  • i've had a night terror once, your not just trapped in a nightmare... your trapped... in pure hell when i wake up i hear a demonic laugh, what should i do?

  • I have suffered from sleep paralysis and night terrors all my life. Nothing really helps & if I do find something that helps it doesn't last, they always come back. For a few yrs now I have struggled with myself, trying to convince myself they are scientifically explained & Not some supernatural entity trying to do something to me. I just can't quite shake the feeling that there's some 'thing' around me causing this. It's a terrifying feeling, not being able to move, to fight back or even breath

  • This is totally driven from the demonic realm. This experience happened to me when I was 16 years of age. Everything locked, I could not speak or think freely... I knew there was an evil presence, something that wanted to steal the life within me! I knew saying the name of Jesus would set this evil fleeing! It took everything within me to get it out, but this darkness instantly lifted! Knowing Jesus is the answer to being set free from evil oppression, as Jesus is the ONLY one that evil fears!

  • This is NOT night terrors. This is sleep paralysis. They are often confused, but very different.

  • I saw something terrifying one night hovering above me in bed. I'd never heard of the "Old Hag". I only learned of it after looking online to see if anyone else shared my experience, and after seeing pictures it was really unsettling because it's exactly what I saw: Old face, long scraggly hair, glowing eyes and hands with long, sharp fingernails extended toward me, and a horrible expression on it's face. I wasn't asleep or paralyzed. I think the explanation is paranormal, not scientific.

  • night terror is different than sleep paralysis. An adult suffering from night terror would have no knowledge of the episode from the previous night as night terrors do not occur in dream state but rather the third and fourth stategs of the sleep cycle before REM. A primary response to night terrors in children is to turn the light on so as to not confuse them with what is real versus what is perceived. Sleeping with the light on or during the day for adults may provide a like effect.

  • i couldn't yell for help or move, i was still in my nightmare?

i wanted to run i wanted to see what is was i wanted to scream.

i never seen such things as those things you see in the night terror, there in my brain? i knew somthing was there, they tried to deny it, they said nothing is there your ok, no it's still there, looking at me!!

i had these night terrors that had nothing to do with daily life, they showed me horrible things, it's almost as if the dream is flashing.

  • no, i get it at all times but i have never felt any pressure on my chest or had difficulty breathing, i just can't move and i feel like there's something in the room with me. i even feel the bed moving as if someone is walking around me but i can't turn to look at it

  • @Teeliz exact fudging thing happened to me... creepy

  • I have found they don't happen if you sleep during the daytime. That's why I'm typing now. I feel evil spirits around me at night, and when I sleep I have night terrors. During the daytime, no problem at all and I sleep like a baby. Has anyone else noticed that sleep during the day eliminates the issue?

  • lol i found out for me it doesn't happen as bad if I sleep on my side, but ya the day time is the best option, for sleep paralysis ,or night terrors, but even when I sleep on my side i steel feel that stupid scary presents in the room like somthing beyond scary is in the coner of my room like that scary chick from the excorcist.lol am never sleeping during the night

  • o o ok well im not saying that u dont have night terrors im oretty sure u do. mabey your house is haunted or something. or does this only happen to you.

  • @Californianboy626 same but paranormal activity style

  • ive had it too many times to count as a child. and i do remember them, well most of them.

  • Its called sleeping paralysis, its well documented. type ''sleeping paralysis'' in the search bar and see what comes back on the tube.

I get this from time to time, I often wake (often cause iv slept in a painful angle) and cant move. what works for me is moving just 1 arm as hard as I can, then I come out of the paralysis. the visions or ''hag'' is just your brain still being in the REM stage of sleeping. (sounds odd but look it up).

  • demons are among us

  • Ive had this 5 times in my life. The first epidsode started when i was about 14. Im 22 now... and sadly... I believe I have many more to come.

Mine are horrific and very violent. The last one I had was 3 months ago. I was screaming my lungs out and thrashing around on the floor. I have no idea what I was dreaming about. But it was FRIGHTENING.

When I recovered, I had a black eye, a bloody hand and a broken nose.

I wish i knew how to stop them.

  • i get them and its fucking harsh, i get thrown around the room by a force, feels like a dark presence, im fucking screaming until someone wakes me up

  • the night before last night i was asleep and then i woke up. I saw a silhouette next to my bed. he was pointing at me. I tried to move and couldnt. Then I remembered that youre supposed to move your pinky toe or finger during a night terror. didnt work. then the silhouette dissappeared. I was freaked out

  • what if your night terror is a male entity who calls himself cecil.

  • ive been suffer this every night since i was 13 and im 23

  • I'm 29 and I've been suffering from night terrors for as long as I can remember. I have them at least once a month. I also suffer from sleep apnia and sleep paralysis. The terrors are the worst. I've hit my wife in the face before thinking she was something trying to kill me. I wake up screaming, shaking, punching, and kicking. They're horrible.

  • i feel your pain

  • If you only knew...

  • I do know, Ive had them...

  • No, what I mean is, if you only knew how in depth and detailed they are. The sleep paralysis is the worst. Something is coming after you and you can't move. And when you can you run around screaming and crying because you know that what you saw was real, but everyone else knows you were asleep. I've run into the other room into my wifes arms shivering and screaming because I was so scared, and I'm a 30 year old man with 2 kids.

  • 2 weeks ago or something i sat up in my bed looked at the window and started seeing people float up through the air (i think cause i can't remember fully) and started saying "oh look it's god (that's what my dad said i did) so yah and it feels weird and one time i had night terrors i wake up screaming and yelling "Are you trying to kill me!!" it sucks. it is not even close to nightmares it's so much worse

  • I cant sleep becuase I am watching my little cousin and he has night terrors ans stuff. Last night he sat up from the bed looking at the closet and started yelling noooo repedatley. I yelled to wake him up but he would not snap out of it. so finally i had to to shake him. This morning was worse, he got on the edge of my brothers bed shook my brothers foot with one hand then with the other pointed at the celing and was repeating the words hell, until one again we shook him untill he woke up.

  • when i was a child I had them terrible. Scariest moments of my life. There was always a feeling that preceeded the night terror making me afraid to fall asleep. I have always wanted to talk to somone about this and see if they had had similar experiences. Also they happened whenever I was febrile and sometimes normal temp. I want to know has anyone experienced the aura that comes before the night terror. In anticipation-B

  • I realy feel for people with this. I had a night terror once and diahorrea'd myself. It wasn't a nice experience at all.

  • i have had this all my life aswell but it does not happand to me all the time i did see a dark shadow with a box at my door what i do is i hear the radio to relax me or have something dark cover my eyes and when i cant move and my eyes are open i dont move and just close my eyes again to dream of something good thats all i do!

  • I wonder if having background music would work with others, in a way it would help keep you grounded as such when you are in that situation..

  • it could work i do hear new talk 1010 sometimes to relax me as well when i am in this dream i can still here the radio so i dont feel alone yea it could keep them grounded.

  • Worth a try, anything to help maybe get a little sense of reality whilst all this is going on would be worth a try!

  • well i wish you the best of luck and good luck i hope it works GOOD LUCK!!!

  • don't worry

first of all what is most imporant is that sp is a sleep disorder not a release, and actually it's quite related with artistic nature... i know it's a very frightening experience but you can also learn from it... a healthy night schedule will help

  • well thankyou i think i am at peace with it for now but thanks

  • You are more than welcome. This is a fightening disorder that many suffer and endure. Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to let others know they are not alone there are others who suffer from this, and that help and understanding is available.

    The Esotric Team xxx

  • Thanks also to the radio station for your gentleness and for letting know people that sp is something that we have to face and to learn from.
