  • Great build. Needs engine mounts on side to complete the scale. All the haters, need to get off your ass and actually do this yourself and realise this is a really expensive and time consuming exercise, and if you crash the heli it's actually heart breaking because of the effort and MONEY put into it! You've obviously never gotten off 3 channel $50 helicopters. so STFU! This is a maiden flight. I'm sure he is quite good at what he does and just taking it slow for first time flight.

  • I think the clue is in the opening sequence..."first flight...etc".......in other words, testing!.....

  • look you fucking pussy what is the point having a nice hellicopter like that and only flying it like 30cm of the ground!!!

come back to you tube when you have some fucking balls you retard

  • @david12345966 and who the fuck are you bet your playing with 2channel fuck ups and just jealous

  • I think hes trying to be a little too carefull...just fly the damn thing!

  • @Keepa02 any idea how much a fuel heli's costs dickhead

  • "fuck! shouldv put the top on before starting the engines"

  • Great vid, chinook looking amazing! What's with all the people making fun of you for flying so low? In case you weiners didn't know, flying low takes more skill. No disrespect, but quit hatin'.

  • @holyshticantfindanam so true and fuckin hell maybe he's trimming it and evrything first time exspensive heli I UNDERSTAND this maybe costs 1000 bucks

  • fly this higher????

  • is this the original sound ?

  • @music2857 no you have to stand next to it this is a video LOL

  • That was quite the airshow display!!!

  • is that is high as u can go

  • Awesome bit of kit wish u would take it to its limits look forward to seeing that

  • RPG it down lol

  • you could have took it a little higher in the air. or are you to scared?

  • Try put the top section on while the rotors are still spinning.. :p

  • um... I am new to this i have a small helicopter and is wondering if you could give me some advice.

  • sounds like a damn gokart

  • all you so called good flyers cant fly shit, scared to take it high... ive flown only one and i am wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy better than you.

  • I want to see some 3d flying with this thing.

  • It sounds great blades r super fast smooth hover. But does it only go like 3ft.

  • lame... it doesnt go higher than a couple feet! i wanted to see it fly through the air!

  • That piece of shit doesnt even go higher than 3 ft.

  • how to fly that thing is not really good.... nothin' fun...

  • Doesnt excatly sound like the real thing now does it! lol

  • for a second there i thought you were going to attempt to put that hatch on after starting it. lol

  • are we there yet?

  • 1 foot of air like a pro!

  • higher! higher!

  • that is soo stable!

  • They sell these at Hobbyking for $235...

  • @igottalongone You're being sarcastic right?

  • @igottalongone What an idiot you must be. Did you pay for shipping when you made your purchase?

This is why I don't like Youtube. Smokers like you give it a bad name. What kind of comment was that? Hobby King should track your ASS down and sue you for slander you heap of shit.

  • @TooLittleRC

Speaking of "smokers" I'll bet your a dirty "pole smoker"

Thats why "ass" is in all capitals... You enjoy men's ass's on your lip's...

You should change your you-tube name to "TooLittleTimeToLickManButt"

  • @igottalongone First off...You are the one that spoke of asses first in you post that is marked as spam. Now you are fantasizing some gay shit about me once "AGAIN"

I don't know what your dad did to you but it obviously scared(mentally/physically) you for life. First you speak of fingers in asses now smoking poles.??? AHAHAHA...

I think you need to look in the mirror and tell yourself that you ARE the gay one here. Quit thinking about me and move on buddy. Kick rocks, twinkle toes

  • @TooLittleRC hes a dumb ass., thats probably not even a quater of this ones size

  • @felixthemaster1 I know.....The body on this heli is worth more than $235.

  • @TooLittleRC i watched other big scale helis like this and the same dumbass commented the same thing! maybe is works at hobby king and wants us to visit the site :P

  • @felixthemaster1 I doubt he works for them. Did you read his comment about the Asian?

  • @TooLittleRC nop

  • can he fly high??

  • Nice! I was wondering, were could I find one of these and how much it would be worth?

