idiot... Steve Clark was a member of Def Leppard (notice spellin) he was literally a guitar legend ... a guitar hero if you will. He had some issues. Killed himself. Tesla wrote a song for him. Beautiful. The riff at the end gives me chills.
To all..... Aside from the obvious lyrics about Steve... Has anyone else ever noticed how all of the guitar parts in this song are very steve clark inspired??
Great comments about Steve. However, I don't think anybody mentioned how much this song fits exactly the theme of Steve's life. To all those who just found out who Steve Clark was, read about him, watch the Def Leppard movie, and then listen to the song again and read the lyrics. It's haunting. Very emotional song.
I was a senior in high school when I heard the radio announce the death of Steve Clark! I cried for days!!! Steve was one of the GREATEST GUITARIST!!! MISS AND LOVE YOU STEVE!!! This coming Jan 8th will be 20 yrs, since Steve's passing!
Unlimited energy sources are out there! But the Big corporations spend millions to ensure that information does not spread to the masses,Get a motor that needs no gas or electric input at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Be the revolution!
I loved this song already. But, the fact that I live in KC, am a huge chiefs fan, and he is rockin an old school chiefs tank tee gives this song 6 stars!!!
I read Tazbabe2's comment...I was just a little put out of their ignorance....Steve Clark was from Def Lep...his death was a sad lose of a wonderful person, who was so sad, so lost...I still miss him and still hurt from his passing...
they befriend during tours and became close when he passed they wrote this song in his honor was never part of telsa jeff interview i read in guitar mag few yrs back
I was at this show!! Thank you for posting! I don't remember who opened? Great sound even though Tommy wasn't there... Just goes to show you what kind of Guitar God Frank is....
who is steve clark was he a part of tesla if you look up the wikipedia on them there is no mention of a steve in their members or former members. and i dont remember hearing of anyone from tesla dying. just wonderin??? Hmmm Confused?
It is truly sad that young people do not know who Steve is. He was by far one of the greatest guitarists in the history of rock music.....his soul poured out of every note he ever played put him miles above any great "technical" guitarist. Taz...search for Def Leppard and watch videos from 1980 to 1987 and you will see how great this guy was.
I was in high school 85-89 when these guys came out with this. I'll never forget the day our local radio station announced Steve was gone- he truly was one of the greats. I haven't really listed to this song in over 15 years, I still get goosebumps.
I was saddened when I first heard of Steve's death. It was such a tragedy. I was in the Marines when his death occured while I was on the navy helicopter carrier in Persian Gulf waiting to fly to Kuwait before the start of Desert Storm.
Wow, nicely shot. Good direction. Considering it wasn't specially lit or blocked out. Good use of wides and close ups. This was Tesla's greatest songs. Thanks for posting.
Ive listened to this song at least 3 or 4 times a day for the past 2 months "and now his life but a shadow of his dreams" the last heavy metal band left standing.......when all was said and done...when the smoke cleared these guys are at the top.....hands down ..
this was dedicated to Steve Clark the late Def Leppard guitarist. Def Leppard and Tesla were really good friends 'cos they toured together a lot. Tesla rocks. This song is amazing. <33
yea i thought it was awesome what they did. steve is a great guitarist and will always be known as one. rip steve. i also like def leppards song white lighting dedicated to steve.
@teslajunkie agreed..... it is a little sad to see Tesla as a foursome. Tommy is missed but not forgotten. Dave, however, has done a splendid job. I think he's brought great a great vibe to the band.
