  • Whoa. At the beginning of this, that signal looks a little lopsided with the other lights on the upper left side of it.

  • broken e-bell

  • Those are WCH E-bells, there speed can be adjusted from dong......dong......dong to dongdongdong to dodododod to dddddddd. Aparrently sombody went up on a ladder and changed the speed.

  • Sour e bells. Horrible sound.

  • you need too delete today difent bells are going off on it

  • what was the malfunction

  • @storm24awesome The crossing should be going "Dong dong dong dong dong" not "Dong... Dong... Dong..." It shoud be ringing about three times faster.

  • ya well the railroad crossing bell might be broken tho

  • @TrainTrackTrav If those are the new safetran bells, They're supposed to ring like that. We have some down south that do the same exact thing

  • Nice old Griswold signals, with some modern touches!

That electronic bell certainly sounds fouled. Thus it appears to need replacement of its own!

  • nice

  • Thank goodness for our commuter rail system in Chicago, keeping tradition on their signals. When a Mechanical bell goes dead, it is replaced by ANOTHER mechanical bell. WCH still makes M-bells, whoo-hoo!!

  • I LOVE Union Pacific's yellow paint scheme!!!!!!! BTW, nice lash up on the ES44AC and the SD70ACe!!!

  • CSX is the most copyed railroad in here

  • it seems too me that UP Rail Is Needed To Put A Work Oder ASAP On That Grade Crossing, And BTW The E Bells There Not That Bad On UP Rail At Waco Sub With The LED Light And Also On The BNSF Rail Road I Haven't Seen Nothing worng but if i did I'll Reported It, It's No Problem the had to replace all the old grade crossing from the BNSF And UP Rail To The LED Lighting......

  • LED signals suck at least up in Illinois cause the hood around the light gets covered with snow an then people cant tell if its activated or not

  • although the led signals are great improvement those e-bells are peices of crap. its hard to hear the engine itself cause of them. i much prefer the old one

  • Me too! I miss the ding ding ding ding ding of the mechanical bell. I'm not a fan the theese E-bell, BONG BONG BONG BONG BONG, they sure aren't railfan ear freindly!

  • @TrainTrackTrav agreed, the crossing I do on 45th have good bells, im trying to enjoy and get as much recordings done to get the best sound, b4 they get replaced, they already replaced the ones on elm, like 2 years ago

  • @WARD5KUSTOMZ they do kind of suck. why are the railroads replacing these with the old ones? noise polution?

  • @ktrain2008 I'm not sure. probably just modernization.

  • @ktrain2008 It is because of simply what the bells are, M is do mechanically and E is done Electronically. So with the speaker in the E bell it should have less chances of dieing, tho M bells sound much better

  • @gregrocks66 agreed. the m bells are better!

  • @ktrain2008 because they last longer

  • i love those bells

  • I hate those E-bells!! you can barely hear them

  • Yaeh, I much prefer the old ones, you can realy hear them.

  • can you be my friend

  • @Jeffwecker81 Why is one bell constantly ringing and the up close signal is like. PONG.............pong....................Pong

  • @BBT609 I have no idea

  • cool video 5*****s

  • Thank you for the high rating. Glad you liked it.

  • how did you know it was the same crew?

  • Because I saw that very train the same morning in Colton.

  • Stupid crossing bell!!!!!I found out CSX installed some of those along my streach of track.

  • They are! The old mechaincal bell were fail safe the this section. With the E-bells, something is bound to go wrong, LIKE THIS!!!!!