  • Great build. Don't listen to illiterate people make stupid comments about your Chinook. I flew CH-47s for 28 years and have thousands of hours as pilot-in-command. Just to set things straight to the uninformed: the blades overlap and intermesh. A combining gearbox ensures they stay that way. It takes more power to hover than fly in forward flight, so if rc2rotor's machine can hover, which it clearly does, it could very well climb out smartly and quickly disappear from sight.

  • @hookpilot46 wondrfull explanation....i am very fond of these toys and very soon i will b buying a bigger rc model right now have ty901 it's small but fun.. :)

  • YOUR TERRIBLE at flying choppers

  • Holy crap i am dying to know how you sorted out the control mixing to make it work. I have experience in the realthing and the first day of conversion we were told to explain what went on aerodynamically to make one yaw.. it is a nightmare. How on earth did you get it into a model?? How many engines? Mixing units?? Wow

  • Nice bit of kit, well made and a good first flight!

As is said elsewhere, too many negative posts by people who know nothing about Helicopter flying!

  • da pra miiiiiiiiiiim esse helicoptero

  • that is absolutely so cool wow i am gob smacked that must have took so much time to get right well done sir on a superb job you must be so chuffed i know i would be

    regards steve newman

  • nah but damn thtas impressive its not a two by two wing set its just two!

  • good, now stick your finger in it

  • Damn im impressed

  • Were did you get it

  • I like the RC turbines they sound more real.

  • didnt go far off the ground

  • frendly care package inbound

  • Great stuff!

  • Looks like it runs great! :D

  • beautiful model. That machine is scary!!!

  • How many channels?

  • I wanna Rpg it lol

  • Brilliant.

  • THAT RITE THERE IS A PERTY COOL LOOKIN SCALE CHINOOK-47. DON'T BLAME YA FER BEIN CAREFUL ON YER 1ST HOVER TRIALS N STUFF. GOT ONE QUESTION FER YA THOUGH. WHERE IS YER SCALE PORT N STARBARD ENGINE NACELLS FER THE REAR MAIN ROTOR SECTION OF THE FUSELAGE? STILL A NICE LOOKIN BIRD. BEST OF LUCK TO YA.

  • @bionictrucker1 perty? lol

  • @lamborghini1895 YES. . . . "PERTY"! IT'S COUNTRY "SLANG" FER "PRETTY". ALOT OF MY WORDS THAT I SAY IS PUT INTO SLANG! I'M A COUNTRY BOY FROM SOUTHWESTERN COLORADO--BORN N RAISED SO THAT'S THE WAY THAT I TALK N WRITE N STUFF! EVEN THOUGH I'M BORN N RAISED & STILL LIVE RITE HERE IN COLORADO, I DO HAVE A SOUTHERN ACCENT. DON'T RITELY KNOW WHERE IT CAME FROM, BUT I'VE GOT ONE. PEOPLE THINK THAT I'M FROM ANY ONE OF THE SOUTHERN STATES.

  • @bionictrucker1 *really

  • Hello guys,

I need some assistance... I am using chinook in my project and i want to use this helicopter without its body, i mean juts the two propellers and the electronics and bettery. will this work or not after eliminating its body.

  • congrats mate....fine work

  • Those are some beautiful grounds you have there!

  • Please upload more videos

  • thumbs up if u thiink the way the wings look at full trottle is awsome

  • @andyhasel1998 do you mean rotors?

  • @I4MJ05H yep

  • you are right rc2rotors i have nitro planes and some ppl just think they are just snap and glue they have no clue, about the balancing and timing and other tech... and they should be reminded these are not toys ...they can really hurt someone

  • imagine if the blades hit o.O

  • great helicopter, really good first flight!

  • Congratulations! Great machine, great work! :D

  • heres the future of technology

  • Awsome.. my 2nd fav heli type ;)

  • you guys are amazing!

  • Nice ! Vario kits cost an arm but are soo nice to watch flying ! Is this one using a flybarless stabilisation system ?

  • Wicked really great, fantastic to watch. Pity about the morons who slate it & you. They just don't have any idea and probably live in rented accommodation, sip Special Brew all day and don't want to work. Good luck to you!! Jon U.K

  • very sexy heli

  • Is the majority of repliers retarded? I think you meant....Are the majority.......

