This movie was about 5 yrs late....it would have been a block bluster had it been released when movies like these were the in thing...in the late nineties....but it came out when movies like dil chahta hai, lagaan were the norm...wrong timing...

I totally agree.. 2002 was not a good year for this movie considering there were more interesting movies in that year. Devdas, Raaz, Hum Tumhare Hain Sanam, Humraaz etc. were far more interesting. I personally also liked "Shakti" cus of the good drama. That film was not rly a hit either.

@maburna It's just that these day, in many areas outside of India (and even some areas in the country) , Indian parents don't seem to care if their daughters lose their culture. I know plenty of Punjabi, Sikh girls that are still (but a little less) conservative. But almost every other Indian girls I know seem to have conformed into their typical environment. It's clear even in the Bollywood movies these days, too. It's quite sad.
