  • Etymology

    A borrowing of Ancient Greek (empatheia), literally passion feeling, coined by Rudolf Lotze to translate German Einfühlung. The modern Greek word has an opposite meaning denoting strong negative feelings and prejudice against someone.

    If the OPPOSITE is prejudice against someone, then empathy is prejudice FOR someone. This is BIAS. This is NOT what an impartial judge is supposed to be, Having a judge who is passionate about one side or the other is plain wrong