Oh and by the way, I flick boogers at babies.

  • can you imagine if you hit someone with that...it's like a flying lawnmower.

  • to all the idiots commenting negative... lets see you guys put such a thing together!

  • wow those engines sound great!

  • Crack open some books,LEARN Cool Hooker. 40th Avt Cmt A co.

  • THATS SICK SHIT

  • Stupid question.... Obviously the two props don't touch each other, so does one fly above the other? Or is it timed so they can fly between each other and not touch?

  • @AZZCLOWN1022 i think there is one engine that goes to one prop, and a chain connecting that prop to the other so they spin at the same speed.

  • hey man do you have any more video's of this thing in action? it looks great!

  • so did YOU design this RC from the ground up or is there a plan you went off of? I doubt I would have the patience to work put together one of these things (i fix the real ones in real life, thats ENOUGH lol,) but the mechanic in me is curious of how much realism goes into the building and fine tuneing. How closely do you have to time (phase) the rotor blades? on the real one its a very precise measurement otherwise the vibes are too high.... similar in the RC?

  • Nice job! I flew on these in the Army...looks nice!

  • The real things scare me sometimes because its like they are sending a military group to where i live BUT THEY ARE AWESOME

  • It was a nice first flight. After months of work, why do idiot things. You did exactly what you should have to do despite all these stupid comments. Nice work.

  • boring

  • omg ur so afraid of flying it properly.

why dont you just throttle it up u freak. dont think u paid 200 bucks or sth for low flight

  • ...semiscale

  • u should get scale model parts and glue them on then repaint it and make it look ill realistic

  • He needs to at least get some forward movement on that r/c.

  • that sure does look like a mighty fine rocket.

  • come on dont be a puss put the top on wen its running (: haha sic tho nice job

  • @stayfitbmx101 that was a cool joke!!!!!!

  • Nice ......... :-)

Is it very different flying a Chinook compared to a single rotor helicopter.

  • impressive!

  • Excellent job sir. My father flew CH47's for 20 years, so I've got a soft spot for them. Quite nice to see someone do them proper justice in the R/C world.

    Cheers!

  • Comment removed

  • hi do you know where i could buy a similar aircraft to that with the same scale please?

  • How do the blades not collide though?

  • Is the majority of repliers retarded?

The Video quite clearly states "1st flights with mechanics and fuselage together" I dont think he would take it more than 2 ft of the ground, if it crashes, its months of hard work ruined. Need to walk before you can run.

  • Many thanks for pointing that out to the numerous of idiots on my behalf that do not read the opening title. This was a video of the 1st test flight with the model complete, it represents 1,000's of hours work and I was not going to take any chances if something went wrong.

Since this video was taken in 2007 the helicopeter has flown very successfully and for those that are interested HIGHER...........

  • @rc2rotors Well my friend what can i say this is a absolutely amazing aircraft and alot of work has gone into this :D so good job :)

  • @rc2rotors THis is really nice mate ... I know when I am testing any heli it is in the garden about 2 feet up...

  • @robocong7420

You obviously don't know anything about these "things" or how these "things" are designed and built, you can't just go to a shop and buy one of these HELICOPTERS.

  • @rc2rotors Can I have it? Lol just kidding. Great work man, a lot of effort was put into that, it looks great. Thanks for sharing!

  • sooo thats as high as it will go

  • Does it actually fly above 1foot??

  • errrrmmmmmm....... helicopters are supposed to fly not hover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @MrLLANRWST Hovering is a form of flight,

Aeroplanes fly - forward unsupported motion in the air

Helicopters hover - primary design was for vertical take off and the ability to deliver supplies to remote or hostile locations. Hovering is flying, unsupported in the air.

  • is that the highest ya take it then?? lol

  • Great model, doesnt sound to good though

  • would nice to see it go more than 2 feet off the ground

  • so cool

  • higher higher!!! :D

  • make another vid showing it going higher plzz ;)

  • @BamitZzU THE BLADES ARE A LITTLE THIN TO MAKE MORE LIFT....OR THE PITCH CONTROL IS LIMITED...I THINK .....

