legends, and as you've probably noticed, it tries to lead to the same future/famous plot twists yet keeps the narrative liberty now.

This doesn't remind me of King Arthur and Merlin. You know what it does remind me of? Harry Potter. Smallville all over again.

Fact of the matter is that Smallville started off, in my opinion, as a great show. I mean it was the origins of Superman; what wasn't to like. However, much like Harry Potter, as the series went on, the plot and story development and the action was all replaced by convoluted storylines and excessive character relationship drama. In short, it all sucks now.
Also, the Merlin's 'backward aging' that you mentioned is, from what I know, a rather new retelling of the story; T.H.White's book series from the first half of the 20th century.
Funny thing is if Merlin and Arthur confessed their love for each other to Uther thats exactly what he would do XD He'd say Merlin is a sorcerer who bewitched his son and burn him at the stake...Ah Uther...When will you see the truth? Merlin and Arthur are just meant to be together ^__^

Thank you! I can't promise anything, but I do feel tempted to make the full version as well.
I have selected the clips (~15 min in total) and put them in 'the 'right' order, but the more I watch them the more I think they're in need of overhauling. (I haven't even started with the serious editing yet.) So I still have to see what I'll do...

I love the fact that Morgana's a secret fangirl! After that night in Ealdor, when she and Gwen were talking about how much Arthur cares about Merlin, that's exactly what I thought! (And of course, in MY head, Gwen and Morgana are together, too...)

Arg! People kept interrupting and I couldn't hear and had to rewind like five times! But it was so good it didn't matter ^^. The fabbyness! And Uther! XD! And the dragon! I completely collapsed when he just randomly chuckled. Love it.