  • WHAT A LOAD OF SHITE IT DIDNT EVEN GO A FOOT IN THE FUCKIN AIR WHAT A SHIT CHINOOK MY WEE 1 CAN GO HIGER LOLOLOL

  • that is friggin awsome, does it semi float like a real chinook? that would b awsome x2

  • the ants are probably like OH SHIT! THE IRAQI DEATH ANTS ARE SENDING IN REINFORCEMENTS!!!

  • Amazing auto start of a zenoah.... Where did you get this enough light to integrate it and enough strong to start the engine ? Also, do you have any other flying vids to show how it really flies ? Stationnary is good to show stability, but i really like to see them shaking a little.... I saw your building page on Vario Gallery, and nothing more to say you are just an expert...

  • Beatiful

  • hello . where did you get this large scale chinook? please reply

  • @tieuup12 : Did you get that this is a Vario mécanics and fuselage ? check it on google on vario gallery. second result page with "chinook vario". All is done by hand, so if you would like to have a complete kit, go to Hirobo wich sells one for nitro lovers.... I'm actually building kits for 500 electric versions with 3 blades rotors as well. About the same price as the hirobo kits with all electronics included (Mixer boards).

  • Super awesome! I bet you have to spend time to adjust the blade tacking on this baby.

  • is that as high as it can go?

  • make it go higher!

  • Can it go any higher?

  • How much weight can it lift?

  • Is it harder flying a dual rotor than a single rotor?

  • is there a guy with a chainsaw right behind the camera?

  • just imagine if you put your head over that chinook !!!!

  • that can cause injury if you hit the rotor mayby you lose your hand?? at least finger

  • This is Outstanding!

  • how much is it to get one of those !

  • will it hover higher than 5 inches off the ground??

  • Sexy bird for sure, If I had a few grand I would get my dad one of these, (He flew them in Nam) Its his favorite Heli and man oh man are they nice.. Get the paint done right, lights, Weather it a little.. and there you go. Good Flying :)

  • It sound like it has a bloody whipper snipper engine in it

  • This is heli is a peace of junk made in tailand with many crash options

  • HAHAHA.. LOL.. it's too fat

  • what the? why doesn't he fly it higher? I flew my RC choper until its gone into the sky. lol

  • Just hovering?!? I WANT TO SEE SOME MOVEMENT!!!

  • just hoovering.... u must practice a lot

  • they need to make an RC Bomber that fire crackers as bombs then you can go to a RC show and bomb all the other planes :D

  • those blades are going SOO fast they look like they are going slowly!

  • Higher!!!

  • omg could you imagine a blade strike

  • where do i buy 1 of these and how much are they

  • awesome!

  • whats the highest it can go?

  • i really really want one of these!! do they sell em?

  • @mark675 of coarse u can buy one of those helicopters! why do u want one bad? wat r u planning 2 do with yours?

  • @gewizz2 no other reason than i love rc helis and love chinooks, not planning to do anything but fly it really lol

  • My little Syma Chinook just pissed itself.

  • is this as high as it goes? lol

  • how the heck the blades dont hit

  • @420choky because the back blades are up higher than the front ones and they move different ways

  • That chinook is better trimmin the hedges on my lawn than anything else..lol

  • I wonder how high that can go once me and my dad made one rc plane it was a apache but it faild cause we went to high and we couldnt see it and my dad accdenlty turn it off and as soon we falling down my dad tryed turning it back on really quickly but we failed cause it wasnt starting fast enough >:( my dad worked hard on that but we made a plane instead

  • Where's the twin engines. A Chinook is not a Chinook without twin mock engines.

  • Excuse me but, where might I be able to purchase one of these?

  • @Naturepheonix ........The internet is a great place to find one : )

  • I tried already, trust me...I tried....

    There are only electric Chinooks.

  • this is self build only i think

  • NAO!!!!!!!

    This is madness!

Well I hope this guy's channel will reply me and tell me where he got it.

  • @Naturepheonix You cant buy one of these, he builds them himself!

  • very cool
